trucks take more pushing to go fast, its no f-body.... so you might get a little frustrated since that is what you are used to. |

my door says 3400 - with an iron block. 3600.... i don't think so, not even on the most heavily optioned out ones. I know there was a time with import owners called f-cars fat asses, when they only had a car that was 200lbs less then an f-car..............but those days are gone now that we've settled right into 4000lbs++++ cars. I think imports are still pretty light, averaging around 3000 lbs. My old subaru was a sedan, and weighed 2900 lbs with half a tank of gas (We all put our cars on truck scales). The old hondas of old were super light...integras were around 2600 lbs full weight, and hatch backs around 2000 lbs, and 1700 lbs with a gutted interior. At around 3000 lbs these days for an import, that is much heavier than they used to be. Edited by ilivas, Jul 5 2012, 02:46 PM.

I don't think anyone is really getting any half way decent performance out of the new civics either. I knew a guy who was pushing only 400whp in an old busted crx, and running mid 10's. Benefits of a light weight car. |

The new subcompact Sonic I will be looking at says it weights in at 2700lbs and it has 10 airbags, a spare tire, a bunch of worthless electronics I will never use, and they said it has the stiffest chassis in its class. I see lots of weight reduction, I only need one air bag right? spare tires? thats what AAA is for. bluetooth, whats that? I see averaging 50mpg after Im done lol. |

Wonder if the airbag system will work properly with the other 9 missing? Damn though, 10 airbags in that midget car? We are getting a bit safety overloaded I think.:ha I'm not so sure our cars are 3400. I have no power options, I think mine tipped the scales around 3560 back when it was mostly stock. I think I had close to a full tank of gas at the time. So maybe dry 3400? That reminds me, I need to stop being lazy this summer and get a bunch of interior work done! I should be dropping some more weight out of this thing. |

sooo ended up geting a cruze, the sonic just felt twitchy on the highway with the wind blowing! I was really wanting the cruze anyway and once the sonic was upgraded with the 1.4L Turbo then it was only a couple thousand more for a cruze with the same 1.4L Turbo so I went with the cruze and traded in a beat up 97 Dodge Dakota, which they gave me 2k for after I haggled with them for a while. 26/38mpg is pretty nice with gas prices jumping around and no doubt skyrocketing after the elections. Tested the ECO version with the 6speed and that was cool but not worth the extra cash IMO. Although it was much better because of the little tiny engine has to wait for the little tiny turbo to kick in for power. wierd, never had a turbo car before, I dont like the power delivery but im geting use to it. |

Yeah, tiny speakers will always be shit no matter what... you can't defy physics. I'm sure most people will opt for headphones anyways. |

Lag? Yes, compared to a V8.... stock turbo 4's have lag. Compared to other NA 4 cyl's no, you probably won't tell a difference. |

http://arstechnica.com/gaming/2012/07/will-there-be-multiple-versions-of-the-next-xbox uh what? no sorry you can't play that game at full settings, you need to buy an upgrade xbox? what are they trying to do, turn the xbox into a PC? wait what? doesn't that defeat the whole purpose of why people buy a console.... who wants to have to keep buying upgraded consoles.. thats worse then having to upgrade your PC, atleast on the PC you don't have to buy A WHOLE NEW MACHINE, just supporting mods. |

Yeah, they don't have a lot of torque, but it's a gas saver for normal driving. |
