[[ Mission here ]]

It had been quite some time since Satoshi had taken on a mission himself. At least three years. But this was of grave importance. Though it was only a group of about four Jounin, they could pose a serious threat. Especially if they had amassed other followers by now. A lot could happen in two months and these men needed to be dealt with. As protector of Kirigakure, he felt it was his duty to take on these men himself. He was confident but not foolish however as he had enlisted the help of one of Kirigakure's best hunter nin as opposed to going alone.

The door to the Kage mansion opened and the orange glow of dusk hit his violet eyes. The natural blue tint Kirigakure often held due to the mist was now shaped orange as that same mist absorbed the brilliant orange glow. It was quite a sight to be had.

He headed off to a local outdoor bar, quickly ordering a drink and downing it. Not enough to get him drunk but enough to get his nerves going. As he set the glass back down on the bar, he turned and leaned against a support beam, his eyes scanning back and forth for any signs of Haruka. His left hand fiddled with the mask he had brought along for the occasion.

Haruka resented the fact that she had asked to meet the Mizukage at the bar. As she sat in the corner of the dimly lit building, she sipped on her second glass of wine, wishing it was something stronger. It wasn't that she was nervous; men in power rarely made her nervous, as she never had trouble with them. No, Haruka wanted to be drunk so she could stop noticing the men at the table to her right leering at her. At this point, it was almost too much, and she deeply considered kicking their table over and running them out of the bar... Or maybe poisoning one of their drinks and convincing the rest she saw one of them do it, then watching the chaos ensue.

Just as that thought started to look really pleasant, Satoshi walked into the bar and up to the counter. Haruka made no move to stand, instead choosing to observe him as he glanced around the bar looking for her. He was tall and muscular, but she couldn't help but notice that he looked almost a bit 'broody'. Even standing in a bar drinking, he looked like he might be the most serious man in the universe. Haruka's lip twitched in a smile and she shook her head slowly, downing the rest of her wine. She set the glass on the table and stood quietly, making her way across the bar to meet the Mizukage.

She'd met him before, of course, hunting with her group and at her initial initiation into the hunter-nin, but never one-on-one like this. He didn't appear to be the type to laugh much... Haruka made a mental note to try and remedy this.

"Mizukage-sama." She said as she approached, loudly enough to for him to hear her over the dull roar of the bar. " Haruka Takumi. It's my pleasure to meet you." She extended her hand to him, palm up to show a tattoo of a bright blue eye.

He wasn't left to wonder long. From his right, a female voice pierced the lull of the bar. "Mizukage-sama." His head turned immediately and their eyes met. Though he hadn't seen her much, he recognized her from the few occasions he had met with the other hunter nin. Not bad looking if he had to say so, but now wasn't the time. There was hardly ever time for something like that.

"And to you as well." He responded with a soft and kind smile, shaking her hand. "I've read your file a few times. You've impressed me. Lots of talent has been showing up in Kirigakure lately." His mind wandered briefly to Tadashi. "Come, have a seat." He insisted, ushering the two of them to a table far in the corner.

As they sat, he produced a manila folder from under his cloak which he placed on the table between them and opened. Inside sat a map of the Water Country and the individual profiles of four shinobi. "These are our targets." His hands spread out the four profiles so that all information was visible. "Two ninjutsu specialists, a Taijutsu user, and..." One profile in particular was pulled from the bunch and tossed directly in front of Haruka "A sealing expert. He's the reason I asked for you specifically. I know it's a bit of a cliche but he was honestly one of our best."

"Now, I think they may be hiding out here..." His finger landed on a small island off the south of the Water Country. "They were last spotted in a village just north of here heading towards this island. It's small but the forest is thick. They could be hiding in there and I'm sure their hideout is well protected. Do you think you're up to this?" His eyes shifted up to read her expression.

A smile crept across Haruka's face as the Mizukage admitted to reading over her profile several times, acknowledging her as impressive. "You've been reading up on me?" She said, her voice light and flirty. "Sounds like you might need a new hobby, Mizukage-sama."

Haruka followed Satoshi to the table, sitting across from him and gazing over the profiles of their targets nonchalantly until he presented one with a familiar name. A young man, specializing in Fuuinjutsu -- there was no coincidence why she was chosen for this task, even if the Mizukage had no way of knowing there was a connection. Haruka had grown up with Takeda, even shared similar dreams, but now his portfolio sat in front of her as her next assassination target...

And she felt joy. It was very rare she had a hand in the death of the people she knew, and there was something she found beautiful about handing death to someone you once cared for. It was almost artistic.

"Yeah... Yeah, I'll definitely do this. After all, you'll need me." Haruka looked back up to the Mizukage, tapping on the picture of Takeda with a finger. "Because I know how he thinks. With all due respect, you'd probably be walking into a trap if you brought anyone else along. Smart pick, Mizukage-sama." Another grin broke across her face as she looked into his eyes, then back down to the other profiles, skimming lightly through them. "These three will be no problem. None of them have any background in Genjutsu, I'll be able to disarm them, and you should have no problem taking them down from there while I deal with Takeda."

Haruka pushed herself away from the table, standing and stretching before Satoshi. "So, ready to go? I've got an idea of how we can catch them off guard, but we should leave soon if we want it to work."

The fact that Haruka knew Takeda on a personal level was a bit of a surprise to Satoshi but it was welcome. After all it only further gave them the advantage. These rebels stood no chance. In fact, their only chance was to remain hidden but with Satoshi's sensory abilities and Haruka's fuuinjutsu knowledge, even that chance was slim.

"Of course." He responded, standing after her. "We've wasted too much time as it is." He turned quickly and exited the bar. As the two stepped beyond the bounds of Kirigakure's gates, Satoshi donned the mask he had brought along. "If you know the target then you lead. This could be quite the opportunity for you." His tone hinted that he would be watching her every move on this mission.

