Incompetent government officials need to pay for their mistakes and pay back the millions of dollars they illegally owe people. Government handouts are a drop in the bucket compared to the other areas this city is bleeding money. This would be one of the best cities in the country if it wasn't run by such incompetent fuckasses. |

I'm not sure of that, I haven't looked into it at all. I know you can use some welfare cards as cash in cities all over the country tho. I'm kinda tried of people talking about government handouts tho. I get that the system gets mistreated and some of it is bullshit, but out of all the mismanagement of the overall budget, they really don't even matter. That, along with the fact that the amount of times they are warranted, and help a family get out of trouble and back on their feet are completely under reported. I understand people having issues with the fact that some people are abusing the system and are lazy and getting shit for free, but in the grand scheme of things the money we are paying into that public service is such a small % of the overall clusterfuck that is this countries budget problem, there are bigger things to worry about. Politicians are using that as a distraction from the bigger, more important issues, like why we can justify spending $6 trillion on a pointless war, but won't spend a few billion on helping veterans when they get back completely fucked up mentally and physically from the war. |

I know how to limit government spending, and reduce the abuse of the system. I understand that people get into hard times, and I personally donate quite a bit of money to private charities for this purpose. The problem is when the government delegates where the funds go, then it's much more abused and wasted. watch the video https://www.facebook.com/RandPaul/videos/10153136164121107/?pnref=story Edited by ilivas, Jul 7 2015, 07:24 PM.

normal people that need it to get out of trouble, are normally the ones that are denied and confused by the mountain of paperwork. Its almost like the system is setup FOR those people. When wife got knocked up and we were having a baby... work and just recently blown up and income was sucky but I was getting the bills paid. Calling all the OB offices trying to get her setup on her every month checkup thing.. didn't have insurance, all the offices were kicking me back like go see if you can get assistance here...here..here. Nope, you pretty much have to be zero nickels to rub with no sun on the horizon for you to qualify. Do you own a house? do you have money in the bank? i mean you gota be blanked out dead on the street, so no normal people don't let themselves get like that..so they will NEVER benefit. We semi know these chinese people that run a sushi house, all their kids are on gov, all of them are on medicad, they drive mercs, own a business, but they know how to screw the system. they OWN NOTHING, the company does, they pay themselves from the company, so they make their take home pay so low they qualify for everything!!! they know how to work it. so I just paid for the whole thing and birth cash money, which is fine, but seeing the system, and seeing people working the system...its totally crazy. No these 100% aren't for people that just had something happen and need help |

around 10k OB, + hosp it was painful but it was also nice the service we got being paid in advance, it was almost like the hosp said HOLY SHIT PAYING PEOPLE ROck IT!!!!!!!!! also another thing to point out... my friend got preg, had a baby, had insurance...and I paid less. Because you know private plans for 2 people + maturity is likeeeeee 800+ a month and she had an 8,000 deduct.. so yea add all that up

Insurance these days sucks... I got the flu and had to get prescription meds. It cost me $250 with my insurance. It used to cost like $50. |

The monthly payments suck the most, normal healthy small family, 700+ a month. I paid all of Renees check ups and shots out of pocket, each visit ranged from 60, to 160 depending on how many shots she got. Paid that every 3 months are so.. no biggie. paying cash does work smooth,..really smooth, docs even have a "self pay cash" price list. its just that fear of getting hurt and needing to go to the hospital that will keep you awake at night. The odd thing is all the nurses were shocked.. no insurance? oh my gosh this must be so expensive for you.. uh? really? you know what rates are these days lady? this is WAY CHEAPER. Oh well, hooked up on the health exchange now, so far so good.. they made it law so I had to do it at some point and if they want to foot some of my monthly payment have at it! The fucked up part is that if you had insurance, they would have charged your insurance company $80k-100K for that same shit. |

something has got to give...this health care bubble has got to pop and pop hard.......look at the health care industry and how fast its growing..its like the 90s dot com bubble. the ACA didn't really solve the core issues at all... its like the gov saying, yea we know they suck and charge retarded prices, so we'll just pay some of your bill so it doesn't sting. NO.. GO PHASERS FULL BLAST AT THE PROBLEM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |

Indeed, I think I read some where a bag of saline fluid cost the hospitals around 50 cents and then they charge like $100 to fill you up. Madness. |
