Take into account, at least for the ipad, they can go like 15 hours non-stop run time, and are 0.28 inches thick, and weigh 10 ounces. I'm sure the windows one is around there too. I'm not sure what intel stuff can do though. |

yea i don't really care about that as much as functionality... thats why I don't like tabs now.. i can't get anything real done other then screwing around. atleast with the x86 i know i've got a real install of windows back there so it can go from dicking off mode to get stuff done mode. |

That's why I was saying if you need that, it's probably just best to get a notebook. They're all compromises, just gotta find the one that fits you.

haha awesome! I remember getting an old MS joystick back in they day and it came with Decent. But I was on a 486 at the time so my dad upgraded us to a Pentium 133 I could play the game haha. I played that game for hours, tho I don't remember it being cool enough to remake with modern graphics. EDIT: hahahaha...nevermind I'm thinking of that shitty game Hellbender....fuck you I was in 5th grade...lotta shit has happened since then and my memory isnt what it used to be haha Edited by Tommyb, Nov 1 2012, 01:59 PM.

Nice tecnique, I'll have to remember this. My cousin, the woman, and I ate breakfast at a place this summer that still had the working juke boxes, it also played the song on the main box. I'm sure we got some weird looks. ![]() It's from May, but a cool 60 Minutes segment on UK Top Gear. |

at some sports bars they have the new ones that are connected to the big ass sound system. we'd walk in and it would be like bass bumping JAy Zzzzzzz boom chicka boom... 15 mins later panata... white zomebie... septultura...black sabbath.....etc etc etc, mix all that stuff up for an hour and people ears start to bleed, then they realized the pain isn't going to stop anytime soon cause we dropped 10 bux in that bitch and they just give up and go WIN!

Soooooooooo......I might buy a maaaaac!!!! A place my friend works at has a marketing/design team that uses Mac's, and he they just got done upgrading all of the machines for the team so they have a bunch left over. It's nothing great, but still a pretty decent machine because they're somewhat newer (for already being replaced) and not a bad price. I don't know the exact specs but it's a CoreDuo intel chip, 4gb ram, I assume at least 100gb HDD. Not a rockstart by any means, but it's one of those all in one machines with a 27" screen and they only want like $250-$300 for it. He picked one up and if it's the same condition, i might as well. Not dirty, no scratches, screen is crystal clear, It's actually pretty quick since OSx (or whatever it is) is pretty efficient. I would still probably build another PC, but ive always wanted to get my hands on a cheap Mac just so I can learn more about them. I feel like an idiot when anyone asks me to help them with their Mac and I have no idea where to even start. Plus that 27" screen would be awesome for editing photos so i figure id give it a shot. |

I picked up an ipad mini last night... It's pretty much the exact same thing, but smaller. I like the size though. It's really thin, and light, and much more manageable than the full size ipad. The screen size doesn't feel like it's too small either.

if you know enough about linux or really BSD you can work on the guts of OSX, you can also scare lots of mac users when you open the console, oh my lord what is this black text screen. They are so used to fisher price they have no idea its even there. you are basically buying a mac laptop shoved into an LCD. Macs are boring now, its just PC hardware, with an appleish BSD install. The only time i was interested in owning one is when they were still based on powerPC and it REALLY was something different. I still wouldn't mind an old quicksilver G4... cause its like the last real machine apple produced. now they are just over priced and they gota make OSX complicated and locked to hardware just for the sake of being complicated and locked to hardware. lame just build yourself a hackentosh from off the shelf PC shit... you'll end up with a cheaper machine thats faster then anything mac has for sale. thats why they sued the fk out of poor old psystar... cause thats exactly what they were doing. mac= *yawn* |

They technically never released a new full size ipad, just the smaller one (ipad mini). They're pretty much just changing their connectors of their existing devices to the new charging/sync cable which is why they never advertised a new ipad. Edited by ilivas, Nov 5 2012, 08:00 PM.

I like iPads, but it's kinda horse shit they changed the connectors like that. There really wasn't any need to other than to get all the revenue from forcing everyone to buy all new devices that used the old ones. |
