If one was to take a place from the nation of Demoness to Cetatsenia, one would most likely see the dichotomy that the nation was rather known for. In the southern parts of the nation one would notice the highlands, heavily forested and almost untouched by man aside from the winding roads and the occasional town. But further north, the terrain would give away to the lowlands of the Centric Basin. This land was flat, and lacked the expansive forests, though there were smaller isolated forests. But the main difference one would notice would be the level of development, it was dominated by a large amount of farmland as the lowland soil was incredibly fertile, but there was also the occasional city, bustling with people.

Albraustana-zid was one such city, and it was the primate city of Cetatsenia, the richest and most populous and most important of them all. It was built along both sides of the great Albastru River that ran through much of Cetatsenia, though most of it was on the southern bank of the river. This was because of the simple fact that Albraustana-zid had begun life as three separate forts and settlements built along the river. Albrau and Stana had been built on the Southern bank, and over time had grown together until they were finally united into Albraustana. And while Zid would eventually become part of the greater whole, for a long time it was simply considered a city separated from the capital only by the river.

Since it had grown organically over the numerous years, and had once been three separate cities, the streets and roads had a habit of being winding and could be complicated to navigate for those unfamiliar with them who had no map. Though the roads had over time been widened and revamped in order to accommodate cars, and the newest sections of the city on the outskirts actually had a gridded street plan. As it was the middle of the day, the streets were currently filled with cars and buses, and the sidewalks filled with pedestrians, while the newest addition to the city's transportation network, the subway system, ran below the streets.

While there was a number of attractions in the city, such as the museums and baths, one of the most prominent is the Palatul Regal, the Royal Palace. The site of the original settlement of Albrau and lying atop a hill, it has been torn down or otherwise destroyed and then subsequently rebuilt several times throughout history. The most recent being the ascension of Ioan I to the throne of Cetatsenia, though it has been renovated and updated since then.

The Palace itself is surrounded by a wall that rings the entirety of the hill, with only a single gate leading up to it. The wall is patrolled by a special corps of Cetatsenian soldiers, easily identified by their bright blue ceremonial uniforms and ornate, pointed helmets. After that, a road lead up to the palace proper, an expansive building with a stone exterior that shared more in common with a medieval castle than what one thinks of when they hear the word 'palace'. It was home to a fair number of servants, as well as the guardsmen, and a small number of government officials. Most of those lived out in the city, and worked in their own buildings. It was absolutely huge, and in front of it was an expansive pool of water. Overall, it was an impressive sight that could be seen from a good portion of the city.

At the moment, however, Voivode Gavril IV Suveraneshti was not at his home in the palace. Rather he was at the airport, which had been cleared of any citizens besides him, the guards arrayed with him, and those who worked there; all flights to this airport had either been delayed or rerouted to other nearby airports. Today was an important day, as this was the decided upon day of Jia Li's visit to Cetatsenia. As two nations whose relationship could be accurately described as "mutually neutral", this was a rather important meeting, and Gavril did not want to mess anything up. So he stood alongside his older sister Andreea, the Steward of Cetatsenia, in the airport, ready to head out onto the tarmac to greet the Empress as soon as her plane set down.

"Bleh, part of an architect's job is to make a building look nice. Not just functional," Gavrila said, "What point is having an ugly eyesore sitting right in ze middle of a city?"

"Oh come now, ze buildings may not be creative but zey are still beautiful buildings," Gavril said, "And besides, zey are different on ze inside."

"Yeah, yeah, yeah; whatever," Gavrila said, signifying that the argument was over and that she didn't particularly care anymore. As she did, the cars pulled in front of the museum itself and parked. There were plenty of people about, though it wasn't quite crowded. Some of them glanced at the cars, but the windows were tinted so none of them realized who was in them yet.

However, some stopped to gaze curiously at the cars once the security in the other car exited the vehicle and began to make their way to the Voivode's car. In addition, there were several security guards in light blue uniforms situated near the front doors of the museum, and from the glances they many glances they received from passersby it was plain they were not normal.

"Oh yes, I forgot to mention it but when I informed ze museum of our visit, ze said zey would increase zeir own security in addition to what we bring," Gavril said, smiling.

Ariana didn't get very far once leaving Marcus's room. The fight between her, Marcus, and Arelia had not been a quiet one and when what sounded like a protracted struggle was heard in one of the rooms, the Garzile de la Palat had been notified immediately. And now they were standing before Ariana Nedia; 5 men total, all wearing black suits and serious expressions. All of them were armed with handguns, and the guard in front had his fully drawn.

