fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuck alllll yaaaalll. Haaaa. sorry bitches....the evil vodka got a hold of me tonight....kiss the rings fags. On a lighter note, upon reviewing the pics I took at my sis in laws plating factory, I found this one. Simple...yet for some reason I love it...I think I'm going to get it printed and framed. Funny how an almost accident of a pic can turn out to be one of your favs.

I scare passengers

I still haven't repaired my bike from its moving incident. Brakes are stuck on, on the front wheel. Bike had fallen over and the handlebars had turned, I'm guessing the cable is stuck? I did however run 3.3 miles the other day, in between 30-32 minutes. Which I don't think is too bad as I haven't run I think in about a year and a half, two years? Last night though while pulling pallets through Walmart it felt like midgets with ice picks were trying to burst through my shins. ![]() That is a cool picture Tommy. just pinch your brakes and undo the cable like you are going to remove the wheel. if the cable is hung it should come loose, unless it got kinked or something in which its just screwed and the cable + outer part will have to be replaced. aghhhh im currently knocking down 18 miles a day on the speed machine!!!!! I LOVE ITTTTTTTT

I'm not sure I'd want that at my house. It's cool though. It looks more like a proof of concept though, I don't think it will go to production. |

Sp00ke, do have any recommendations/tips for buying a boat in Florida? Like if you know any boat dealers they should avoid or anything like that. My parents just closed on a house in Port Charlotte, FL yesterday. 4 Bedroom house about 4 houses in from the Harbor, and they have a boat dock so my dad's definitely going to get a boat. He's been doing some research about the different kinds for a few months now, and he decided on a deckboat since they have the best of what he wants. decently sporty, but can also hold a lot of people because our family is kinda big. We went to a boat show when I was down there picking up the Crown Vic and hes looking at something 24-27 feet with an Outboard motor. He doesnt really have a preference on the motor, but from talking to a few different people, I guess outboard is the way to go around there because some of the channels and whatnot can get pretty shallow. Brands that caught his attention were a 24' Hurricane, 24' Starcraft, and a 26' Southwind. He liked the Hurricane, but it had a pointless sink behind the drivers seat which he would much rather have an extra seat instead. He liked the comparable style Starfraft because it didnt have that stupid sink. But on our way out, we saw a new brand I have never heard of called Southwind, which was actually my favorite of the 3. It just seemed really well built, like it was more of one solid piece, and just overall higher quality, but it was a little more expensive. He'll mostly likely buy a used boat too, so if you know any tips or tricks to the used boat market in Florida, I'm all ears. I know I was pretty general in my descriptions, but I really dont know much about boats haha. I've been in a lot before, but never really had a reason to learn much about them until now. I think this is the Southwind i was talking about Edited by Tommyb, May 2 2013, 11:16 AM.

that southwind looks fine, good size and since you are on the west coast you won't get much in the way of waves. looks loaded with everything you need right outa the gate.. bilge, depth finder, hydro tilt. engines, johnson, evenrude, yamaha are fine.. stay away from mercury they tend to be PITA motors. this boat will live in the salt water so hes REALLY REALLY REALLY going to have to maintain it or it will go downhill FAST. if he can get it out of the water with a lift or something that would be great but hes going to have to flush that motor EVERYTIME you go out. wash wash wash outside inside all side. salt water kills boats if you just drive and put them up without TLC. outboard or inboard / outdrive doesn't really matter, and inboard might need A LITTLE bit of more water but not much.. i'd say 4 inches more max and they both trim up just as high... and as long as hes got a depth finder shouldn't run into anything to major, slow down trim up proceed... if you start to hit ground TAKE IT OUT OF GEAR RIGHT AWAY.. sheer pins.. props...you'll be shitted fast, you can always get out and walk the boat out of shallow areas. as far as used boats around salt water areas... BEWARE, cause if they didn't TLC it you'll be buying a bag of tricks. You should be able to tell.. if its clean and looks well taken care of great.. look the motor up 12 ways to tuesday for corrosion. the secret to water craft is they are high maint, and you can't skimp. Yeah it's pretty loaded and that's what he wanted. He didn't want to have to worry about stuff like that later on. And yeah their dock has a winch on it so the boat will be out of the water when not in use. That was a big selling point of the house for my dad haha. The one thing that I really liked about the Southwind was the way it was all designed. The sales guy was showing us around the engine, and showing how the design of everything back there was designed around sealing everything off from the salt water. After that we took a second look at the other boats to see if they all did the same thing, and they kinda do but just not to the extent of the Southwind. I loved the boat. The only downfall on it, and its a pretty big down fall was the size of the seats up in the front. there was significantly less room up there compared to the other ones. I was a little cramped laying down, and the other ones i could stretch out pretty far and still have room. but in the end, im not paying shit for it so i really dont care what the hell he gets haha Also, this is the boat my mom wanted. She doesn't have a really good sense of how much boats actually cost, she just looks for what she likes haha. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Edited by Tommyb, May 2 2013, 04:03 PM.

Yeah. I really want a jet boat. We have one newer jet ski , and one older one. The newer one is a barge. It's huge and isn't as fun as our older one. Out old one is not as fast but it's nimble and maneuverable. |

Dude, fuck those jetboats...no thanks. They're awesome, and a shit load of fun....until your friend rips the wheel at 40mph and you do a 720* sideways into a wave and wake up in the water 50 feet from the boat haha. I got thrown from one of those things back in my younger, stupider days and it was a little bit of an eye opener. Those things are awesome, but they're so nimble and agile you can get into some trouble pretty quick. |

haha thats exactly what I would do!!! hell i've ripped the wheel on a full size boat before and did a 180 at top speed. you can't drive them brain dead but if you know whats up you can have tons of fun. ---------- yea the old jet skis 1 person was perfect 2 only if it was a girl, now its like yohyohoyoh 5 people riding this whale thing. |

Yeah my aunt and uncle have a Sea-Doo Bombardier that's pretty much a boat. It's fun, and it goes 60mph (according to the onboard speedometer...idk how accurate those things are), but it's built for 3 people. It's got like a thing for a rope tow so you can pull skiers and shit. They have a nice speedboat so its kinda pointless, but there are a SHIIIIIIIT load of small kids in our family so they were thinking the more the marrier. It's still fun tho, and if you're drunk enough it feels just as nimble and unstable as the sportier ones haha. |
