We are in the process of converting users over to the LS9 security. We set-up a few users abd they cannot run any jobs. When they click on submit and then submit in the pop-up bosx they get a security violation. The batch role is assigned to them. It almost seems like the job queue itself is secured. Thanks JC |

I've run into something similar. Try this. 1) Goto the sec admin tool. 2) User Management. 3) Manage Identities 4) Click on the LSF environment 5) Select login for the query and enter the ID that is having problems. 6) Execute Query 7) Click on the ID in the top pane. On the bottom pane it should show you what RMid's are assigned to that ID. Normally it should be just 1 to 1. Sometimes multiple ones get mapped to the wrong ID. 8) If you see multiple ones, write down the incorrect ones, go back to user management and remap their LSF environment ID's to the correct ones. |

The error message we are getting now is that the job queue is secure |

I am still learning LSA myself. One thing I can ask is - have you checked what security the "BatchRole" gives users? It's important to know how to review what security classes are in the Role, and to be able to see what Rules are in each Security Class. Value = $ 0.02 |

We had this problem for many of our users, when we moved to LSF9. The problem was that the users were accustomed to not having to select a job queue in the drop down as it always had defaulted to the ****** job queue. For some reason, that did not translate over to LSF9, and the jobs would not submit as there was no queue selected. As long as the user clicked in the dropdown and actually selected a queue, the job would submit. But that was an extra keystroke, so we simply added the default job queue, (******), to each job queue group. Not sure if this is your problem, but HTH. |

Our security admin went to Lawson training and was told just to assign the lawson provided "batchrole" to the users That only works if you only use the ******* job queue. We have multiple job queue. We had to go into the "batch" security class under the ENV profile and add each job queue |
