the front end has already been done, they have "big picture" mode for your TV.

I use it on my HTPC
It's a good start, but they still have a long way to go. However, I'm sure they will improve upon it by the time they release the console.

Nice trade! I'd say you made out better, I like the looks of that over the Bel Air. Plans? LS swap??? 4.8/5.3 with a pair of Chinese turbos???

You know I'm always schemin! No plans for it. I will try and sell and get cash for it or trade for something and cash. I'd like to keep it and make it into a pro-touring car like the Bel-Air but if I cant sell it and my 68 truck sells then I will put some money into it. I just can't have two projects damn, hard enough with one.

Anybody have any experience with Toyota's iForce 4.7?

I have a '99 Exploder that is just about on it's last leg and I'm looking for something to replace it. I live in the city (Chicago) and I work from home so I don't really drive all that much, but I do enough to where I prefer having a car around. I need something reliable, relatively cheap, and must have decent cargo space. My uncle has a '99 or '00 4Runner with 370k miles on it and it still runs great. My friend also has the same car with 190k and no problems either, so I started searching around for a used 4Runner. I came across an '04 that I really like, and seems to be a good price, but it has the iForce V8 4.7 instead of the V6 my uncle/friend has. I don't know much about this motors reputation, so just wanted to see if any of you have either owned one, or know somebody that has owned one and what your thoughts are on their reliability. From what I've read online, they seem to be pretty solid, but that was coming from a Toyota forum so I took it with a grain of salt. My girlfriends parents have a '99 Landcruiser with a 4.7 and 235k miles, and it drives like it's brand new as well, but I cant seem to find out if that is the same engine or not.

Thanks!

Ever think of a WRX wagon, or need more cargo space than it would offer? I'm just thinking city plus mileage, but maybe because you don't drive much mileage isn't as big of an issue?

I would LOVE a WRX Wagon, but they're pretty pricey for the milage up here. I just dont drive very much so I'm trying to find something reliable and nice for around 10k that will last me...um...idk forever? haha. I probably drive 8-9k miles a year and that is almost all highway. Maybe 5% city. I plan on driving the car into the ground so it will probably be with me quite a while which is why I'm having a hard time deciding on what I want.

It actually hasn't been that bad this year...hell it was 70 degrees here the first 3 days of december. Love me some global warming. ALso, I guess there was some huge snowstorm that just swept across the country? Iowa and Wisconsin got blasted with like a foot of snow and we didnt get shit. Rained all day here and then in the morning there was a light dusting of snow on some cars parked in the street. Last year was super mild as well, but Chicago is goofy like that. We'll have a 2 or 3 seasons in a row with mild weather and then mother nature decides she needs to make up for it and gives us a terrible winter with 7 feet of snow. But yeah, so far it's not bad here. usually the winters are brutal here. I love visiting other parts of the country like california, Carolinas, florida, ect, but I don't ever see myself moving away. City is corrupt as hell, but Chicago is one hell of a summer city and well worth the wait.

Btw sp00ke, what part of Florida are you in? My parents just put in an offer on a winter condo down there, I forgot where but I'll find out real quick. My dads born and raised on the southside and has been in the Chicagoland area his whole life and he just decided "Ive had enough of this shit" haha. Theyve been renting a condo the last 2-3 years in florida from just after xmas through march, so they just decided to buy a place since there are about 3 trillion shortsales down there haha.