Haruka looked to Satoshi as he slipped on his mask, her eyes darkening as a small smile traced her lips. "Of course, Mizukage-sama." After giving him a coy look, she turned towards the north, running at a quick pace. With the distance between the village and where their hideout was estimated to be, it would be dark before they reached the targets.

Once they were within 100 yards of the area, Haruka stopped, signaling for the Mizukage to do the same. She turned to face him, rolling her shoulders and neck as if she was working out a few knots.

"They should be just ahead," she said quietly, motioning with a jerk of her head towards a grove of trees surrounding a lake. "Knowing Takeda, he's probably the leader of this group, and he would have picked an area close to that clearing there, filled it with seals set to alert him of activity, and then ambushed whoever was stupid enough to set them off. We'll need to proceed carefully and disarm as many of the seals as we can. After that, I plan to approach them in the camp and get them distracted. While I do that, I'll need you to come around from behind and take down as many of them as you can as quickly as you can."

"And don't worry about him recognizing me. You're not the only one who brought a mask." Haruka's eyes gleamed as she looked at Satoshi, and instantly she would have appeared as a completely different person: a young, blonde girl who looked like she could have easily been from the local fishing village. She was shorter, slimmer, and looked terrified. "This will work on Takeda. I know what he likes. Any questions?"

As they neared their destination, the hunter-nin took control of the situation. She assessed the situation and relayed it and a plan to Satoshi without hesitation. Clearly his position didn't bother her. That or she worked well under stress. Either way, it made her look good.

His hands formed a single seal and thunder boomed overhead instantly, rain downpouring within only a few seconds. His eyes changed to the crimson form of the sharingan, his contacts hiding this fact from view. Instantly several small chakra sources filled his field of vision. "I can already see several seals around the area and there's an area that's blocking my senses over there." He indicated towards the direction Haruka had estimated the hideout to be.

"Can you unseal any of these traps or am I just going to have to be super cautious?"

Haruka grinned at the Mizukage, slipping a small vial out of her pocket and into Satoshi's hand. "Put two drops of this on the seal. This is what we use to remove the temporary tattoo seals at the shop; it'll work on almost any of the seals Takeda has put up. Anything but the big one..." Her gaze shifted to the hide out, where Satoshi had indicated something was blocking his ability to see. "He's definitely set up a large alarm system directly underneath the base. I'd better go ring the doorbell."

Haruka turned back to Satoshi, flashing him a smile as she stepped out from underneath the cover of the tree and into the rain. "Great idea, Mizukage-sama!" She said over the rain. "Get me all wet, why don't you..." With that, she turned on her heel and approached the hide out, preparing her best acting skills.

The Takumi clan really were the sealing geniuses they were revered as. Never had he heard of a physical object that could remove seals yet here he was holding such a thing in his hands. It was a marvel and, once again, he was thankful to have someone such as her along on this mission. He gave a bit of a laugh at her semi-flirtatious joke at her departure. If he didn't know any better, he'd guess she were hitting on him.

He too turned to leave, heading in the opposite direction. With great speed, he circled the hideout and ended on the opposite side. His eyes watched intently, waiting for the signal. His hand reached up to the hilt of Eminent Calamity as he stared down from the tree which he was perched in. Though he wasn't a man who particularly enjoyed violence, it felt good to be out on the front lines like this again.

Haruka focused momentarily before approaching the hide out, making sure to perfect her look. She needed to look like she had been running for her life - mud splashes on her knees, hands, and face, her hair messy and wet with rain, her eyes full of tears, maybe a split lip as if she had been hit. What else... Ah! Haruka focused on the genjutsu her tattoo was emitting, making sure that her shirt would appear to be torn open. 'Perfect.'

With that, she began to run; not like a shinobi, but like a scared young girl, clumsily letting herself trip over rocks and tree roots as she screamed at the top of her lungs. "Help me! Please, someone!" She busted through the clearing, standing to look around as though it were new territory, and her eyes crossed over a small crevice between two rocks where a fire was lit. The moment she moved towards it, however, someone grabbed her from behind and shoved a kunai against her neck.

She knew this would happen; in fact, she'd heard the man fall from the tree behind her, heard him even when he pulled the kunai from his belt. Nevertheless, she had to play the part: Haruka screamed, squirming against the man as if she were trying to get away from the kunai. "Please, no! I-I, I didn't do anything, please, HELP ME!" She sobbed, tears streaming down her face.

"Shut up, girl, hold still!" His gruff voice demanded, but as soon as she froze, the other three appeared. One exceedingly muscular, even for a shinobi, that she assumed was the specialist in Taijutsu, the other a very average looking older man, and the third was Takeda himself, who looked almost as distressed as she did.

"Hiroshi! What are you doing?! She's just a girl!" He snapped, rushing to them. "Put your damn weapon away. What are you afraid of?"

'Perfect.' He'd fallen for it exactly as she expected. As soon as the kunai was away from her neck, Haruka collapsed, then rushed to Takeda's arms without hesitation. "Please, you've got to help me... These men... M-my father...." She looked up into his eyes and knew he was hooked.

"Slow down, sweetie... What's going on?" Even as a deserter from the village, Takeda still had such a soft spot for women. Haruka remembered joking it would be the death of him one day, and here they were.

Regaining her composure, Haruka sniffled and gasped, then went on. "There were men... They came to my father's house, i-in the village north of here... Please, they... they tried to hurt me... and my father, I don't know if he's... if he's alive..." Tears poured from her eyes again, and Takeda took her in his arms, rocking her comfortingly as he looked to the rest of the group for some reassurance. Haruka continued making sobbing noises, her eyes scanning the trees to look for Satoshi's form so he knew that now would be the time.
