Feoras is a land of great beauty and great sorrow. In ancient times, the isolated island was its own world, warring, celebrating, and living by its own rules. Its first contact with the outside world was violent, but it resulted in the assimilation of the invader culture into its own. However, this would not be the trend and the next encounter ended with Feoras being the assimilated party. For centuries, it was subjugated by Demonessian masters until the modern age brought with it change: enormous destruction, followed by brief freedom and then patronizing stewardship. The island suffered from poverty, but there was still beauty to be found. While its five remaining ethnicities live in an enforced peace, the tourist areas benefit from the economic boon and generate a false sense of wealth. Tourists are attracted by Mauna Inaka, the volcanic center of the island, and the black sand beaches she generated. The gentle slope of the continental shelf allows swimmers to wade into a seemingly endless sea and walk up to boats parked in the shallows. Its coral reefs are untouched in certain parts of the island and the fauna found there are unmatched. With the economy centered around the tourism trade, it is hard to leave the main areas. However, the adventurous tourist may find other ways to pass the time. The Genfiotes in the south control the tourism areas, making sure they are clean and presentable, as do their neighbors in Ahi'iana. The Genfiotes, however, present a curiosity: their religious leaders, known as the Undying. These leaders dress entirely in grey and cover their faces with a mask and veil. When they speak, they speak as if they are not an individual; they speak as if they are from a collective consciousness, which can be unnerving for some. In Fuwoku, one can find the farmers, who toil away in the dirt and respect animals as much as humans. For the adventurous, there is Kain, a land of warriors where the leader is determined through battle prowess. While Mpali represents the industrialized portion of the island, Isis certainly fairs the best as the seat of the former colonial masters. Humanitarians may seek to provide relief from poverty and criminals may find a new foothold, but tourists, explorers, and travelers may find adventure. |

This substation was quieter than the one Andrei had encountered, but it was structured in a similar, if not smaller fashion. The police clerk looked up briefly from his crossword and then down when Vlad didn't say anything. --- Yamamoto sighed uneasily before speaking. "If xe were an Apostate, we'd likely have already resolved this situation," she replied. "Right now we are still under the impression that it might just be a gang kidnapping." |

Vlad only stood there for a moment longer, figuring that it was best to just be simple and direct. After all, he was a Prince of Cetatsenia and if his brother had contacted the police then chances were that they'd be looking for him. And Vlad saw no reason his brother wouldn't have contacted the police by now. "Uh, hello," Vlad said after walking up to the clerk, "I am Vlad Suveraneshti and I was, well, I was kind of kidnapped last night." ------ "Unless he was lying dead in a ditch somewhere," Andei said, then shook his head and sighed, "I need to stop zinking like zat; it is not helping anyzing. I wish Polunu would wake up already, zough." |

The policeman scowled and then asked Vlad to repeat his name before it sunk in. "We've been looking for you... Here, have a seat. I'll get you something to eat while I contact, ano-" He sort of stumbled off to make a phone call before coming back in and actually remembering he needed to follow through with the seat and food. He gave Vlad his seat and came back with stale cookies and coffee before dialing the phone next to Vlad. --- "That can't be helped," Yamamoto replied. "But as I said, I don't believe your brother is in terrible danger." However, she was concerned at the lack of ransom demands. |

Vlad just waited patiently and followed the man's directions; he was glad to know that his brother had contacted the police and he was being looked for. Not that Vlad had any doubts about it in the first place. He actually almost forgot about the bag in his hands, but the officer was on the phone and he didn't want to interrupt. He took one of the stale cookies, and he immediately realized how hungry he was. So while the clerk was on the phone, Vlad was busy stuffing his face with cookies and coffee, even though he wasn't particularly fond of coffee. ------ "Neizer do I, but I guess I cannot help but worry," Andrei said, then yawned. He stopped for a moment, and then yawned again, "I zink I will go and take a nap, if you do not mind. I did not exactly get much sleep last night." And he could use a nap; right now there wasn't really anything he could do yo help, so he might as well get a little sleep. And who knew, maybe they'd have some more information when he woke up. |

The man returned several minutes later to state that there would be a car coming to pick him up and take him to his brother, who was currently at the hotel with the IBI. He asked if he could get anything else for him. --- Yamamoto nodded and turned her attention elsewhere. Within minutes, she received a phone call confirming that Vlad had been recovered and was currently waiting at a police substation at a nearby beach. She immediately set a car out to pick him up with another agent and then decided to stop Andrei before he fell asleep to tell him the news. |

"Oh no, I am fine zank you," Vlad said, then held out the bag, "But I was given zis by my kidnapper. Well, my kidnapper's sister actually. And she told me to give it to ze police." ------ Andrei had begun to nod off when Yamamoto found him, but when she told him the news he bolted upright and any hint of fatigue melted away. "You found him? Where is he? Is he hurt? When can I see him?" Andrei asked, spitting out the questions rapid-fire, one right after the other. |

"Your kidnapper gave you something to give to the police?" He asked suspiciously. "Let me see it," he said and took the bag from Vlad. He unpacked the contents, which were essentially papers documenting the movements of the Apostates and gangs, though it was a little difficult to pick that up from glancing. "Why did she give you these?" --- "The officer on call didn't mention any physical damage. Your brother in fact seems to be in good spirits. He's currently at a substation and I've sent a car to go pick him up and bring him here." |

Vlad shrugged, "I have no idea. But as I said, ze one who gave it to me was not ze one who kidnapped me in ze first place. She actually seemed razer angry wiz her sister for doing it." ------ "I... Zat, zat is good to hear," Andrei said, breathing a sigh of relief. If he was not only uninjured, but in 'good spirits' then that meant he obviously wasn't treated terribly, "Do you know anyzing else yet?" |

The officer frowned. "So you were with a sister? What happened to the kidnapper?" --- Yamamoto shook her head. "Nothing of note yet. We were going to interview your brother once he was brought here. However, it doesn't seem that his kidnappers were with him and rather just let him go." |

"I really have no idea. She just left, and I did not see her again," Vlad said, shrugging as he completely forgot his promise to Hana not to tell the police about her. ------ "Huh, it is strange zat zey just let him go," Andrei said, thinking as he spoke, "Maybe zey never realized who he was. Ozerwise I see no reason zey would not have demanded a ransom." |
