In opinon, Pendragon is somewhat decent...

Growing up I liked JK Rowling and Brian Jacques bunches.

Now I just find myself reading Michael Crighton and I just finished "The Shining" by Stephen King. That book is nuts!

Edit: Hate. Crichton. HATE. His books aren't much more than shoddy packages for his beliefs. If he's going to write allegorical novels, he'd better do it right and not have HUGE GAPING PLOTHOLES. Same goes for Dan Brown; that man needs to get his fucking facts straight. Novus Ordo Seclorum means New Order of the Ages, not New Secular Order.

er, they're taking creative liberties?

out of Crichton's books, I absolutly loved Prey. Sphere was a bit too...out there. Congo was anticlimactic, and State of Fear was un-memorable. I do like Timeline, though. the other books of his I have are Eaters of the Dead, Andromeda Strain, the Terminal Man, and the Great Train Robbery, which were all pretty good.

I've read Dan Brown's Davini Code (obviously), Angels and Demons (which I thought was better), and Digital Fortress.

Woah now, such hate on Crighton.

I agree about Dan Brown though.

Another problem I saw was with Angels and Demons and The Da Vinci Code was that they sorta followed the same formula a bit.

I gotta go into my collection and see my past favorites.

Vonnegut, Orwell, Wells, and Alexandre Dumas win. Verne, Tolkien, and Rowling are good as well.
