I'm not sure how many in here even look at double din head units, but any decent looking ones, preferably under $200? I want to go cheap but also sound/look good. I'm thinking the truck might get one 10" woofer also, I kind of miss some bass, but don't want it to be annoyingly loud, I'm thinking one 10" would be about perfect? I've been out of the car audio scene for years, I mean the Camaro just has an Alpine deck with USB port on the front I got for $60 and a pair of Alpine type S speakers I snagged for $50 shipped so it by no means has anything amazing sounding. As the truck is likely to almost become the daily driver or will become so, well I'm thinking a nice stereo is in order. After all I can turn the music off as I approach home, but not a loud exhaust system.

Well I don't want one of those bass tubes I don't think, just a regular 10" sub in a small box. I don't want the panels rattling off the truck but I do miss having a little bass in the music. If I could pull it off in a 6x9 speaker I could go that route too. |

I have this one. http://www.amazon.com/Pioneer-AVH-P4400BH-Multimedia-Widescreen-Bluetooth/dp/B006Y441L0/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1355530165&sr=8-1&keywords=avh-p4400bh It works with your iphone too so your music will display on the screen. It will play netflix through your phone, as well as other apps like pandora. Oh, and your iphone GPS nav app will display on your screen, and turn by turn directions go over the speakers. |

DIN refers to the height of the head unit, a lot of GM vehicles need double DIN if you want to fill in the space and not look goofy, if I get a smaller unit it will have a lot of space going on, it will look really tiny and kind of ridiculous. That one is awesome Ilivas, just quite a bit out of budget at the moment. Pretty sweet features though! |
