Hi, Link3000 here. I was recently mailed about this team to fill the role of programmer. I have seen the engine and this game needs a MAJOR overhaul. I'm estimating 20 mb of the 30 mb package can be thrown out..? Well, yeah, I'm Link; the resident programmer. |

Eh.. the sprites and background music are amazing, but the coding is pissing me off. I finished a basic platform AI that can navigate through an environment, and in the process made a snazzy movement engine using some modified ideas from my 3d game engine I made a while ago, and I'm working on making a good particle system right now. The different .gmk files are all compatible, so once I finish the particles and some room-changing, I'll compile them all into 1 big tech demo.

You don't seem very explanatory. In any case, I was the one who did the programming. I worked very hard to get the engine to where it is now. Please don't insult my work without giving at least some explanation as to why it pisses you off.
That's mainly because a lot of stuff was put in that wasn't needed, or reduced in size, etc. Also, the main reason as to why I've been using GM6.1 is simply because it's easier to work with and faster. Btw, raph, still no go for me, but maybe I'll soon be able to do some more work. Not promising anything though... ![]() Edit: I will try to post some more when I can...
