ugh - those mom and pops trans people know best most of the time.. they don't want shit rolling back up broken. solenoids doesn't sound bad... not sure how a sol going out would kill an transmission though I'd maybe be investigating putting solenoids in from another truck if thats the case... again something a mom and pop would know.

I agree man I have had some of the best work from small shops, but my brother is the guy who is too busy to deal with looking crap up so he calls me. They could be just giving him some bullshit lie and my bro would pay to fix it he knows no better. It looks like the Acadia has a SHIT ton of NHTSA Bulletins. |

ugh ugh ugh, dealership is like LAST RESORT. Having a local mechanic is like your doctor!! you don't bullshit around with finding a doctor and dentist, why not the guy that works on your car? Once you find a good one that doesn't b/s and shoots straight you stick with him for life! car fking up? yea send it to bob he'll short that shit out. Moving to a new city? 1. Doctor 2. Dentist 3. Mechanic 4. Transmission Guy 5. HVAC Guy .....etc...etc.. these are the people you have saved in your contact list on your phone I don't understand why people don't get this... they just sit around and when something breaks they call the 1st number they see and get reamed, its not done right then they go into the circle of doom of never being done right and always breaking again. THose people are never on your side, don't wanna save you money, and don't give a rats ass about quality of work. Your bro should probably go into the routine of - buy new car - warranty ends - sell car - buy new car, or hell just lease them so you never own it long enough for it to break. The money he'll piss into the wind having the dealer fix it will prob just make it a break even causssssssse this is going to happen with any car you own. Thats why once i get a car that stops giving me shit i hang onto it and drive it into the ground. Edited by sn00zie, Aug 27 2012, 02:53 PM.

I had an item shipped from Germany, it did get here but it takes forever. My Dad test drove an Escape while car shopping this summer. He said its extremely sharp looking, and he liked the punch from the turbo'd motor. ![]() Bummer he bought the N/A Forester in the end, although it is really comfortable. |

These things are bigger than I remember, and it takes up two slots. If I were to crossfire 4 slots down. When did they start making these things so damn big? Copper tubing is routed all over it too.

hahahaha welcome back to the world of PC's! yea they never made cards that big back when you were screwing with them, and believe it or not they get BIGGER then that too. Sometimes you've got to purchase your card around your case... or the other way around. you'll def have to pay attention to where you install your hard drives, I had to move mine around just to fit my card in. |

![]() this is a triple slot card, it even has a little PCI slot bumper to hold the weight.... and in the picture you don't really get a feel for how massive the card is, until ..................... someone holds it and you see its the size of her whole upper body ![]() it even makes a full ATX motherboard look small ![]() lots has changed... for the better, wait till you see the graphics these babies can push.

So... got a few problems so far. Windows is not taking my CD key for some reason. Windows is also not detecting the 2nd hard drive which is weird because it detected it when I had to choose which hard drive to install windows on. I have 2 Blue "SS" USB ports on the front, no idea what they're for, and I couldn't find a place on my motherboard for them. I'm assuming my motherboard does not support it. Case also weighs a ton, and no longer fits under my desk. The positives are, the case is awesome for routing wires. I normally have a jungled mess in there. Everything is easy, and I love the completely tooless design for installing drives, and pci cards. Mechanical keyboard feels great. It's my first experience with one, and I'm hooked. if the usb ports on the front are blue that means you plug them into a USB 2.0 header on your motherboard, if your motherboard doesn't have a USB 2.0 header leave it dead and unplugged. It actually could be 3.0 but you'd have to read the case manual... either way same applies. Case manual - motherboard manual, you'll find it. windows is not taking your CD key? do you have a retail or OEM version........... or an under the table kind. when you boot into windows it will not see an un partitioned hard drive, you have to go into the disk mananger and partition the hard drive, then format it, you will then see the disk under "my computer" windows actually does SEE the drive but if it doesn't have a partition it won't display it,,, instead its just "DISK 2" Right click on "computer" head to "manage" you'll see it... play around you'll figure it out.. i think you have to initialize it 1st then partition... then format.
