Okay, here are the rules, please obey them in order to prevent problems, alright?

1. No extra detailed violence. For one, some people are very squeamish about such images and Second, for the sake of shoulder-hovering younger relatives people may have AND for the sake of sneaky-naughty kids who sneak accounts on sites they are not supposed to join until the proper age.

2. We also ask that Romance is kept to a limit. s*xual themes are absolutley forbidden and untolerated on here, even through wierd untolerated metaphors meant to hide them (that actually still conveys the same disturbing image). If any themes involving s*x- skip it all, if female partner gets pregnant and is near to having her child, please skip the child birth scene and state that a child was born.
Anything of the like should either be skipped entirely or brought to PM if you and the other so desire to continue.

3. Any canon characters (characters from/in the game) are first come first serve unless stated otherwise by the roleplay creator (and they'd better have a good reson for it otherwise this ducky is gonna get angry! D=< ).

4. Original/fan-made characters... whatever you would like to call them, are allowed. If you would rather roleplay as them, go ahead (unless otherwise stated in one's roleplay)! This is why we had the "Roleplay Characters" forum in the first place.

5. In the "roleplay Characters" forum: Do not claim anyone else's characters as your own, that includes Nintendo's, Rare's, SEGA's, Sony's, etc.! If a character has the same name or a few of the sam qualities or whatever, it is understood that it is only out of coincidence. It is also understood that there's a difference between copying and coincidence. If anyone is seen trying to claim another's character as their own, please notify one of the staff members immedeatly so that the situation on hand can be looked over and solved.

6. Any form of roleplaying is allowed, as long as you are in character. Whether it's...

Character: says this *does that* (thinks whatever)

or

She leaps out the window and shouts "back off!" Then realized what she did and thought in a panic, 'Oh wait no!'

or whatever!

Any form of roleplaying is always allowed (<--as long as the other participants can understand what you typed) unless otherwise specified by the roleplay starter.

7. Please let us (us as in Staff, other users in or reading the roleplay) know when you are speaking out of character/context (whatever you believe fits better) (OOC) either by

OOC: Whatever you want to say to someone

or

(Whatever you want to say to someone)

or whatever you may be used to, as long as we know the difference between when you roleplay, and when you want to discuss something "OOC"

8. Roleplay creators can set rules to their roleplay as long as they do not contradict from/disobey/stray off from any of these (because these rules apply to roleplaying in general, they apply to your roleplays too, so always keep this in mind). If someone does so, please tell us so that action can be taken. Meaning we will ask them to change the set rules, if any refusal to do so, the person will pay consequences, so please avoid the mess, roleplay starters.

9. Please, during any situation in ANY roleplay, please give your fellow roleplayers a good chance to respond. If you prevent someone from doing so, or if someone feels that you won't let them respond in any way, you will be asked to either change your post, or leave the roleplay topic (only if you refuse to do the first thing).

10. Please do not control other people's characters, it is very rude and it automatically ruins our roleplaying environment.

Hypnosis &/or brainwashing?

If it is a character's power or a plot device or whatever, please ask the opponent/target roleplayer FIRST! Otherwise you are being unfair and disobeying not only this rule, but rule 9.

But even at that, do not take full control of your target/opponent' character in such a way that violates this rule! That means not letting them type out even a bit or scrap of what their character says/thinks/does/whatever (depending the situation)

Disobeying any of these rules will result in any of these:

#1 You will be politely asked to turn the situation around (change the wrong of what you might have done to violate these rules so that nothing goes wrong) Please try your best.

#2 If you refuse to do the first option, you will be booted out of the roleplay topic.

#3 If you keep up with persistant flaming, fighting, annoyances, ranting, etc. (especially if you return to the topic you may have been booted out of) ... You will be booted out of here for a bit (meaning you'll be able to come back after a while) OR (if necessary) Forever (meaning you will not be able to come back)(<-Depending the situation, or depending how many times you have caused trouble/ been banned)

Also, it is advised that you use third person as opposed to first. Even if you do believe you are who you are roleplaying as. Meaning it is recommended that instead of...

Ex: I jumped over to Teresa's side in defense.
(This is very different from "Me: bla bla bla *continues on*" mind you. )

...you just use the name of that character (in place of "I" ) and replace "me"s and "my"s with him/her or his/hers (or it or it's (if necessary)) except when that character (or "you" if you so believe that it IS you ) is (/are) speaking. See? Easy.
It's just so that other users (including the staff) don't get confused or anything.

You won't get in trouble for using first person (and it's not like we are against the use of it, anyway), but just keep in mind that it DOES confuse people (because that actually does happen).

It's also Highly advisable Roleplayers do not doublepost Here is an example of what not to do!
Example:
_____
ROFLMAO22333~

then he shouted"aaaaAAAAH!" he spilld beads al over th flor
_____
ROFLMAO22333~

(whoopsy) and he waited vry impatiently fr Falc to pick them up.
_____
Thequackwhoeatstoast~

OOC: You just double posted... DX (Please consider using the edit button)
_____

The only time this should ever be allowed is on your own Roleplay character topic. Keep in mind there is an edit button you can put to good use!

Anyway, this yapping-quacking duck is OUT!
Have fun roleplaying and don't cause trouble, okay?
