Traits System; Learn about how Traits work

Traits are special abilities that your character passively has at all times to make them unique to each other. As such every character can begin with two traits of their choice from the list. Once selected you can not change the traits you have chosen once your character is accepted.

Marksman: +5 damage with all guns, +5% accuracy with firearms
You are a genius when it comes to firearms, naturally gifted with good aiming and a steady gun hand. You know all about shooting techniques.

Powerful: +5 damage with all melee weapons, +10% to stun with melee weapons
You naturally possess a great amount of physical strength and can deal a great amount of pain with your bare hands. Even more so with a solid, firm melee weapon in between them.

Scavenger: Increases chances of finding ammo during searches and exploring.
You have a knack for finding disposed but usable rounds in every nook and cranny. Whether it's a skill or luck is rather irrelevant but questionable.

Medic: Increases healing effects from healing items by +10. Can heal self and others for 50% of item's healing potency. Can also heal other players directly without them using AP.
As a naturally gifted healer you seem to be able to make the best out of healing items and are willing to share your healing items with others.

Pack Rat: Increases max inventory amount from 6 to 9.
You don't mind walking around with a overloaded pack over your shoulder and you can't leave any of your precious items behind.

Battle Hardened: Reduces all incoming damage by 5. Reduces chance of Bleeding status.
You know how to take a punch, since you have taken many along with alot of other painful endeavors. You have a great tolerance to pain and ignore bleeding wounds.

Lock Picker: You are able to use a lock pick to unlock doors and cabinets.
Somehow during your life you've managed to make excellent of lock picks and breaking into things. During the outbreak stealing is the last of your worries.

Agile: Improves your chances of dodging passively.
You are naturally a very agile person with quick reflexes. As such you are able to dodge most incoming attacks easily as long as you keep a sharp mind.

Demolition Lover: Improves damage with all explosives by 50%.
You love explosions and everything that goes boom. The sight of watching flames and smoke billowing from ruins is like love to you. Whenever you get your hands on something that explodes you make sure you make the best of it.

Slight of Hand: Reduces AP cost of reloading guns by 1.
Through dexterous movement you are able to reload your weapons faster than average. This has proven to be useful at times of high pressure.

Well-Endowed: Increases Max HP by 20 points.
You are very healthy and at your physical peak. Though not necessarily more resistant to pain you have more blood to lose before you finally collapse.

Energetic: Increases Max AP by 2 points.
You overflow with constant energy and don't tire easily. As such you can spend a lot more time in action and less recovering.

Will of Steel: Reduces damage taken by 50% when in Danger or Bleeding.
Almost like a zombie you absolutely refuse to die until you've been decapitated. Whenever you're in a critical state your mind resolves itself and tells your body to keep going. Never say die!

Hawkeye: Increases chances to hit with weapons by +10%.
Your eyes seem to have the ability to magnify things when you're under intense focus and allows you to take better aim before shooting.

Savage: When using a 3 attack combo do another attack for half the damage with melee.
Once you get pumped in combat you can't stop and keep flailing away in blinded fury.

Skullbasher: When attacking with melee weapons you have a 10% chance to kill instantly.
You swing your weapons with such intensity that if you were to hit the enemy's head just at the right spot their skull would shatter. (DOESN'T WORK ON PLAYERS OR BOSSES.)

Knife Master: Deal +5 damage with knives. Increase dodge chances when using a knife.
You are a keen user of the knife, pouring your heart and soul into it as your ultimate survival weapon. You know where to stab just the right vital areas and use the almost weightless to its full potential so that you can avoid incoming attacks.

Immunity: Gets rid of chances of being Infected.
You possess a natural immunity to the virus that prevents you from becoming one of the infected. You'll never have to worry about Anti-Virus or serious encounters as much.

Craft: Adds "Craft" AP option. Uses 10 AP. Makes weapons and items.
You are a very resourceful person who is able to make new weapons and gadgets out of everyday items to aid in your fight against the undead.

Team Player: When you're around other survivors you all gain +5 damage to all weapons.
Whenever you are in a group you bring a certain presence that motivates everybody around you to do their best. You're always cheering them on along with yourself to strive to do better.

CQC Expert: Allows the action "Kick" (7 AP) and use fists as a weapon.
You have been given extreme training that allows you to use your own body as a weapon under extreme circumstances. You can defend yourself against the undead bare handed and can dish out a powerful kick to keep enemies at bay. Kicking deals 25 damage to a zombie and has a chance to stun them.
