HOUSES AND TEAMS SYSTEM
House System
In both House Summers and House Pryde there are four ranks for students to achieve, which are:

• Junior: the starting rank for all students, these are usually mutants who have just realised their power and as a result have only just been collected by the X-Men to be part of the New Xavier School.

• Senior: having spent more time at NXS, these students have grown a further understanding of what they are and what they can do. They are exactly what their title says, the senior students that have attained more experience through their time at NXS.

• X-Candidate: a harder rank to achieve, this rank belongs to those that have proved themselves time and time again to the X-Men and have been chosen to be, as the name hints, candidates for future X-Men.

• X-Man: the hardest rank to achieve, this is a position that all staff members have. Being on a team does not make you an X-Man, it is a rank personally given to you by Cyclops himself after he believes you have earnt it during your time as an X-Candidate. You are the new face of the New Xavier School and are expected to uphold its beliefs as well as lead the next generation just as your teachers did with you.

This system of working through the ranks is based solely on your activity. Your presence in classes, Danger Room sessions, as well as any other activities in general will be the deciding factor for the staff when choosing who will rank up.

To further increase the standard of casual roleplay there will also be encouraged rivalry between both Houses. This rivalry will set the stage for a number of competitions to take place within the New Xavier School as a chance for people of their respective Houses to prove themselves better than their rivalries. More information on these competitions will be available soon, but they will include things such as a School Olympiad.

Team System
By giving a structure within each House we are able to provide not only more depth to the Houses themselves, but also provide an incentive for ranking up in the first place by changing the structure of teams as well as how they work.

Instead of before where leaders used to select six candidates from a trial in order to form a team, the new system of teams will be that a team leader will select eleven candidates. Within each team will be the actual team, composed of five members, and then six reserves that essentially make up a "B Team" so to speak. Upon selecting eleven candidates, no one will be given a fixed position on the main team. Instead, on the day of a mission the team leader will select five of their eleven members to make up the main team for this mission, usually these five will be the highest ranking members. For example, if there are five Seniors and six Juniors, the team leader is more likely to select the five Seniors to place on his team over the six Juniors, because from an IC perspective they will be more experienced and prepared for what they'll be facing. From an OOC perspective, this system is to ensure that not only is there a non-biased rotation scheme within the teams for who gets picked on mission day, but it also provides an incentive for people to be more active within the roleplay, since in order to be ranked up you are required to be active throughout the roleplay in the first place.

Ultimately, this places more focus on activity within the roleplay, rewarding those that are active with spots on teams and more chances to be present at missions.

Updates to this may occur at a later date.
