If one was to take a place from the nation of Demoness to Cetatsenia, one would most likely see the dichotomy that the nation was rather known for. In the southern parts of the nation one would notice the highlands, heavily forested and almost untouched by man aside from the winding roads and the occasional town. But further north, the terrain would give away to the lowlands of the Centric Basin. This land was flat, and lacked the expansive forests, though there were smaller isolated forests. But the main difference one would notice would be the level of development, it was dominated by a large amount of farmland as the lowland soil was incredibly fertile, but there was also the occasional city, bustling with people. Albraustana-zid was one such city, and it was the primate city of Cetatsenia, the richest and most populous and most important of them all. It was built along both sides of the great Albastru River that ran through much of Cetatsenia, though most of it was on the southern bank of the river. This was because of the simple fact that Albraustana-zid had begun life as three separate forts and settlements built along the river. Albrau and Stana had been built on the Southern bank, and over time had grown together until they were finally united into Albraustana. And while Zid would eventually become part of the greater whole, for a long time it was simply considered a city separated from the capital only by the river. Since it had grown organically over the numerous years, and had once been three separate cities, the streets and roads had a habit of being winding and could be complicated to navigate for those unfamiliar with them who had no map. Though the roads had over time been widened and revamped in order to accommodate cars, and the newest sections of the city on the outskirts actually had a gridded street plan. As it was the middle of the day, the streets were currently filled with cars and buses, and the sidewalks filled with pedestrians, while the newest addition to the city's transportation network, the subway system, ran below the streets. While there was a number of attractions in the city, such as the museums and baths, one of the most prominent is the Palatul Regal, the Royal Palace. The site of the original settlement of Albrau and lying atop a hill, it has been torn down or otherwise destroyed and then subsequently rebuilt several times throughout history. The most recent being the ascension of Ioan I to the throne of Cetatsenia, though it has been renovated and updated since then. The Palace itself is surrounded by a wall that rings the entirety of the hill, with only a single gate leading up to it. The wall is patrolled by a special corps of Cetatsenian soldiers, easily identified by their bright blue ceremonial uniforms and ornate, pointed helmets. After that, a road lead up to the palace proper, an expansive building with a stone exterior that shared more in common with a medieval castle than what one thinks of when they hear the word 'palace'. It was home to a fair number of servants, as well as the guardsmen, and a small number of government officials. Most of those lived out in the city, and worked in their own buildings. It was absolutely huge, and in front of it was an expansive pool of water. Overall, it was an impressive sight that could be seen from a good portion of the city. At the moment, however, Voivode Gavril IV Suveraneshti was not at his home in the palace. Rather he was at the airport, which had been cleared of any citizens besides him, the guards arrayed with him, and those who worked there; all flights to this airport had either been delayed or rerouted to other nearby airports. Today was an important day, as this was the decided upon day of Jia Li's visit to Cetatsenia. As two nations whose relationship could be accurately described as "mutually neutral", this was a rather important meeting, and Gavril did not want to mess anything up. So he stood alongside his older sister Andreea, the Steward of Cetatsenia, in the airport, ready to head out onto the tarmac to greet the Empress as soon as her plane set down. Marina just smiled and nodded her head, "Zat is no problem at all. See you zen." She made her way back down to the Great Hall, where Gavril, Andreea, Gavrila, and Aurel were already all sitting down. They were all already dressed as well, though Gavrila wasn't wearing her suit jacket yet. In addition she was currently lying her head down on the table, and in all likelihood was taking a nap. The food had already been set for breakfast with both Cetatsenian and Demonessian food, though there was noticeable less than there was for dinner. It was a combination of two things; breakfast was generally a smaller meal than dinner and they didn't have the servants to feed after either, those who lived there had already eaten and those who didn't were expected to eat before they arrived. They sat in the same positions as the night before, and Gavril looked up with a pleasant smiles as Marina entered the Great Hall. He tilted his head curiously when the Empress didn't follow and once Marina made his way to him he spoke up in Romanian. "So, the Empress?" he asked. "Miss Nedia said that they will all be down in a few minutes," she said, "Empress Jia Li still needs to wake up." Gavril nodded his head, "Ah, I see. Thank you." "It was my pleasure," Marina said, before nodding her head in respect and making her way a distance off. She would be serving them and the Demonessian guests much in the same way she had at dinner the previous night. "Perhaps we should have waken her up earlier?" Gavril mused. "She would've been if you hadn't fallen back asleep," Andreea said with a smile, "And after you'd already gotten dressed no less." Gavril rolled his eyes, "At least I am awake now. Unlike someone here." He last sentence was punctuated with a look at Gavrila, snoozing on the table. "I apologize," Aurel said, "I should have gotten her to bed earlier." Andreea and Gavril both shook their heads. "Don't apologize," Andreea said, "It's not your fault she decided to stay up several hours later than everyone else." "I'm surprised she doesn't have a hangover with all that vodka she drank last night," Gavril said, "Especially considering she spent those extra hours drinking with some of the servants." |

