Yeah not at all. I don't take any pleasure in seeing people die like that, no matter how many horrible movies you're in, but if you're taking a Carerra GT on public roads fast enough to do that kind of damage, it's hard for me to feel bad for you.

^ talk about a stretch!!!

just cause the bot has a GPS location doesn't mean it won't run into power lines.... trees...etc, you'd have to have some kinda safe flight route planned for every house in the area. Then they'd have to be updated every so often. Seems like more trouble then its worth, would be smarter just to dispatch a courier or something.

Also what is to stop someone from shooting them down and collecting the packages? Just way to loose of an idea.

They're saying it's ready to roll out in 2015.

I don't know if anyone is going to shoot the drones down for packages.... you shoot the drone, and you shoot the package, so you've pretty much destroyed the contents of the package. Some people may shoot them down just for the hell of it though.

My dog would probably wreck that thing though. I also wonder where in your yard it's going to drop the package (will it know where my front door or drive way is?) , also will this work for apartments where it may be difficult for a drone to maneuver into.

Makes sense in highschool, but I don't think that strategy would ever work in the NFL.

I mean it could work in the NFL. How often would they train for such events? Even if one team did it and became notorious, how far out would you practice to prepare against just that one team?

It just won't work because it's not the same game. The first part where he talks about going for it and on the 5 yard line, and the other team having a 97% chance of scoring, or a 77% if they punt. Well that's assuming the dude is only kicking the ball 35-40 yards. Pro kickers would boot it 50-60 on average, which would put them a lot farther away. NFL defenses are also smarter/faster/better as well so it's not as easy to score on them.

Also, the whole onside kick thing is completely ridiculous. That would work once in a blue moon. The other teams would just get all their "hands" players out there and grab it before the other team could do anything. There would be about $35 million worth of world class athletes waiting for the ball. Not Joe "butter fingers" Magoo. Don't get me wrong, I'm all for going for it on 4th down, but only when it makes sense. This is just a nonsense strategy that only works because highschool teams are so terrible.

Actually now that I think about it, this strategy would most definitely work against the Chicago Bears this year...their defense is Fing worthless.
