I fucking hate places like that, which is why I've never really wanted to relocate to the south. Any city that openly makes it's laws based on religion can go fuck themselves. I honestly hate the people trying to spread religion on the street more than I do the worthless crackheads asking me for spare change. I have nothing against people that are very religious, live their life by the bible, and go to church every sunday and choose not to drink on sundays and stuff like that, I think it's their right and more power to them. But the ass buckets that try to spread the word of God to people that dont want it, and condemn other people for not following the bible can go fuck themselves.

My Grandfather passed away today. Back in a car tomorrow to PA. The girlfriend is going with me, that feels good, losing my last grandparent sucks. I didn't really spend a ton of time with him this summer. We did celebrate his 90th birthday in July, and he seemed to be in good health when I left, so it feels sudden.
That sucks man, sorry to hear that. My last grandparent (grandma on my moms side) is 94 and isn't really responding to medicine anymore. They're most likely going to move her from the assisted living to Hospice shortly...which is pretty much a last stop before...well...ya know. She's been in a home for a few years, and has been fading over the last few years. Her mind is shot and she thinks shes about 27 years old, so Ive had times to come to terms with it but it still sucks.

wellllllllllll thats exactly what the bible says to do, spread the word of god to others. :ha
the condemning part... well..... glass houses people.

but on the flip side......... i've got bigger shtuff to worry about in my life then some person on the side of the road telling me to praise the lord, if that makes your top 10 list on reasons not to move somewhere :rof

in my area you can't buy alco on sunday before 2pm.......... i've never felt the need to start downing beer sunday morning but if I did i could plan accordingly and be just fine.

I think im just numb to the annoying things life throws at you. I've been working for myself for years now and whenever a road block is thrown your way there is no "I can't do it" option, so all this low level mindless morning talk show radio bullshit problems aren't anywhere on my radar.

I hear people bitching about work and blahbhablhh and im looking at them like motherfker I didn't go to bed till 4am last night and I woke up early and started it all over again..... weekends? yea I don't have those either, its like HARD WORK has become a dirty word :rage

I agree with you. I am a fairly religious person, but I don't try to force it down people's throats. I also don't think laws should be based on religion. You're free to believe what you want. I'm a firm believer of separation of church and state. I also live in the middle of the Bible belt. I do see people that hang outside a grocery store once in awhile advertising their church or whatever, maybe once a year or so. It's very rare. They don't seem to bother anyone though, so it doesn't annoy me. They don't chase anyone down, and the people that ignore them they don't seem to hassle. If people don't like it, they just ignore and keep walking and keep doing what they're doing. I think it's greatly over exaggerated by people who don't live here. I can't even remember the last time, I had seen someone pushing their church. I see more people recruiting for multi-level marketing (pyramid schemes) pushing their product in public than religious people . These are the people that bother me.

I will say, that as far as Christians go, there are people that are very old and traditional, and have their old ways, but the newer generation of people is a lot easier to deal with. I have seen those people on TV that protest, and say hateful things to the gay community, and things like that. I have personally never seen it around me, and it is not representative of the Christian community as a whole, just minor extremist. They're just as bad as the homosexuals banning Chick Fil-A. No respect for one's beliefs.

I lived in a dry county. It's no longer dry as of 3-4 years ago. You had to drive 20 minutes before to buy alcohol.

my phone is ringing off the hook with auto dialer ad people, and yay bring on the TV commercials. CIRCUS - BEGIN! :spl

I watched an interview with the VP ryan guy...... he seems somewhat normal.

I don't even really get what angle the dems are playing this go around except rich people are evil and they need to pay more tax??? if you start taxing the piss out of people they leave.... people aren't going to work harder so the gov can tax and take more. So go ahead and start clubbing the people that create jobs and get stuff done over the heads, lets see where that gets everyone. :over

kinda like this....

Yeah, I hate Karl Obama Marx... and Romney is Obama Jr. posing as a republican... Ryan seems alright, but I think I'm going to write in Ron Paul even though he has stopped campaigning.

If I don't do a write in, I guess I will vote Romney, and feel dirty about it when I go home.

I liked ron paul but this last year he was kinda all over the place.

he'd stay stuff that was on the spot correct, then he'd go off into left field saying stuff and made me think Huh? wah? it was 50/50 for me 1/2 the stuff i was saying yeaaa right on, then the other 1/2 I had question marks above my head.

