It seems the unusually hot summer has somehow encouraged Romans to marry. As the heat wave finally broke, the Claudii found themselves in a marriage with Marcus Aemilius, a rising star in Rome's political circles. Meanwhile Galerius Antonius has found friends among the Livii, and taken Decima Livia as his wife. Quite a prize considering her grandfather's protectiveness. Finally, the Flavii and Marii have announced an alliance through the marriage of Amulius Flavius and Gaia Flavia (nee Maria), which has all of Rome chattering about the implications on the power balance in the Senate.
