Today on NIGGER, we report about an upcoming skirmish with the newly discovered empire, "The Radiant". Just as our expeditionary fleet 3ND Vanguard entered hyperdrive, the sensors from the nearby shipyard "Winterfel" picked up an incoming "Radiant" fleet which had set course for the same star system, Dschubba! This Radiant fleet is expected to capture the planet, fortify it, and massacre our brave fleet upon exiting hyperdrive. No calls from the Third Native Directorate fleet command will be able to reach the men of the Vanguard in time, and we can only watch their fate unfold from the sensors of shipyard Winterfel. The 3ND has attempted to hail "The Radiant" but do not expect a quick enough response to avoid this tragedy. The families on Bernkastel of the men in fleet Vanguard pray for their survival and plead mercy for their lives this day. In other news, a new supercarrier was constructed today from Bernkastel, taking it's a sizable force towards shipyard Winterfel. The supercarrier was named Vanguard II, following the news of the expected demise of that expeditionary crew. This new fleet seems more equipped for combat than exploration than it's predecessor. =Dschubba is a rich star system full of natural resources to exploit and will surely be a point of great contest between our empire and this "The Radiant" empire. More in depth report about possible investment opportunity on the next page. Perhaps YOU can be on the next colony ship to Dschubba!= Edited by Native, Aug 21 2014, 10:10 AM.

In other news, more riots on the homeword Bernkastel, with a second city going up in flames and violence today. This riot is also protesting last year's ban on Psychedelic Spices by the 3ND. The 3ND still holds that Psychedelic Spices reduce overall productivity and happiness for Natives and provides very, very few benefits to society. These riots rage on in the absence of the planet's 3ND space garrison and seem to be have mixed in part with outrage at the predicted demise of the 3ND fleet "Vanguard". In the meantime, we suggest the people on Bernkastel to avoid "Psych-Spice" and to invest in a new BestInvest Model IV Blaster Rifle for property defense. The time it takes for the thinly spread 3ND Tax Protection (equivalent to "police" for other civilizations) to arrive at the scene of an attack is not currently fast enough to prevent bleeding out from a typical blaster wound. |

Tears of joy are shed as the 3ND Vanguard returns home, almost completely intact! The Radiant fleet abandoned the sector as they arrived through either a stroke of luck or a diplomatic victory for the 3ND. Regardless, our ships have returned home, and colonizing efforts for Dschubba have been placed on hold by order of the directorate. On Bernkastel, riots have been quelled with a general atmosphere of heartfelt thanks to the Radiant. Following the first transmissions coming through from the Radiant giving us a clear picture of what they look and sound like, it seems these previously violent emotions have turned to creativity as stocks for various major art, media and movie industries skyrocket; It is clear that they seek to make the most of this dramatic first encounter with the Radiant. Our best advisors suggest a connection between the people angry about the ban on Psychedelic Spices and those involved in the arts. There are even calls for construction of Radiant-style religious centers, but these have so far been ignored by the 3ND industrial force. It is expected that other more minor Native factions will capitalize on these calls to construction. In other Radiant-news, the supercarrier Vanguard II has been renamed by choice of crew to "Radiant" in memory of this event. |

As Native space expands, so has the support for 3ND's governance! Starting from 20% of the Native population during the first Native Directorate, the Third Native Directorate has today reached an incredible 50% of the Native population in support! Bigger fleets, more pilots, vast access to natural resources and research worthy environments... The future is looking very, very bright for the Native people and it seems that they are crediting the 3ND! A set of twin super-shipyards, an academy planet and a new trade hub has been established on the frontier! With two new connecting warpgates being planned, Native space will be tied closely to these new establishments. Civilian trade vessels are now free to apply for shipping licenses between the BI Trade Stations Circuit and Fortuna. There has been some rumor of a plan to move the Empire's capital away from Bernkastel and towards the center of the sprawling space empire, but the 3ND has staunchly denied such claims. |

The Third Native Directorate and Jager Bravo Corporation's The Interstellar Craftsmen Union, Local 308, have had tremendously successful relations these past few years. In today's special edition NIGGER, we look back on how our empires met and the many helpful warnings, advice, and technological trades this empire has brought to us. It would be safe to say that these amiable people are an irreplaceable piece of the puzzle when understanding how the Native empire has become so robust! Best Investments takes crucial credit regarding importing the culturally important Marauder Moe series to Native space... ... ... |

