Newly elected Praetor of Sicilia, Tacitus Cassius reports that there is no apparent consequence to Gaius Licinius leaving the island early at the conclusion if his term. Thankfully Marcus Livius maintained immaculate records and maintained order in the praetor's absence. Though much had been done by the previous Praetor to improve living conditions in Syracusae, his reputation with the locals remains neutral as he seemed to simply do the bidding of more influential people in Roma.
