Several poor plebians and proles have been commenting that Amulius Flavius, son of the paterfamilias of the Etruscan branch of the family, has been ordering his clientes and other family supporters to refer to him as "Flavius Stenius," which is an honorific adopted from his mother, Stenia Flavia. Many Romans wonder whether this symbolizes a split with his father, who has thusfar steadfastly held on to the Flavius nomen as his only identifier.