Under the suggestion of the Jager Bravo Corperation's Local 308, the Third Native Directorate has begun sharing it's cartographic and defensive intelligence with the Local 308! This move was met with equal amounts of enthusiasm and skepticism by Native factions, some believing this to be a great move cementing the good relations with Native's closest partner while others believing this to be a move jeopardizing the defenses of Native Space by leaking critical information to an outsider. There have been a few major Anti-308 movements on planets such as Penal Colony XYZ and Trade Station CIRCUIT following this announcement. A Marauder Moe store was also sacked and vandalized on Bernkastel. Analysts believe these actions to be organized by the various mining and manufacturing factions within the Native empire that dislike what the Local 308 stand for. Sure enough, major debtor-slave owners in Best Investment has publicly debated against the move to make ties with the Local 308. For now, the Third Native Directorate has decided to tactfully ignore the dissidents but claims that should any Native unlawfully attack a member of the Local 308 in such a demonstration, there will be the harshest of punishments dealt. Also, the status of visitors from the Jager Bravo are to temporarily have the status of a protected, tax-paying Native citizen. This, by itself, has caused quite the upset in Native factions worried about 308 invasion of investment, jobs, and land, but so far, there seems to have been no clashes regarding this topic. |

Theft within the Empire! Today marks the end date of this year's plan to construct warpgates across the Empire; Three new warpgates were to be unveiled for use for military, personal, and trade ships to pass through. However, none of the warpgates have been finished, being indefinitely stalled by a crippling lack of materials and funding. After interviewing the 3ND commissions in charge of these warpgates, it is clear that the materials and funding has been sent to the warpgate construction sites and factions. These same factions contracted to construct the warpgates claim that they have never received these funds. A full investigation is under way. In other news, the increase in raw materials and investment funds available to new proprietary factions has seen a drastic increase in new factories and shipyards along major 3ND fleet routes through the empire. These factories are not owned by the 3ND and are instead selling(?) fitted ships to passing fleets for their own profit. This new increase in proprietary shipbuilding seems to be a direct challenge to the 3ND's strength in these sectors. There has been a marked increase in space piracy in these sectors as these new top-of-the-line ships inevitably enter the wrong hands under the highest bid. The 3ND claims to plan to double its anti-piracy fleets and has implemented new policies to keep track of foreign travelers in Native Empire space. At this time, they claim that the additional escorts and certification that the foreigners will be required to have is purely for their own protection at this time. Automaton Reprogrammed! Following the complete defeat of the Automaton by Jager Bravo and 3ND fleets, the scientists at Native Grand Sciences have been working on a way to profit from the Automaton's impressive intelligence. Just today, the NGS announced the completion of a fully automated supercarrier set to ferry new 3ND ships from various star systems to more centralized warpgate systems. With a fleet of these automated carriers, the 3ND fleets will only have to pass through warpgate-accessible systems in order to access all of its nearby forces! Having finally cracked the Automaton's code, the NGS also announce that their newest experiments have unlocked vast potential in Weapons and Hyperspace technology. However, strange enough, these new weapons and engine technologies have already been seen fitted to ships coming from independently owned shipyards around the empire, even before the technology was announced to have been discovered by the NGS... Our top analysts at NIGGER give their explanations on page 10! Edited by Native, Sep 2 2014, 10:29 AM.

Progressive Discovered on Kita! Possible coup?! The previously automaton controlled system of Kita was recently renamed "Progressive Homeworld Kita" in the fashion of "3ND Homeworld Bernkastel" by it's citizens, almost wholly supporting the previously unknown Native faction of the Progressive. The Progressive are in support for a "Greater Native Empire" that expands it's borders well past it's currently self-imposed limitations and seems to have gotten strength from many different Native factions dissatisfied with the current 3ND's political stance with it's neighbors. Just a few articles ago, the NIGGER reported on various anti-Jager Bravo and even some anti-Radiant groups; these are the kinds of groups that are now supporting this "Progressive" Native faction. The 3ND have made apparent that the "Progressive" were behind the funding of the new 3ND-independent shipyards as well as the disappearance of the warpgate funds and resources a few NIGGER's ago. In addition, the 3ND are suspecting ties between the "Progressive" and the Native Grand Sciences; as the leaked Automaton technology unveiled last NIGGER has been fitted to ships constructed by Progressive shipyards. The Twin Shipyards Alpha and Omega have both claimed allegiance to the Progressve! Though there has been no clashes with 3ND fleets in the area, as the two factions are not necessarily at war, we expect the 3ND to react very harshly to this change in ownership. At this time, the 3ND has not released any public statement on this brazen appearance of the Progressive, even as the Progressive are beginning to appear all over the empire! Is this a coup in motion? What are the 3ND thinking?! Listen to our analysts on page 20! |

Native empire at a deadlock! With the 3ND having decided to denounce the Progressive and attempt to sluggishly regain control of it's shipyards and infrastructure, fighting has broken out all throughout Native space! Though the main 3ND fleets have been immobilized at their stations, local garrisons supporting one faction or the other have begun open hostilities from system to system! With the Jager Bravo willing to recognize the Progressive, it seems that the 3ND are having trouble mustering the fleets and forces to quash the Progressive. However, if the current state of this conflict continues, it seems to only be a matter of time before the 3ND garrisons are able to defeat the much smaller Progressive forces. (ooc: Because the Progressive have only marginal intergalactic support, the 3ND are slowly regaining control of Native space. Should the 3ND win, investigations will be had regarding which empires backed the Progressive and retaliation will occur. Should the Progressive win, empires which did not back the Progressive will be looked at poorly instead.) |