I did like that he didn't shit sling AT ALL, and he wouldn't even go anywhere near a loaded question..... in which everyone else just left him alone, nobody would say anything sideways about him.

i'll most likely vote romm just so we can get o-dog outa the office... we are going no where with this joker.

Paul sounded like a nut job a few times, but I took it as just him being passionate about what he believes in. lol.

I'm voting Obama....but I'm not really happy about that. I'm pretty offended as an American that these are our choices for president...I cant stand the two party system. But after some research, I've come to the conclusion that neither one of these guys has any chance of turning the deficit around so might as well vote Obama. I like his views on civil rights towards women, gays, and just social issues in general. Plus I think Romney is a complete tool and I wouldn't trust that shitbag with my sack lunch. Also, Paul Ryan has one of those most extreme, aggressive conservative budget planes I've ever seen. Pretty much killing medicare, along with many other necessary government funding for various programs. His plan would have people like Romney who make millions each year to pay 0.85% in income taxes, while raising the shit out of the lower 30%. I dont think that plan would ever go into effect, but just the fact he has those views makes me dislike him.

and that's all I will say about politics on this board haha. I feel like I know more about the candidates than the average person, despite my extreme generalizations above, but I really dont know enough to get into a debate about it. Even if I did, I would most likely stay out of it because...well.....arguing politics is lame haha.

Yeah, we pay a lot of money because of this shit. Doesnt sound like it affects us as much as it does the guy you were talking to, but we do pay a lot of money on tarrifs. I think the highest we pay is around 7-8%, while some other products are free. On average i would say its between 3.5 - 5%

I didn't hear any of them say they'd be raising the tax on anyone, but also if i could pay fking 0.85 % in tax right now you better god damn believe I would.

Don't hate the guy taking advantage of our convoluted tax system that takes people a full time job to figure out. Making money isn't easy and if I can keep the govs dirty hands off my cash I'll do it!!!!!!!!! Its just like what I was bitching about with imports.

TAX it coming in..... TAX the sale..... TAX the profit, then you've got to restock, pay your merchant processing fees...... ok everyone lets see how much we have left to keep this bitch running.... wow really? how much ass busting was involved to make this happen? hmmmmmmmmm

Some people will think the juice isn't worth the squeeze and say fk it........ which means less jobs for all these people that are bitching about jobs.

For some reason "business" and "corporation" is some magic word that means rolling in money rich, it isn't. Small / med biz is a gauntlet of looking a mountain of eat shit right in the face and still making it happen.

Tax evasion.... i totally understand why people do it, :wall

I'm not sure, since I never import anything, all I do is export. I do know from being in the industry that import taxes are a joke. Most of it is done under the table, or with fake commercial invoices. Say of there is an invoice for $50,000, a fake invoice will be made that says the commercial value is only $5,000.

ok well its nice to know you can bend the rules, im in the gray zone.... if you know how to properly ship, split orders and pick the correct shipping company, its easy.

surprisingly some shipping companies are like customs magnets and you almost have a 80% chance your stuff will be seized at customs and you might never see it.

I hope to be moving container loads in the next 12 months... and thats prob going to require paying tariffs :ha

I don't like obama's socialist actions... he wants too much government in our lives. Forcing people to get insurance? He wants to force us to give up our guns? Force tax hikes to corporations... really the businesses that provide jobs? I will say one thing as a business owner, if I make less money you better believe my employees will make less money also. My business suffers, my employees suffer, I suffer. In turn, I decrease my spending, as do my employees, which makes other businesses suffer due to decrease spending, and the chain goes on. So in a sense, people with jobs lose, but people on medicare, welfare, and WIC win... yay

Make sure you ask your importer to make you a fake commercial invoice, under xxx value. He/she will most likely know what to do. Since every item needs to be accounted for in the invoice, and packing list with a set price. Also, choose a shipping carrier/ logistics company that is local to you, and their offices are normally all beside the airport or dock depending on your method of shipment. By sea is way, way cheaper if you do huge containers, but it can take months to get to you. You need someone that will take care of everything for you. They will give you their direct cell phone number, and most of the time they will answer e-mails instantly. True VIP treatment. You shouldn't have to worry about anything since a good logistics company will handle it all for you. They will hold your hand through the entire process. It's very easy.
