Rumors allege that members of the Septim branch of the gens Valeria have established a trade network with the "Mad King Epiroticus" in Rhaetia and Noricum. The three members of the family based out of the most northern Roman city of Trinitana travelled there and after meeting with Epiroticus V was able to acquire a lucrative deal that sends many goods to Septimiana and from there to Roma. Many scoff at the idea since it would be a clear violation of the sacred Senatorial ban placed on any and all communication with the kingdom and still others feel that surely no group of two sisters and a brother from a family branch with no social standing in Roma herself could achieve something like this. While many debate the merits and even possible re-examination of the ban and even of the truth of this network one thing is for certain; the publicans collecting taxes have noticed an increase in taxable wealth in parts of Septimiana and a few swore they saw a blacksmith selling Noric steel on the side.
