The imports I've worked on are much easier. I did a header install myself on my old car, and it took less than half an hour. Turbos, injectors, etc. are less than an hour. My friend can do a complete motor swap on a honda in a couple hours. If his motor pops, he just buys another off a local forum for $150 and drops it in. I had to have a friend help me on the vette, and it was an all day affair. Everything is packed in really tight, and everything is in the way of everything. Edited by ilivas, Mar 27 2015, 10:26 PM.

yep.....done headers on an f-body in a driveway... you look and think psh this shouldn't be that bad.. you get into it and OMG, its the same thing... its all packed TIGHT. I've changed the spark plugs on this car with the help of a friend......it was done blind, i found the plug, put the wrench on, he took it off... i put it back in reverse... it could have been midnight and the spark plug change wouldn't have been any worse. but on that same coin other stuff on these cars is SUPER easy, the day to day daily stuff is so easy.. its just when you have to go beyond that....its a major f*k not sure how easy a motor pull is on a honda.....but everything on that car was kinda straight forward, but it was old and everything was in a pain to bust loose, the mazda is a major asshole!! but i'll just blame that on ford cause they are the same way!!!!! i have to take the WHEEL AND FENDER LINING OFF THIS THING ...to do A HEADLIGHT!!! RAAAAAAAAAAAAAA This is kinda the reason i will by japanese over euro... after working on both euro is built like it wants to cause you pain... japanese not so much... makes sense kinda straight forward.... |

Euro cars are even worse. I had to work on a jetta once. It was the worst experience of my life. Plug wires cost an arm and a leg. It was always weird stuff that would fail on it, like wiper motors, or electric trunk latch assembly. |

Wow that C7 looks really good. Curious though why you went with Diablosport. The reason my car isn't tuned is because of Diablo. |

I went with diablosport because I can sell it after I don't need it anymore. It has a preloaded map for the intake I have also. I will likely go with hptuners after I install the supercharger. |

Yeah I am. I just won't do a dyno tune till after the supercharger is on. I don't want to pay twice for a dyno tune. Supercharger will likely be going on sooner than I thought. Tune will be done here. It's only 30 minutes away http://www.jhrperformance.com/ |

Nice! I love how GM nailed the exotic look with the C7, I pretty much didn't like red/yellow on a lot of generations of Corvettes but the C7 looks great in the brighter colors. |

I hate silver. Absolutely hate it. But guess what color my Corvette was, and what color my current SRX is? The C7 though it even looks good in silver. |

Also hate is a bit of a strong word. Strongly dislike is what I should have said. Silver's main benefit is that it does bring out subtle curves, and design cues that other colors wash out. |

I just don't like the current 10 year old trend of bland boring colors..... white, silver, black, sandstone..... nobody does any COLOR anymore.. just watch traffic and its nothing but an ocean of boring. SILVER, on the other hand is a BREEEEEEEEZE to take care of!!! even when its dirty it doesn't really look dirty....waxing, hell yes! never any swirl marks!!! totally brain dead to take care of. |

I have been seeing a black C7 on my way into work this week, I don't know what version of black GM is using on the C7 but it is far from boring, car is downright sinister looking. |

The black accent pieces on my car has a lot of metallic flake in it. I wonder if it's in the same color as the black cars. I have a shop putting a cam in because, apparently this job is very difficult on a c7. It seems that everything on a c7 is super hard. I talked to the guy in the shop, and he said that a header install on a c7 is quite a bit harder than an fbody. He alspo said on LSx motors, cam jobs are easy, but they're nightmares on c7s.
