The Amputator *meow*

Well I thought the end of the world was today?? shit now I have to go buy X-mas gifts! So First time driving in the snow the other day. Lets just say its a Drift game gone real I was all out of wack in this shit, took a roundabout a little sketchey bout hit the curb until I figured out No steering and no brakes = let off the brakes and floor it LOL. Titan with bald ass rear tires was a fking joke in snow It took Obama and the seven dwarfs to get that bastard going from a stop. Never felt more alive getting to work in one piece. Drove to Mt st helens to meet up with my brother in our 98 four skinner and my brother wanted to see how far we could make it let me tell you that was a kick ass drive in the middle of no where! @ 3000ft it went from green to white covered snow just like that, we made it 9 miles from the crater then the roads were closed due to ice and snow. Everything on the other side of this bridge is considered the blast zone. Here are some pics.![]() ![]() Edited by smith2823, Dec 21 2012, 11:55 PM.

I was pretty lucky because I wasn't able to watch the hobbit yet. I didn't want the world to end before I could watch it. |

Have the car shipped from Arizona or something, I bet they go pretty cheap there where they don't need AWD. |

I think the libertarian movement is picking up in popularity. Hopefully, in the next few terms we can eliminate the two party system. |

I scare passengers

I guess for several years she has been dealing with the system randomly activating, leaving her stranded at 10 minutes a pop. I wanted this resolved before we move, I don't want her stuck between work and school down the road, or late being somewhere due to this. Plus in the cold weather it would be nice if the car started and she got some heat. So anyway a few days ago it was popping just about every other start of the car. $1.29 in parts from Radio Shack and I ninja'd the damn system into thinking the resistance of the circuit is right. The newer cars don't have the resistance determined by a chip in the key like our Camaros, it is in the cars circuit in 2001 and newer I think I read? So I clipped one wire, resistor from the connector yellow wire side to the black wire, solder that bitch, BAM!!! No more annoying passlock issues....:burp Damn my soldiering skills are so bad, it is so sloppy looking, I have no idea how to get a non-gloppy flowing joint. I have so much solder there but whatever it works. Seems a few years back her heater core went to shit, hence stuff got wet and I guess varying weather conditions now affect the normal occurring circuit. Someone tried to steal the car years ago but failed, car needed a new ignition switch. That wasn't the issue though as the first time the battery is unhooked the BCM learns the new resistance. Probably the heater core leak started all this mess and she seems to feel that is when the troubles had started. Sorry for the novel guys, but now you have the knowledge in case someone you know starts having issues haha. Here is the guide I used: Um well no link here folks, the PC claims it is a malicious site, which is a bummer as it was extremely useful. On the iPhone though, no such error. Basically though the BCM was right under the passenger side kick panel, center connector pins A6 and B6 are a black and a yellow wire, across from each other. Clip the yellow one far enough that you have room to work on the connector side, strip insulation from the black wire that you can solder to. solder resistor in between the black wire an the yellow wire. I used a 2200 ohm resistor. Hook battery back up, turn key. Car may or may not start. If it doesn't start turn ignition to off then back to on, security light will flash 10 minutes, then turn off. Ignition to off then try to start car, should start. That 10 minutes is the BCM learning the new resistance. Seeing as it is the resistor now and not the whole circuit, well there is no variance. Obviously do not clip the black wire, only the yellow wire is clipped. I know, I know, you all will probably never need to know this, but you never know!

so it only takes 10 mins and a resistor to steal a passlock car?

They're not true libertarians then... libertarians want very little government intervention with the most freedom. |

The LOTR movies are kinda slow through 80 percent of the movie, and really pick up at the end. Kinda like Rocky. They're definitely not for everyone though. |
