Hindustani: 24% Siujunese: 20% Auricher: 17.5% Creole: 14% Javanese: 12% Maroons: 10% Taíno: 2.5%
Christianity: 36% Hinduism: 28% Irreligious (Nonreligious, Atheist, etc.): 24% Islam: 12%
I was thinking that Zhongdao could have originally been colonized by Arumdaun for strategic and trade purposes in 1512ish(?), of course perhaps there were failed expeditions by Corumian powers prior to that. Although I apply the term 'colonizing' loosely, since it would probably only consist of control over a select few strategic ports, and then it would have been handed over to the Siujunese later, perhaps in 1531?
I was modeling the nation geographically off Cuba, so maybe nickel and bauxite?
May 16th, 1962
Since I'm basing it off of Cuba geographically, I would say that Jianghua is generally flat to rolling plains apart from the Sheshan mountains or Jianghua's 'spine' as it runs through the island. However, Xunya is more mountainous and less flat.
The capital is Shenggu and is in the Jianghua's hinterland with a population of 482,000. The nation's economic and financial capital is the coastal city of Chengzhai with a metropolitan population of 4.2 million.
82% urban/18% rural EDIT: Forgot Sab's,
The typical Zhongdan's view on Siujun largely depends on their ethnicity, with most Zhongdan-Siujunese, Auricher's, and Creole's having mixed to positive views of Siujun, whereas Zhongdan-Hindustani's, Javanese, Maroons, and Taíno's tend to hold more mixed to negative views of Siujun as they faced informal discrimination during colonial rule. By 'drug' I assume you mean 'narcotic' however no, Zhongdao does not suffer from heavy involvement in the narcotics trade, although the nation is a huge transshipment point for Lucerna South American narcotics destined to Corum.
Zhongdao enforces relatively strict environmental guidelines and plans to wean it's self of fossil fuels and switch to more renewable sources.

Zhongdao is a presidential, unitary, constitutional, representative republic, with no historic coups having taken place since it's independence.
Modern Day Leaders: Bao Huang -- current President of Zhongdao and key leader of the Republican Front Priyanka Deshpande -- leader of the Labour Party and Blue-Red-Purple party coalition, which controls Congress. Adashe Hundungu -- leader of the Christian Democrat Party and main opposition leader as well as leader of the Yellow-Green-Orange opposition party coalition. Historical Leaders: Xue 'Dongfeng' Wei - The primary Zhongdan independence leader, who negotiated the 1961 plebiscite and who is widely considered as a national hero Jiang Crispina - An independence and Creole/Maroon/Taíno activist most prominently active during the 1920s known for her selfless charity Hemadri 'Vaachaspati' Mukherjee - A prominent Hindustani activist who called for Zhongdan independence and the end of anti-Hindustani discrimination Gangadatt 'Saheli' Varma - A prominent Hindustani activist who sought to end Hindustani and Maroon discrimination in the 1890s Wahyu Somohardjo - A prominent Javanese activist who called for religious reconciliation between the Muslim Javanese and the rest of Zhongdan society.
Ehhhh, maybe, it'd have to be recently discovered though. However, even then it wouldn't be all that much, at most 5 billion barrels (which is kind of a lot) Edited by Kamchatkalia, Jan 14 2014, 09:33 PM.
