If one was to take a place from the nation of Demoness to Cetatsenia, one would most likely see the dichotomy that the nation was rather known for. In the southern parts of the nation one would notice the highlands, heavily forested and almost untouched by man aside from the winding roads and the occasional town. But further north, the terrain would give away to the lowlands of the Centric Basin. This land was flat, and lacked the expansive forests, though there were smaller isolated forests. But the main difference one would notice would be the level of development, it was dominated by a large amount of farmland as the lowland soil was incredibly fertile, but there was also the occasional city, bustling with people.

Albraustana-zid was one such city, and it was the primate city of Cetatsenia, the richest and most populous and most important of them all. It was built along both sides of the great Albastru River that ran through much of Cetatsenia, though most of it was on the southern bank of the river. This was because of the simple fact that Albraustana-zid had begun life as three separate forts and settlements built along the river. Albrau and Stana had been built on the Southern bank, and over time had grown together until they were finally united into Albraustana. And while Zid would eventually become part of the greater whole, for a long time it was simply considered a city separated from the capital only by the river.

Since it had grown organically over the numerous years, and had once been three separate cities, the streets and roads had a habit of being winding and could be complicated to navigate for those unfamiliar with them who had no map. Though the roads had over time been widened and revamped in order to accommodate cars, and the newest sections of the city on the outskirts actually had a gridded street plan. As it was the middle of the day, the streets were currently filled with cars and buses, and the sidewalks filled with pedestrians, while the newest addition to the city's transportation network, the subway system, ran below the streets.

While there was a number of attractions in the city, such as the museums and baths, one of the most prominent is the Palatul Regal, the Royal Palace. The site of the original settlement of Albrau and lying atop a hill, it has been torn down or otherwise destroyed and then subsequently rebuilt several times throughout history. The most recent being the ascension of Ioan I to the throne of Cetatsenia, though it has been renovated and updated since then.

The Palace itself is surrounded by a wall that rings the entirety of the hill, with only a single gate leading up to it. The wall is patrolled by a special corps of Cetatsenian soldiers, easily identified by their bright blue ceremonial uniforms and ornate, pointed helmets. After that, a road lead up to the palace proper, an expansive building with a stone exterior that shared more in common with a medieval castle than what one thinks of when they hear the word 'palace'. It was home to a fair number of servants, as well as the guardsmen, and a small number of government officials. Most of those lived out in the city, and worked in their own buildings. It was absolutely huge, and in front of it was an expansive pool of water. Overall, it was an impressive sight that could be seen from a good portion of the city.

At the moment, however, Voivode Gavril IV Suveraneshti was not at his home in the palace. Rather he was at the airport, which had been cleared of any citizens besides him, the guards arrayed with him, and those who worked there; all flights to this airport had either been delayed or rerouted to other nearby airports. Today was an important day, as this was the decided upon day of Jia Li's visit to Cetatsenia. As two nations whose relationship could be accurately described as "mutually neutral", this was a rather important meeting, and Gavril did not want to mess anything up. So he stood alongside his older sister Andreea, the Steward of Cetatsenia, in the airport, ready to head out onto the tarmac to greet the Empress as soon as her plane set down.

Vasile just nodded, then looked over at Xel. "Um, you should probably go too," he said, a bit nervous at telling the husband of the Demonessian Empress what to do.

Gavril nodded his head in agreement, "It is for ze best." Then he, alongside all the other Cetatsens made their way to the bathroom.

Once everyone was finished, and had returned to the tour guide, he clasped his hands together and smiled. "So, shall we get started?" he said.

"Iadul da!" Gavrila responded rather enthusiastically, almost before the man was able to finish his sentence.

Gavril just chuckled and looked over at Jia Li, "We are ready whenever you are."

Xel nodded and took the opportunity to use the restroom before temporarily taking Makoto's place to allow him the same opportunity. Jia Li smiled when she exited as he had adopted the same strict posture that Makoto had displayed; it reminded her of their teenage years and she quietly teased him. He smiled in response and they shared a low, intimate conversation as they walked over to the Cetatsens. Makoto joined them silently soon after.

Jia Li stopped laughing when Gavril spoke, though her face was still in a wide grin. "I think we're ready," she said, hanging on her husband's arm. He relinquished his strict posture, allowing her to melt against him; as they got more comfortable with the Cetatsens, it was easier for him to accept her public displays of affection. She would do it anyway and she wouldn't be offended by their rejection, but Xel would always be a guard and he wouldn't relax while he was mentally still on duty.

As the Demonessians approached, Gavrila grinned at them. She really did find Jia Li and Xel's relationship adorable, but at the moment she was too focused on the impending tour to tease them about how cute they looked. Something which Andreea was silently thankful for.

"Alright, so let us get started," Vasile said, and lead the group out of the building and towards the castle. It wasn't a particularly long walk up the path to the castle, and it was actually surrounded by a small wall about a foot in height. Said wall had no gate, and didn't even have a break along the path, instead just crossing over the path.

"Watch your step," Vasile said as he stepped over the miniscule wall. As they got even closer, one could tell that all the Cetatsens were looking forward to the tour, though Gavrila was positively beaming.

As they arrived at the steps, one could look up and see that some of the windows appeared to have wood or brick behind them. Vasile made his way up the steps, took a handle of the big double-doors in each hand and threw the doors open.

Revealing a brick wall only a few inches inside the door.

Gavrila let out a laugh as the tour guide opened the doors, "Ha, I had forgotten about zat part."

Xel raised his eyebrow at the path's obstruction, but he stepped over the wall without a word and turned around to give his wife a hand. She had more difficulty traversing the wall since her skirt were so long and she bunched them up in one hand while holding Xel's hand with the other; Makoto poised himself behind her, ready to catch her if she lost her balance. She stepped onto the wall and then carefully stepped down on the other side, where she smoothed her skirt down. Makoto followed her, easily stepping over the wall as well.

Jia Li laughed. "I'm skinny, but I don't think I can fit through that crack," she said as the guide revealed the brick wall.

"I do not expect you to," Vasile said, "Ze actual entrance is on ze ozer side of ze Castel de Nebunie."

Once more he lead the group, this time following a path that went around the building. It was now that the Demonessians were able to see that this side was completely identical to the front, down to the very last detail. The only exception being that different windows were blocked off from the inside.

"Ze castle exterior is actually completely symmetrical, down to ze last detail," Gavril said, "All four sides look exactly ze same. It is probably ze strangest sing you can see from ze outside."

As they passed by the door on this side, Vasile gestured to it. "Zis door and ze one on ze ozer side are not even real," he said, glancing back at the group, "Zey are boz just carved and painted wood."

"Why is the first one even functional then?" Jia Li asked.

"Zere are many questions I can answer about ze building," Vasile said, as the group turned the corner and began making its wa towards the one real entrance, "But none about why it was made ze way it is. Ze only one who knew was insane and has been dead for a long time."

"What sort of questions do you normally get about the building?" Jia Li asked curiously.

"Questions about when it was built, about Carol ze Mad, about how it was built, and so on and so forz," Vasile said, "In addition to ze questions nobody knows ze answers to."

They had arrived, and Vasile had begun to open the door when he stopped and turned around. "And, um, if you have any questions at any point, all you need to do it ask," he said. Then he opened the door, which opened up to a normal enough room, though it was rather small and had a window built into the right side with a set of stairs on the other side. It was here that Vasile also picked up a dark blue duffel bag and swung it across his shoulder.

"Any questions before we begin?" he asked.

Despite being curious about the duffle bag, Jia Li shook her head. "Not as of yet," she replied.
