I'm paying $170 a month for dogshit insurance that has no Co-pay. I pay 100% of everything until like $4500 and it's been that way for years and years...and the last time I went to the doctor was 2003. Obamacare.....not obamacare.....how bout Idontgiveafuckanymorecare. Healthcare prices have been rising dramatically long before Obezzy took office. I figure I can barely afford anything now, might as well see what obamacare does.

I don't really agree with free healthcare, but i do like the fact that people wont be able to get denied coverage due to prior health. My uncle was retired with a nice nest egg he created for himself over a lifetime of careful spending and great money management. Then his insurance company dropped him due to a chronic eye disease and nobody would insure him. So no a man that worked his ass off his entire life, saving responsibly, doing EVERYTHING right is now broke and filing for bankruptcy over an eye condition he had absolutely no control over. All because insurance companies were able to refuse him coverage and he had to pay for the operations out of his own pocket. Say what you want about Obamacare, it's not perfect, and I don't agree with a lot of it. But we have Obamacare right now because we were forced by the healthcare industry to do something. Obamacare didnt come about because everything was perfect and fair....Obamacare is in place right now because of irresponsibility and greed of the healthcare industry.

Get ready for the ass raping we're about to receive. Healthcare has increased... However it's never been like this before. This socialist crap is really going to kill the middle class.

Insurance companies denying certain claims is one of the factors that keeps prices in reach of people that otherwise couldn't afford it. If insurance was never denied, insurance companies would have to get the money to pay for it from somewhere....and guess where that's gonna come from?

Agreed, the 360 controller is by far my favorite controller of all time. The only thing that I like more on the PS3 is the resistance of the sticks. The sticks on the 360 controller are a little stiff for me, and I like the lesser resistance of the PS3 sticks more. I feel like it allows for more fluid movements. but the offset sticks and controller shape are great.
Go to game stop and get some used controllers. I trade mine in after they get loose and lose the resistance on them. I'd be you'd like them after they have been well worn. I like them to be stiff, it helps me be more precise.

It still left a couple questions unanswered for me.
Such as?

I'm wondering if Better Call Saul will be any good, not too many spin offs are successful. :ha

Great so something in the wife's 03 Grand Am engine has definitely let go. Not good. Waiting to hear on a price for the engine and labor from my cousin. I hate FWD cars, not sure if I feel like tackling the motor swap or not.

No funds for a used car though and I just spent $500 on tires, tie rod end and alignment on the damn thing last month.
I think the Saul thing looks dumb.

I'm wondering what happened between Gretchen and Walt? What made them buy out hs share of the company? It was very vague.

the thing is i don't see what the new health care law is going to fix or even do... it still looks like a shit sandwich. I like the part where they cant drop you or deny you but will they just find some other way to fuck you? like raise it so high you have no choice but to leave screaming.

I've been looking, its clear as mud, and what I can see doesn't look like this has done jack shit. I hope it does something.. i'll hit the exchanges tomm and see what it says.. but uhh.

but yea you are right...the way health care is now i guess we'd take anything over how it is now....cause now its run by the mob.

The main reason for the push for the ACA is because the healthcare industry is collapsing. My girlfriend has spent the last 3 years working with various healthcare law firms and I'm not going to sit here and pretend I can recall all of the details she has gone through, but in a nutshell the heathcare industry is failing. Overall, the entire finances of the industry are horrendously fucked up and it cant support itself anymore. It's not in immediate danger, so nobody gives a shit to talk about it because we're a culture of reactive thinkers rather than proactive. Left alone, the healthcare industry as it is in 10-15 years will be a lot different than it is now. The ACA is the first step in the rectifying the issues, but because the right and left of the government cant work together, they threw in a bunch of other shit that is fucking shit up even more.

So with Obamacare, and the new ACA, premiums could and most likely will go up, at least in the beginning until things get sorted out. Or we can stay the same, people will be denied coverage, premiums will continue to steadily rise, and the entire health care industry will inevitably fail due to lack of proper financing and you wont be able to get proper healthcare in the US no matter who you are.

It's one of the biggest cluster fucks we've seen in our lives. And whether your 100% for Obamacare, or 100% against it....you're wrong. There needs to be a middle ground and our government and citizens need to work together to figure it out, or else it's fucked either way. De funding Obamacare and scraping the whole movement will for sure bankrupt the entire healthcare system in our country. We need to weed out the glitches in the ACA and thats going to take the whole government to cooperate. But that wont happen because people are too fucking arrogant to admit that their POV might not be 100% correct.

well that makes a little more sense on why they are doing this. But yea its a catastrophe, and both sides of the coin are so at each others necks "work together" isn't even on the table... cutting of your nose to spite your face.

so the "exchange" seems to just a bunch of private companies that have agreed to provide whatever levels of cov for the same rate... (the same rate they charge everyone else BTW) so you apply...then you see if you qualify..which everyone should. then they let you shop what everyone is offering...then you pick..and off you go. the only discount you get is in the form of tax credits based on your income..that the gov pays directly to the insurance company to lower your prem.

and from what it looks like you get poo poo plan...poo plan...meh plan.. and PLATINUM SUPER DUPER which looks fine, but will probably cost out your ass. (and its automatically going to shove the poor on medicare, or whatever your state has.

ok what? you'd have it easier just shopping on your own like you do for car insurance. Will the still give you a tax credit if you buy on your own? or is that the whole point of the marketplace, knowing the gov the tax credit prob won't amount to anything meaningful. So maybe save your brain from having to jump thru a gov process and just buy it on your own. God im getting green card process flash backs the more i learn.

