might as well get a thread going for pictures of your other favorite ways to waste money.

I just picked up a new toy a few weeks ago.

New stuff for me...

I built a couple AR-15s, and one for the lady.

I just ordered another one, I have an AR-15 based DMR (Designated marksman rifle) coming in, which I'm building myself. This one is going to be a little pricey... I'm already at around $1400 for this build, and it's still got more to go. I was expecting a lot less, but I impulse bought a bunch of unplanned stuff for it.

One nice thing about firearms, is that you don't really lose any money. They hold their value and many times, increase. It can be an investment at times. My last two gun sales, I sold them for more than I paid.

I've got a saiga too, but it's a different kind.

Ivan, what kind? I can't tell just by looking at it, but not a 12gauge, to be sure. I am thinking of putting an AR type stock/butt on mine. The tapco has such a small area to disperse the energy...I'm a sally. Plus I want my wife to be able to shoot it and not be afraid of it. plus i'd like a folding stock for transport

We just went through that as I was trying to show her how to load with the bolt closed (no BHO option, currently)...that was a nightmare unless the mag was -1. So, after that, I'm either buying her a handgun or getting a high capacity mag and leaving it at -1. so she'll have 7 - 11 rounds. I'm not having her deal with a 20 round drum lol

It's a 7.62 x 39 saiga.

Your wife shouldn't have any problems with a 12 gauge. My fiance shoots an over/under no problems for skeet, and sporting clays. Also, if you like, she could try low recoil shells which helps a lot. On top of that, it's a semi-automatic which should have less recoil anyways. The key is to make sure the stock is the right length for her, and she's shouldering it properly, and firmly.

If you're using it as a self defense at home gun, just leave the mag in it so she doesn't to fumble around with it at all if the need arises.

Our sporting shotgun collection. Shotgun shooting sports is what we're into right now.

Nice! I almost bought a benelli before going with the saiga12...decided semi was just too good to pass on for on-target follow-ups. I still want a simple pump mossberg or benelli though. I also really want a rifle (AR). effing guns are way spendy so I'm really trying to stay away from getting too involved in this lol

I'm contemplating the Tromix skeleton stock with their limbsaver recoil pad for mine.

There's nothing more popular than Saiga 12's for 3 gun, and they're great combat shotguns. Most of my shotgun use is for clay games though.

For pumps, I like my remington 870 because the aftermarket is by far the largest out there, and it's cheap and good quality. I do like my benelli though, fit and finish is great. Good hunting gun... For home defense though, I like my remington 870.

Build an AR first thing, they're great. I can't stop building them. It's best to get them now before election panic really sets in, and prices are through the roof.

we are americans...guns is what we do.

On the topic of sneakers...our cat just pissed on mine. I swear, if that cat does one more thing like this my daughters will be asking where the cat went. I'll just have to say, "he ran away because you're not smart enough". Then I'll put his corpse under their pillow (each girl gets half) and when they find him I'll be like, "OMG YOU FOUND THE MARBLE IN THE OATMEAL!!! YOU GET TO DRINK FROM THE FIREHOSE!!" That'll throw 'em for a loop.

I'm pretty sure I've lost my mind.

they have this spray you can buy that cats hate, spray it on your shoes and they'll stay the fk away. But normally once they piss on something its screwed, even if you wash it the cat still smells it and goes back thinking hey im supposed to piss here... cause i've done it before so it must be cool.

burn the shoes, and start putting them in some other location for a while. In a month or so the cat will forget it ever pissed on shoes in the 1st place.

I never have a problem with mine they are all good, worst thing they'll do is play with something that im working on cause it gets their attention. picture in 3.....2.......111111 AHHH fk cat gd. :meow :meow

this spray you speak of...is it 00 buck? lolz.

Yeah it's where we keep all our sneakers so I'm going to buy some sort of enclosed cabinet thing for them...at least get them off the ground.

Can't believe i forgot the site mascot (yeah, I'm calling it) in some posts about cats.

Ah yes the final solution spray! I hear it is most effective. :ha

I still want to fire a PS-90. I want to try one out, rifle wise I for some reason have a desire for one. Maybe its the 50 round magazine or its trick features like rounds that eject down. Looking at it though you know its one of those have to shoot to feel first, the thing just looks so funky.

I imagine 5.7 rounds are not cheap either.

my sister's cat used to do the same with her bf sneakers.... she starter reading about this behavious and found that it can be because the cat is someway stressed.
So she's using something similar to a mosquito repelant, but made of hormones. She plugs it and the cat, surprinsingly, starts to be calmer and doesn't piss anywhere, just on its sand.

Oh yeah! found it!

of course the cat is stressed, to the max. A 2year old and an 8 year old terrorize that thing hourly. I chase it with various RC devices (cars, helicopters) and, to be honest, just chase it around the house because it's afraid of me. It's not all doom and gloom for the :meow though. It gets plenty of love too...and it's stay alive card is the kids. They love it.

I need a dog.
