I shouldn't of bought one... It's more than I wanted to pay for a car, but I don't feel bad about it at all. I love it. It's not as fast as I thought it was gonna be, but it's not bad. I love the car though, I bought it today and I've already had 4 people stop and talk to me about the car. The car sounds amazing.

2014 3LT with 9k miles. I wanted a new base model, but they wouldn't have a base model in till April.

Yeah I suppose this time of the year in the Carolinas, hell here in FL today it didn't break 60.

I've been on corvette forum looking at parts for this car... All aftermarket stuff for this car is way over priced. $500 for an intake? $2k for headers, $1500 for an exhaust... fuck.

Yep.... the Corvette tax, it is real. :ha

They are still really young though the C7, hopefully in time more manufactures will produce things and the price should go down.

I say skip all that anyway, when STS releases their kit just modify that car one time...... Oh my it is out already.:ha Yeah I wouldn't nickel and dime it to death, intake headers and exhaust you listed there well you are already at $4k. The STS kit is $10.7k, and you won't need any of those parts you listed.

I'm sure the car would be retarded fast then, I knew a guy that had the STS kit on his C6 Z06, it made stupid power.

I'm thinking about getting a ECS or Procharger for 6k. I'd still need exhaust, xpipe and headers though. I don't need to make crazy power or anything. Also, I can't jump on board with turbos in the rear and underneath the car. If I went the turbo route, I would need to do a traditional turbo setup out front. And those cost a ton.

yea that car is still young, parts will be $$$$$$$$$$ for a while. what is wrong with rear mount turbos? you feel how much power it has when you put your foot down, not like you have to worry about lag.

I know they make good power, but rear mount turbos do have more lag, although lag with a v8 is a non-issue. They're also less efficient than traditional turbos, and for just a bit more, I could do a front mount turbo setup. They work, but I can't get over the fact that it's not a proper turbo setup. Since I was a turbo guy before, I can't bring myself to getting what I'd consider blasphemous among turbos. I'd rather make a little less power with a SC and save some money.

BTW, putting around at 1500 rpm is pretty cool. It's much more ballsy down low than I'm used to. The car kind of dies off up top though.

I remember argument back on the original RF forums between him and somebody else regarding rear mounted turbos, it was heated and went on for like 15 pages haha.

I still feel the same way...lol. It's not the right way to do a TT setup.

I think this car would benefit a lot from cams, and maybe a bit of head work, but I'll lose a lot of street ability doing that.

This guy is making 700whp with an ECS s/c, meth, and some headers. I'd be fine with 600whp on pump. ECS S/C seems to be the cheapest method to get to 600whp on pump gas.

BTW, I've been on the corvette forums for a few days now, and it's so boring there. They spend all their time talking about floor mats, interior trims, and shit. I could of got this option, with the run flat tires or whatever. There is very little about actual performance stuff or guys making 1000whp or anything like that. So different from other car forums.

Are you on LS1tech? I know you have a "LT1" :ha but seriously there are going to be go fast C7s on there. LS1tech is just like the fast GM website. It's definitely not just LS motors.

corvette forums are just old guys that probably don't even change their own oil.
LS1tech will be good, almost all the GM tech people washed up on that board.
