Word has reached Roma that there is unrest in the province of Macedonia as the traitor and rebel leader Spurius Hirtius Macedonicus Minor has appeared and has been finding popular support amongst the old veterans of his father. It would seem after his ill fated attempt at seizing Africa failed in abject failure he was able to make his way where he is closer to his ally Decimus Titianus Carnifex and his impressive host. Though the local magistrates claim they have the situation under control some question the truth of their statements, alleging either they do not fully understand the brevity of the situation, are outright lying...or worst have joined with Macedonicus himself and are aiding him in any way. Also recently reported sighted was the well known Hirtian rebel, Hirrius Vallentinus and Macedonicus' younger brother Gaius Hirtius Macedonicus. Whatever the case this is still news which should worry many, that despite Macedonicus' clear inability to command an army his name alone is able to rally men to his cause though the most optimistic who hear of this news claim that Carnifex is the true danger, all Macedonicus can raise is a couple legions of old, pot bellied men in their 50s or a legions of boys barely able to grow their first beard. This is hardly an army to fear. Still it remains to be seen what is really going on in Macedonia and if the chaos will spread further. Edited by Ira Ivnonis, Apr 15 2014, 09:37 AM.