PS tommy 170 a month for what you have, with that deduct seems like a nice deal... KEEP IT.

yessssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss its starting to feel that way. Cause i talked to my other friends with priv ins and all of their plans will not renew next year.

using these calcs you get the same ass pound rate of 500+ a month, but then the gov somehow steps in and subsidizes 60% of your bill to bring your monthly payment down.
and you've got to stay within these income brackets they have set, and if you drop out of one, for god knows what reason like you lose your job or something, and you can't get on medicad they totally abandon your subs and start sending you the FULL BILL each month. Its like around every corner is a GOTCHYA!!!!!!!!

its almost playing out like the only place you'll be able to even get affordable care... is IN THE MARKET PLACE, or if you work for a large company, cause small biz they are even sucking into this as well.....waoohhh.....

Well... I think I'm getting about a 300% increase in insurance with a much increased put of pocket pay. From asking people, it seems to be around a 250%-800% increase. My 63 year old mom has to pay for maternity coverage. That makes a lot of sense. I'm loving this more and more. Don't worry though, illegals get free healthcare. If I need to go to the ER, I'm just gonna tell them I'm illegal.

Check your wives' insurance. Everyone has mandatory maternity coverage. I think her insurance will be about $5-600 a month.

I hate this, because I know a lot of people that own or work for small businesses and they're struggling as it is, pay their bills, and don't ask a dime of government aid, but with these increases, they won't be able to afford this shit at all.

Let the private sector handle the healthcare. I don't think we need more government intervention in this case.

We did let the private sector handle healthcare and they raped the system for everything it's worth, and now it's failing. Without the provisions of the ACA in place, the healthcare system will for sure fail before long. Healthcare providers, doctors, and hospitals are losing money fast. I hate government intervention as much as the next guy, but I don't see that we have a choice. Going down this path doesn't leave much hope for our entire healthcare system, and in 10-15 years it wont matter how much money you have. There are a lot of parts about Obamacare that I dislike, but take out all the bullshit about the free healthcare for shitheads and everything people are bashing about Obamacare blah blah blah, and there's still about 85% of the ACA left that will put in regulations to SAVE our health system from certain doom. But for some reason the news outlets completely ignore those most important parts because it doesnt get anybody riled up enough to cause drama/ratings.

well...from all my brain melting studying. this new gov plan is NOT for people working for themselves. If you can't plan next years income, don't even bother. Also working for yourself with tax write offs etc your NET might look like shit..so your taxable income won't fit cause what if you just broke even with no profit??????

Seems like this is for people with normal jobs, that do not have cov cause the employer dropped it or never had it.

BUTTTTTTTTT in order to see your rates you have to APPLY? why? i can shop private all day without providing more then basic info... so im getting reports of people coming back saying they applyed and their dect was fking 13,000 with a crap payment etc etc. then you opt out and they start sending you scare tactic emails saying YOU WILL HAVE A PENALTY OF X,XXX

so here is how it goes... APPLY -------------ok here you go don't like what you see hit the bricks------------but we know about you now, :wall

yea what is up with that shit... you MUST carry maternity?!?! um isn't that what your insurance company LETS YOU ADD AND REMOVE WHEN YOU WANT TO HAVE A KID? yea thats how it works in normal land.

so you can go out buy priv insurance, PAY but it doesn't meet this stupid ass gov standard and BOOOM PENALTY, this really makes a lot of fucking sense. :rage

unless you are breeding like an out of control monkey fk you won't need to cover maternity 1000000% of the time FOREVER.

so yea, tommy your bill is going up and you are going to have to start paying for mat even though you aren't going to have a kid.... and mat cov IS NOT CHEAP. 200+ a month extra....which is why you APPLY and REMOVE.

Yes, from what I read everyone has to carry maternity coverage even people that have absolutely no chance of having a baby like my 63 year old mother. Even women with hysterectomies (have had their uterus surgically removed for medical reasons) have to pay for it. I guess we gotta pay for all the free healthcare people that pop a billion babies out.

There is a difference between a little government intervention, and turning it into the entire healthcare industry into the obama machine. I'm not against a little government regulation to get things in order, but this is absolutely ridiculous. This act is about throwing more taxpayer money at a problem when what we should be doing is fixing the drain on healthcare instead. It was the same thing with the auto industry, and our economy in general. It's what Obama has been doing this entire time... Making the poor richer, and making the middle class poor.
