Feoras is a land of great beauty and great sorrow. In ancient times, the isolated island was its own world, warring, celebrating, and living by its own rules. Its first contact with the outside world was violent, but it resulted in the assimilation of the invader culture into its own. However, this would not be the trend and the next encounter ended with Feoras being the assimilated party. For centuries, it was subjugated by Demonessian masters until the modern age brought with it change: enormous destruction, followed by brief freedom and then patronizing stewardship.

The island suffered from poverty, but there was still beauty to be found. While its five remaining ethnicities live in an enforced peace, the tourist areas benefit from the economic boon and generate a false sense of wealth. Tourists are attracted by Mauna Inaka, the volcanic center of the island, and the black sand beaches she generated. The gentle slope of the continental shelf allows swimmers to wade into a seemingly endless sea and walk up to boats parked in the shallows. Its coral reefs are untouched in certain parts of the island and the fauna found there are unmatched.

With the economy centered around the tourism trade, it is hard to leave the main areas. However, the adventurous tourist may find other ways to pass the time. The Genfiotes in the south control the tourism areas, making sure they are clean and presentable, as do their neighbors in Ahi'iana. The Genfiotes, however, present a curiosity: their religious leaders, known as the Undying. These leaders dress entirely in grey and cover their faces with a mask and veil. When they speak, they speak as if they are not an individual; they speak as if they are from a collective consciousness, which can be unnerving for some. In Fuwoku, one can find the farmers, who toil away in the dirt and respect animals as much as humans. For the adventurous, there is Kain, a land of warriors where the leader is determined through battle prowess. While Mpali represents the industrialized portion of the island, Isis certainly fairs the best as the seat of the former colonial masters.

Humanitarians may seek to provide relief from poverty and criminals may find a new foothold, but tourists, explorers, and travelers may find adventure.

Arashi shrugged. "Most structures can't stand for very long, so the rural areas build in the same ways. They're not very sturdy either, but there is very little point when a strong wind could come through tomorrow and knock it down again." She grinned.

"Well, zat is not very sturdy at all," Vlad said, grinning back at the woman, "Most of ze old buildings in Cetatsenia are made of stone. Zey are quite..."

Vlad was going to continue on, but then he noticed that his brother had come over and was standing above them. "Yes?" he asked.

"I zink I found ze way to Fifz Street," Andrei said, having regained his composure now that he had found the street on his phone.

Vlad smiled and stood back up, turning back to Arashi, "All right Fhawan, let us get going."

Arashi smiled and stood. "Sure. Long walk?" She glanced back briefly again at the scene, trying to determine if it had broken up. The police were still surrounding the docks, but the police line was now clearly marked and there were fewer personnel spread across it. Her sister would have to take the long way around meet her at the safe house, probably skirting the other edge of the city. She might slip off from these men as soon as she had the chance. Fifth Street was rather long and these boys had done their job.

"I do not know, it depends on where your hotel is," Andrei said, "Fifz Street is a long road."

"What are you looking at?" Vlad asked, having noticed Arashi looking back. Zough it was far off, he could at least see the lights of the police and he could tell that something was going on. "Oh, zat does not look good," he said, "I wonder what is going on."

"I don't know. I have never seen so many police cars in one place." Arashi smirked. "I didn't even know we had that many!" She turned back to Andrei. "I am not sure precisely. I remember a lot of lights."

"Zat is not really much help," Andrei sighed, "All right zen, how about we just walk up and down ze Street and see if you remember which it is?"

Arashi nodded. "Of courshe. I'm sorry for the trouble, but I thank you for the assistance," she said. She swaggered down the road with the Cetatsens, walking a bit more soberly and waiting for her chance to break off. If she had been her sister, she would have flirted and found a use for these two. It seemed like her sister could improvise anything given the chance and she might have even taken one of them home. But that was the old Hana before she'd gotten married; she would continue to flirt, but now there were lines she crossed carefully. Arashi, on the other hand, only had the job on her mind and what sort of threat these two could pose if it came down to it.

She blamed the threat scenarios she was running in her head for the reason she missed the actual threat; she was distracted. The man was sodden and gritty with sand when he grabbed her around the neck. Instead of grabbing his arm, she dug her chin down to protect her throat, and went for the gun in her waistband, meeting only air. Then she felt the cold metal against her bare spine and her hands went for the arm around her throat. She pulled, testing his strength and weight and he pressed the gun harder into her flesh. "I know it's you, bitch," he hissed in Ni'ihau into her ear. "Give me one reason why I shouldn't do you right now."

Neither of the Cetatsens had noticed the man either until it was too late. Vlad's eyes immediately went wide in shock, staring at the man. Andrei, on the other hand, narrowed his eyes and glanced around quickly. He wanted to make sure there were no other assailants around; he didn't want to get taken by surprise by another one.

Then he stepped forward, motioning for his brother to get behind him. Vlad quickly complied without a word as Andrei stared at the man. He had no idea what the man wanted; he could be a common thug, or it could be something worse. Either way, this was not a pleasant situation to be in and Andrei found himself wishing he had was armed. But he wasn't, and he also was unaware that the assailant was carrying a weapon as well.

"Let her go, or zis will not end well for you," Andrei said, doing his best to be intimidating. Which wasn't too difficult, as while not exceptionally large he did have the look of a trained soldier. Despite being dressed for a day at the beach.

"I doubt it," the man replied in heavily accented English. "This is between her and me. You just need to walk away."

Arashi grit her teeth. Now was not the time for a performance, not that she could really perform under pressure. If her sister had been threatened, Arashi would have known immediately what to do while Hana kept the charade up. Arashi, however, was in battle mode and, tensing, looked less like a sloppy drunk and more like a trained professional. She couldn't struggle much with the gun cutting into her bone and she couldn't risk making a move without possibly getting shot, so she was along for the ride until she saw an opening.

"I didn't call anybody. I had as much reason as you to keep the deal silent," Arashi replied in Ni'ihau.

Despite his earlier doubting of the woman, Andrei wasn't about to simply walk away. He couldn't walk away and let this man do God knew what to Arashi. And if the man tried anything, Andrei was damn sure going to do his best to make him pay. Though there was small sense of relief at least, if this was between the two of them it meant it had nothing to do with him or Vlad. Their status as Princes of Cetatsenia hadn't put anyone in danger.

"Nu," Andrei said, glaring at the man, "And I am making zis my business."