Ariana gently roused Jia Li, much like a mother rousing her school-aged child. At first, she resisted, but over the years she had become accustomed to awaking to Ariana's hand and wiped the sleep from her eyes. Xel immediately rose, kissed his wife, and dressed himself. He gave a significant glance to Makoto, who shrugged; they might need to rid themselves of Ariana later. "The Voivode is waiting for you downstairs," Ariana said as she helped Jia Li out of bed. Jia Li nodded, allowing Ariana to disrobe her. "I don't think the makeup and normal attire is necessary." Ariana nodded. She bathed Jia Li with a sponge, which was normal, and dressed her before brushing her hair. They were done in less time, but it still took several minutes before Jia Li was ready. As they set off downstairs, Makoto stopped Ariana, gently reminding her of the task the other handmaid had given her earlier. She seemed a bit perturbed, but she obeyed. Jia Li was smiling as she arrived downstairs. "I apologize. I suppose we should have cleared up when we were going to meet. I hope you didn't wait too long." |

Gavril and Andreea both shook there heads. "Oh no, we have not been waiting zat long at all," Gavril said with a smile, then he made a pointed glance at his cousin, "And I zink someone at ze table is grateful for any extra time you may have given her." Aurel put his hand gently on Gavrila's shoulder, who had begun to drool onto her arm, and gently shook her awake. Despite him being gentle Gavrila shot up quickly, her eyes wide as she said loudly, "Pantalonii sunt vin!" The other Cetatsens in the room gave her a strange look, but she merely shrugged it off. Then she noticed Jia Li and Xel and grinned. "Hey zere! How did you all sleep?" |

Jia Li returned the grin. "Well, thank you. I see you didn't get much sleep." |

"Nah, not really," Gavrila responded, grinning as she rubbed one of her eyes, "I ended up staying up for a few more hours drinking wiz a couple of ze servants." "Anyway, please sit," Gavril said, "Zen we can get everyone zeir drinks and we can start eating!" At the mention of eating Gavrila perked up even more, with her grin growing even wider than before. |

Jia Li smiled and took her seat, along with Xel. Makoto had managed to eat earlier, so he didn't take a seat. "How did the two of you sleep?" she asked Gavril and Andreea. |

"I slept fairly well," Gavril replied simply. "As did I," Andreea added. It was then that Marina made her way over to the table, smiling at the Empress and her entourage. She was curious about where Ariana was, but she decided there was no reason to ask; she probably had other duties to attend to. "So, what would you like to drink?" she asked, "Zere is coffee, tea, and juices ready. But I can go and get you somezing else to drink if you prefer it." |

Both of them ordered tea, assuming it would be similar to theirs. "So what is the plan today?" Jia Li replied. "I recall you were arranging a tour." |

Marina nodded her head and made her way off to get the drinks, the Cetatsens having already told her what they wanted. "Well first on ze list is ze tour of ze Castel de Nebunie" Gavril replied, "Since it is outside of ze city and a fair ways away I figured zat it would be best to get zat out of ze way first." "And it is gonna be fucking awesome," Gavrila added, grinning. |
