I went to a department store off michigan avenue, and I liked one of the blazers on a mannequin. Awesome, I think I'll pick this up..... Nope.... it costs 12 grand. 30k per year is a lot for a receptionist. They make about half that around here. I know cost of living there is high, but shit. The most expensive high end apartment, with all amenities around here is $900 a month, I think. Edited by ilivas, May 25 2012, 02:37 PM.

yea go find a real estate tax accountant or maybe just a real estate laywer, I calculated it all out and it amounted up to be a chunk of money out of my pocket that wasn't going to get back to me very fast. Its a good long term play, but it won't really start to pay out well until the properties are paid off. |

Yep, after surgery and inspection of the little tumor, looks like everything will be ok now. It was a very agressive kind of cancer, but it was caugh in a very early stage, so now with some sessions of radiotherapy and 5 years taking pills, this should be gone forever

Yeeeah...not around here haha. Chicago isn't as bad as New York, but it's still pretty pricey. My last apartment was cheap for the area, and I was paying $950. One bedroom, tiny bathroom, tiny-er kitchen, decent living room. Had to pay for electric, gas, and cable on top of that which came out to like $150 total. You can't really find anything less than that in the city, unless you want to live on the South Side, but there's too much crime down there for my tastes. But that's just one of the prices you pay for city life. Personally, I would rather pay $1200/month for a shitty place in a fun part of the city than $300 for a great place in the suburbs....I can't stand it out there. I grew up there, and it's a great place to raise a family, but there its so godamn boring. I lived 5 blocks from Wrigleyfield, and within walking distance to god knows how many bars, restaurants, beaches, and parks. If I was bored, I just went out and walked around until i found something to do. I love the city and don't ever plan on moving away from it. I know I could move out to the burbs and save a shit load more money, but I just have such a better quality of life out where there is always something going on. I'm actually up in Milwaukee until September. I'm renting newly remodeld condo (im the first resident) in a Hotel that was built in 1920. Its got like 120 hotel rooms and 60 condo units, which is sweet because there are all the hotel amenities, but with my own condo. Like room service, hotel bar/restaurant, SPA, fitness center, but no pool. Lake michigan is right across the street, and Summerfest is only 3 blocks away. cant fucking wait for that to start up, I alreayd have tickets for RHCP, Foo Fighters, Iron Maiden, Alice Cooper (why not haha) Aero Smith, Chevelle and possibly Cake, but I think they're at the same time as Chevelle. |

hah...I wish. But no...the condos are just like regular condos. The only thing they share with the hotel, other than those amenities I mentioned, is the maintenance guy/crew. |

I'm looking to buy a new (to me) car and I can't decide on what I want. Idk if I want to go sporty, fast, cargo, utility, mix, or whatever the fuck. I've never been at an autos crossroads like this before, usually I'm pretty sure what I want to get months ahead of time. Give me some suggestions. Looking to spend 10-15k tops, so I'm definitely going used. It's probably going to be parked on the street, so i dont need anything fancy. I would like a mix of sport and cargo so I've been looking at Speed3's, WRX wagons/hatch's and stuff like that. But not sure if i want to go the SUV/crossover route since I do haul shit around a lot like guitar amps and what not. MPG isnt a huge issue, unless it gets something like 14mpg....then thats kinda outta the question. Other than that, having a manual trans is the only other necessity....i cant stand driving auto. |

sounds like you want a manual wagon of some type. Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm, the manual only requirement really makes it tough. I've driven manuals as many miles as I've driven autos... for some reason I do not care at all. Manual cars will carry a better price tag though cause nobody wants to drive them , its also hard to find them in a nice fully loaded car....as the manual normally comes in the base POS. sooooo speedy SUV/wagon thing w/ stick... you've pretty much pidgin holed yourself in the subaru camp right from the start. Lots of OK wagon choices but they won't be fast and they only MIGHT be stick. Edited by sn00zie, May 30 2012, 10:03 AM.

noooooooooooo thanks! I have no idea why they even did an IPO.....they have no real revenue model, they would have been better off to stay private and just make the cash while they could and hoped to survive 10 years. Now FB is going to get really werid.... they've opened the doors to the sharks, the investors are going to take I look at that operation and say you mother fkers better figure out as many ways to create cash as you can......in which will make FB really werid what they do with all your personal data...... Look at goog, they just did search and ads..... they go public suddenly they are in a hot panic to stick their dks in anything that slightly moves. They had a solid $$$$ model to, but its like the investors said what ads only bring you 50millionbillionzillion, well assholes you better be able to double that number till the end of time or we will be PISSSSSSSSED now you have goog trying to crawl up everyons ass and jump in bed with them at night....... with their IPO, went that don't be evil statment... now its be maximum evil, for maximum profits / returns. Its like these guys still have dot com bubble glasses on. |

I would get an auto SUV or Truck. I just wouldnt buy an MS3 or WRX in auto. Auto doesnt bother me as much in a truck or an SUV, but I dont like driving it in anything even remotely sporty. |

im pleased with my vue redline, lots of space for stuff...folding rear seats....no squishy ride...looks cool....pretty peppy.... decent MPG.....fully loaded.... doesn't drink 93. Its in your price range but kinda rare and hard to find. remember sporty things drink the expensive gas. when i was searching for another car speed wasn't on my list of stuff i wanted... good mpg and space for stuff was. How about a turbo VW diesel wagon thing.(good mpg, can be faster) volvo makes an ok looking wagon as well. last year vibe GT, manual and has the yamaha built high revving faster engine. Rav4 ? |
