Hi, I am in Luxembourg right now (arrived Saturday), and it is the weekend. Thus, all the banks are closed, and there seems to be no currency exchange offices at all in the city. I've asked in hotels, tourist information desk, and train station, and everyone either said they don't know or banks are the only places to exchange money. I do have cash (USD) and credit cards, but when I tried to use the credit card, they could not get it to work even though I had notified my bank prior to leaving the country. Based on what I know, I think I will have to wait until the banks open on Monday. I know there are ATMs everywhere, and I have seen them everywhere, but I'm always phobic about using them...particularly when they are outside. My question is can I just go into any bank and request an exchange or do you have to have an account with them? Please help. Thanks! I didn't find the right solution from the Internet.
