The punch to his midsection knocked the wind out of Eruv causing him to stumble and almost fall. The people around him murmered amongst themselves as the fight continued. Eruv's opponent was a man of the same age but, not as strongly built as Eruv and it showed even more so when he moved. The man almost began to gloat over his hit on Eruv but, being trained in Kiri, he knew better. Eruv recovered quickly and positioned himself once again to fight his opponent, knowing that he wasn't about to go down so easily. The fight hadn't been going on long but, both men knew it was time to put the other man down.

The opponent threw a punch that Eruv dodged easily by moving to the right and countered by using his momentum to kick the man in the chest. This attack brought the man off balance and Eruv took the opportunity to launch a uppercut to the man's jaw. It was a solid blow and the man fell. A man stepped in putting his hands in between Eruv and his opponent. The crowd began to dissipate, the fight was over. Eruv put a hand on his ribs as he began to walk away from the crowd and the man whom had picked a fight in a place that was a little to crowded for Eruv's liking.

He knew he would hear the questions from his mom and teachers again... asking why he was still fighting. They had told him time and again that he couldn't go around fighting people but, somehow he always found a reason to fight. It put his teachers in a hard place since they still needed to find him a team but, no one wanted to work with him since he tended to fight with whoever he was teamed with. He found himself once again wondering why ,on his birthday of all days, that he had to run into someone wanting to pick a fight with him.

The Village Hidden in the Mist had been named so for a reason as anyone would know. The mist covering the village was thick today as it was on occasion. Inside it lurked a presence unbeknownst to anyone. Yet though no one knew the presence was there, they all knew of its existence. Or rather his existence.

Watching over an entire village was difficult work. Not only did his duties require doing such in a literal sense but loads of paperwork came with the job. From time to time, he looked for a way to both fulfill what he takes on as his primary duty - literally watching over the village - and to escape the dreaded paperwork. Today was one such day and, in his usual fashion, his legendary abilities to meld with mist were secretly put on display.

He watched over the whole village, feeling and seeing everything going on within. People went on about their lives; adults working, kids training or playing, but something else caught his attention. A crowd began to form rapidly near one backstreet. His attention was pulled that way as a fight between two late teens fought within the epicenter of this crowd. They exchanged some good blows but finally one prevailed. It was a boy Satoshi had been informed of often as his constant fighting had caused him to be held back into the ranks of the Genin for quite a few years. He displayed quite a talent back there. A shame it was so wasted.

As Eruv would turn the corner of a street, he would see the Mizukage sitting on a bench - or not depending on how observant he was. Either way, it was Satoshi's intention to approach the young man, and so he did. He weaved through the usual street traffic with ease and came to Eruv's side, a soft but stern expression on his face. "Quite a show you put on back there." His tone showed no amusement.

The voice from his side quickly startled Eruv but, since he had been trained to do so, he didn't so much as show his surprise. He turned easily as if it was a much practiced movement and faced the man who had spoke to him. Once again he found himself startled. In front of him stood the Mizukage whom, from what Eruv could see, didn't seem pleased with him. Eruv quickly bowed before the great man awnsered him in full. "My lord Mizukage, I apologize if that had disturbed you. I did not realize you were in the area..." Eruv tensed up a bit since he wasn't sure how the Mizukage might react to how he kept fighting.