He didn't bother holstering the weapon as he spoke to Ariana. "Excuse me Head Handmaid, is zere a problem going on here?" he asked, his tone polite but firm and utterly serious.

Jia Li nodded. "Of course," she replied, completely used to a large amount of security. Truthfully, she enjoyed less security and had actually been gifted it at times, but as the years passed it became more evident that excessive security would be the norm. She decided to focus on the visit. "So will you be the tour guide?" she asked teasingly.

---

Ariana seemed completely unfazed by the display, but she bowed her head demurely and averted her eyes. "Yes, it appears that a minor one has occurred," she replied. "Before Goto left with the royal party this afternoon, she was supposed to explain to local security that we would be participating in an internal exercise. I apologize for any inconvenience or confusion this has caused and I will speak with her about the error when she returns." She paused, as if she intended to leave, and then turned back and continued to address the lead guard. "I intended to go down to the kitchen to check on with the kitchen staff, but I assume then that a report of some kind must be filed. Am I correct?"

Gavril grinned at Jia Li, "I suppose you could say zat. Zough ze museums are more self-guided, and pretty linear."

"Anyway, come on," Gavrila said, stretching her arm out, "It is time to go."

Once the doors to the car opened and the passengers, both Cetatsen and Demonessian alike, exited, a murmur went through the people around and inside the museum. The people were obviously curious and excited at the presence of the Voivode, though they all kept their distance from the group. Gavril grinned and waved at the people around, and another excited murmur went through them. "Anyways, shall we get going?" Gavril asked.

------

The head Guard nodded his head. "I am sorry for ze inconvenience, but we do have to make a report. Including a statement from everyone involved," he said, then gestured towards the door with his head.

A pair of guards made their way to the room and looked inside the room. They seemed completely unfazed by Marcus and Arelia's various states of undress; partly out of professionalism and partly out of the Cetatsen view of nudity.

"I apologize for ze intrusion, but we need you boz to come wiz us," one guard said.

"We need your statements for ze report on ze incident zat just occurred," the other added, "I assume you will want to get dressed first, correct?"

The guards were being purposely vague on the details, and not mentioning Ariana's explanation. It was standard procedure when it came to disturbances like this; they told as little as possible to the people involved about what the others involved had said so that they couldn't collaborate on a lie. Even if it was a minor disturbance, it was still part of the Garzile de la Palat's job to know exactly what had actually happened.

Jia Li nodded. Makoto stepped out first, followed by her, and then Xel. As they walked toward the museum, she said, "Are they always this excited to see you? First at the library and now here."

---

Ariana nodded and waited patiently for the guards to collect the others. However, she felt minorly inconvenienced as she was in charge of poison testing in the Palace and had already attempted to continue her function here.

Upon hearing unfamiliar footsteps enter the room, Arelia was careful not to draw attention to any amontsu weaponry and paraphernalia that was currently about and instead made for a display of modesty by covering herself further. Marcus, however, was more confident and nodded, stepping between her and the guards as he held the sheathed sword by his side. "Of course. If you'll give us a few moments, please. I believe the lady would like to dress in private."

"Well I am ze Voivode, and I am not a person zat every Cetatsen sees everyday," Gavril said, "And I do not zink zey are zat excited."

"Yeah, zere could be yelling and screaming and crowding," Gavrila joked as the group began ascending to stairs to the museum's entrance, "At least zey are not ze press. Ugh, I hate it when ze press decides to show up."

"Probably because you are not particularly adept at dealing wiz reporters," Andreea said.

------

The head Guard watched Ariana, and though she was being patient and compliant he couldn't help but feel like she didn't want to. Which was understandable, considering she was Head Handmaid and most likely had things that she needed to be doing. But at the moment that was unimportant; she could get on with what she needed to get done once her statement was taken, assuming everything went well.

Meanwhile in the room the two guards looked at each other for a moment, before one of them nodded his head towards Marcus, "Alright, zat is not a problem."

"Zough we would appreciate it if you are quick about it," the other added, "Ze sooner you finish ze sooner zis will be done wiz."

"Why do you deal with reporters?" Jia Li asked curiously.

---

"Of course. It shouldn't be long," Marcus replied. Once they had left the room, both set about dressing quickly. Marcus decided that it was best to wear his uniform as he also intended to wear his pistol and sword with him. Arelia efficiently put dressed herself as well and replaced what weaponry she could into the folds of her dress or other places without giving away the secrecy, even to Marcus. What she could not conceal she hid in a separate place in the room.

