wasn't his 4k though? granted its got heads and intake...still have to get a mono blade TB.

looks like the 383 would require LE3 heads which run 1600 ouch! kinda crazy everyone 0 to 100000 run stock ported/built heads

maybe that motor isn't a bad buy!!! HMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMmmmmmmmm

Motor and trans mount.

Stainless headers

This is the fuel pump kit I am using. Might be able to find a better price elsewhere though, not sure.

Suspension is going to come down to who has the best price. BMR, UMI, Spohn, Founders, Unorthodox Racing, Strano. A lot of companies make suspension parts for our cars. All I can recommend here is to go chromoly, lightweight and strong. BMR has excellent customer service, but I am running only their springs(I also purchased my Koni's from them, package deal the springs were free). My rear suspension stuff is all Spohn, lower control arms, panhard rod, and long style torque arm. From UMI I am using their transmission mount with torque arm relocation. The torque arm is currently attached to the tailshaft housing on the transmission. Not good once you start making tons of power, the potential is there to crack the housing. From Strano I am running his front and rear sway bar.

Torque arm should be long style. It helps handling and braking. The short style is primarily for drag racing and makes a ton of noise/roughness in ride. Learn from my mistakes.

SUBFRAME CONNECTORS!!! These are a must! I went with the SLP weld in double diamonds. The SLP's tie in not only the front to back, but also weld to the center of the car.

As for fuel injectors that will depend on your power goal.

So my sister calls me today and says "I got my oil changed today, and the guy said I should change my transfluid because it's brown." Idk how much truth there is to it, but I've heard in the past that if you don't change it regularly, you're better off not changing it at all. Something with the fluid bonding to the seals in the clutch packs, so it could damage the seals when you flush the fluid and then your trans gets all fucky. Anyway, because of this I ask her when the last time she changed it was. Never? Oh ok, well how many miles on the car? 157k.....I was like pfftt....shit if you have 157k and its ONLY brown then I guess you're fine.

I knew a girl who had received a new 2001 Eclipse. She didn't change the oil for like 30k miles. I'm not even kidding, the oil that left the factory stayed in that motor for 30k.

From what I remember that car didn't survive very long. :rof

I'm surprised it even lasted that long. Every new car I've had, burned a bit of oil before the motor was broken in. I'd have to top it off before the first oil change.

My super slow progress this week. Got the bumper off this evening, dropping it off tomorrow at my friend that had the body shop that painted the car for me, picture shows where I bumped a light pole next to my father in law's driveway the very first night I was back in FL. :lolb

Hmmm this makes the 4th time?

Stock motor to the current motor when it still had the hotcam.

Hotcam motor out for rebuild, CC503 and ported heads.

Motor out this time for mystery noise.....

Guess this car is at only 3.

I've done some LT1 wrenching in my time so I kinda can lose track. Probably thinking 4 for this car as I pulled the heads on my stock motor once. Roommates Formula I pulled the motor twice and pulled the motor out of their 95 Z28 once. Hmm yep definitely have some hours pulling LT1 cars apart. :ha
