its worth that just in scrap metal, which is probably exactly what they'll do with it. you could buy shit dead cars all day long and just take them and bust them up and make a nice pile of cash. |

must be getting APUs from AMD. never woulda thought we'd start seeing consoles turn into PCs, strange days for sure! I guess all the devs can just start to focus on PC games and we won't get crappy ports anymore!

lol yeah...might as well make it a PC...whatever tho. Ill buy one when the prices come down. No way im spending 500 on an Xbox. I bought my 360 because i couldnt buy a gaming computer for that much....If they want me to spend 500 on the system, and then another 200ish for extras, ill just build a PC. fuck you consol, youve overstayed your welcome here. |

Had my camera set on a timer for some time lapse photos of a storm coming in...niece thought it would be a good idea to pop in front and do this. I found it buried in about 100 other pictures....sadly it was the best one I took all day.

If you watch the Xbox reveal, they're trying to turn it into a Blu-ray player, cable box/DVR, Skype communication device, gaming console, and all that. It also comes with kinect. I think that's the reason for the high price. I wasn't quite blown away with the reveal, but I don't think they let everything out of the bag yet. Sony will be revealing their new console at e3 in two weeks. I'm a little skeptical of cloud gaming though. Edited by ilivas, May 22 2013, 01:27 AM.

I don't know much about the cloud gaming, but I don't really like how it sounds. Does that mean you'll buy a game and have it stored online without a hardcopy? Would that prevent you from reselling games or letting your friends borrow them and stuff like that? |

thats exactly how steam does it, if they don't have killer deals like steam and stick you with full price only that would blow. But if its "cloud gaming" any other way then that its going to super blow, onlive and the likes didn't eat a face full for no reason. but it does seem console makers wanna drop the hammer on gamestop places. i just hope they don't fisher price it... its finally a real computer, running a real computer OS, so give it some damn freedom and let it do whatever we want with it.. unlike the xbox that could just do "some stuff" there isn't any reason to hide real windows from us and let us install stuff and do whatever we want. otherwise its just better to get a real PC and just go the steam big picture mode route. I'd rather have a physical copy as well. I like to trade in or sell my games also. I think what they'd an by cloud gaming is that the processing power will be on the server end and they will stream games to the console. They're saying that the speed will be unlimited because they can just keep upgrading the servers vs. needing more console processing power. |

It's probably not going to be as customizable as a PC especially of they're going for integrated cable tv/ DVR, Blu-ray, gaming/ all in one entertainment hub. They're going to want it to be streamlined, simple, easy to operate and smooth. The more freedom they give the end user, the more problems it could introduce. I'm mostly interested in how it handles broadcast and cable tv. It looked seamless in te demo. I read the new kinect worked really well. Way better than the old one. The fantasy football/basketball thing looked cool too. |

Yeah, that's why everyone is skeptical. On top of that 30% of gamers don't play online. |