As they dressed, Marcus said, "I assume this will be filed under a 'training exercise'." Arelia merely nodded; she was used to this sort of thing, though it had been the first time she was personally tested by Ariana. Within a few minutes they were presentable: Marcus was in his full uniform, albeit a bit shaggy, and Arelia was in a simple dress.

"Same reason any famous person has to deal wiz zem I suppose," Gavril said with a shrug, "And if we are in public I do not want to just order zem to leave unless zey are making zings difficult for everyone. I would feel like a tyrant."

"Zat would be better zan punching zem in ze face," Andreea replied, with a glance at her cousin. Gavrila just rolled her eyes and said, "Oh, zat was only once."

------

When the two Guards had exited the room, and those inside didn't follow, the head Guard to the two of them expectantly. "Ei nu au fost îmbrăcați, și a solicitat intimitate," one said. "Și chiar dacă am fost acolo, nu putem vorbi limba Diavolița," the other added.

The head Guard nodded at their response, and then said nothing further until Marcus and Arelia exited the room. At that point he nodded to the two of them and spoke, "I must apologize for ze inconvenience, but we need to take your statements about what occurred here. It should not take very long."

"You will all be accompanied to our offices here in ze Palatul Regal; zey are not very far," he continued. Then he turned to the two who had entered the room, "Voi doi va însoți Lunar mare străjer." Then to the remaining two, "Voi doi va escorta pe doamna de acolo. Eu va însoți roaba cap."

The four guards made their way over to Arelia and Marcus, while the head Guard turned to Ariana. "I will be ze one accompanying you to our offices, please follow me." Meanwhile the two pairs had said the same thing to Arelia and Marcus, though each pair did so individually making it obvious that the three Demonessians wouldn't be traveling together.

"Ah, I see," Jia Li replied. "I think we discussed that it is and has been illegal for the media to be within a certain distance from the Imperial Family without permission. It allows us to maintain our privacy."

---

OOC: I'm not sure what to take from your dialog. That's the first time I've actually bothered to translate from the Romanian. :-p However, "Lunr big watcher" is hilarious.

IC:
The three Demonessians seemed fairly accepting of the arrangement and offered no resistance. If anything, all three were used to routine and saw it more as an inconvenience than an obstacle. However, Ariana raised a slight protest: "How long do you expect this to take? I have duties to perform and Corbmac-shiro must be at the Empress' side by sunset." Marcus stopped, pausing to hear the answer as it was possibly the most important statement he would hear that day.

"For ze most part ze media here respects ze privacy of ze royal family; zey are not allowed on ze palace grounds wizout permission for example," Gavril said as the group reached the top of the stairs and finally entered the building. The museum security guards gave a respectful nod to the Voivode's guards as they passed, which several returned.

Immediately after the doors was an area separated from a cavernous room by a long desk, where normal citizens were paying to enter into the museum proper. The room beyond was incredibly spacious, and it had a modern look despite the age of the building. It was illuminated by both lights and by windows set high up on the walls. There were several floors, with entrances to several exhibits located on each. The sign were in both Cetatsen and English, and from a cursory glance it was obvious that the lower floors were earlier time periods, with more modern exhibits located above.

"Oh, voievod! Vă rog, du-te pe prin," a man at the desk said with a polite smile, gesturing to the open space beyond with his head, "Sper ca toți să vă bucurați de vizita dumneavoastră."

Half of the guards made their way through the turnstiles first, before waiting on the Voivode and the Empress. "Guests first," Gavril said with a smile to Jia Li, "And do not worry about ze fee, zat is taken care of."

"Knowing my cousin zat means 'I paid for everyone', not 'I am Voivode so I do not have to pay'," Gavrila told the Empress with a smirk.

------

"How long it takes is dependent upon you," the head Guard replied, "Once we get down to ze offices you just need to write out what exactly occurred. And in a matter like zis, zere should not be anyzing else required of you."

"So, are zere any ozer questions, or can we head over zere?"

Jia Li smiled. "Thank you," she said and sashayed through the turnstile, followed closely by her husband and Makoto. "I was curious. Where do we start? It seems like the museum is linear, as you said. Do we start in modern times or earlier?"

---

Ariana nodded, satisfied. "As long as it doesn't take long," Marcus agreed.
