Hi,

If you're reading this soon enough after I post it, you know that this forum is a work in progress. It doesn't have a lot of people, it doesn't have a lot of content, and a lot about it is just awkward. I know it; I'm not going to pretend that it isn't so. But it's for that reason I'd like you to hang around and become a part of our community. The fact that you're here reading this probably means that you and I both share a wish. We wish that there was a place on the internet where people could casually discuss brain and mind science in the same way people casually discuss philosophy and physics and doctoring and so forth elsewhere on the net. There's a lot of interest out there in a place like it, but these days you mostly have to already have the right friends or the right job in order to be able to share your love for the brain/mind sciences with someone else who understands.

This forum represents an attempt to change that; it represents an attempt to build a suitable home for people who dig neuroscience and/or psychology like you and myself. But for it to work out, we're going to need your help. We need you to join in. Post what you came looking for this forum to post, and then think of other things to post about. Create and share content that you think will help out and even connect you to another forum wanderer who shares your passion. Make this site your blog, your idea flesher, your raving shelter. Whether you're a hobbyist or a professor or a student like me, we need you and want to support you. Be part of our forum and try to make the most of what it is, and I promise that we will in turn do our part to make it more than that.

Together, we can build a community.

Thanks,
Psyche
