We left at midnight and forgot we rode our bikes, It's been sooooo long since I have ridden a bike after midnight, Had to use my cell phone light to see the bike path on the way home all 8 miles. You can actually get a DUI on a bicycle. Beer thread, I'll list my usual favorites I guess Three Philosophers Maudite Terrible Trois Pistoles Blue Paw So yeah I guess I'm heavy on Unibroue and Ommegang for breweries. When I get back to PA I intend to get out to Cooperstown and get to Ommegang brewery, take their tour, taste beer at the end, and they have a restaurant on site. Should make for a nice day out someday. |

Had two people get popped in my county last year. Hell and that is only what made the news, probably happens more than we would think! They are still a danger to themselves and others. |

This happens quite often in my town... I've seen lawnmowers, rascal scooters, and a couple razer scooters in a drive thru before. I see lawn mowers, and tractors driving on the road very often. Edited by ilivas, Aug 29 2012, 02:33 PM.

Tried out the Sam Adams Imperial White this weekend. Its alright, it sits at 10.3%. Not sure if I'd pick it up again or not, probably just keep trying new stuff. |

I LOVE HOPS.......... maybe thats why i love IPA so much. does it really give the beer extra flower flavor? |

Hoppy beers are the best!! It might it might not but i will still send you some fresh hops to experiment with. I think its called dry hopping when they brew, they leave the hops in for several days. Edited by smith2823, Sep 9 2012, 12:08 AM.

dry hopping is when the hops are added before packaging. Hops add bitterness/aroma to beer...which varies on the type of hops/how much you add/and when you add it. Dry hopping doesn't add a lot of flavor, but does a good amount of aroma, which can help you to believe the beer is much more bitter than it is. The essential part of the hop is the oils. The more time extracting the oils, the more "hoppy" your beer. Sierra Nevada Torpedo gets its name from shooting the beer through a Torpedo shaped container full of hops (dry hopping) before it finishes it's brewing process. I had some Black Pepper beer last friday (and some other, not so good beers), as we were trying fruit/vegetable adjunct beers at work. Meaning they were traditionally brewed as a beer, but used a fruit/veg adjunct. Unlike a Lambic, which is brewed...well...as a Lambic. Anyway, it was Furthermore "Knot Stock". it was well bodied and had a very good pepper finish. It would be great with a steak/meat cheese tray. Wouldn't be able to drink a lot of them...but easy enough to pair. I would suggest to anyone here to buy Leinenkugel's Big Eddy series. It's the more serious craft of the brand family. Their IPA is good enough, although a bit heavy on the citrus (especially grapefruit). The Russian Imperial Stout (as most RIS's) is effing delicious. black, complex, a balanced amount of chocolate flavor...it's really damn good. The Scotch Ale is tasty as well. Give them a shot. I think they just released their Porter (it's all seasonal). Edited by sick_role, Oct 1 2012, 09:46 AM.
