Good, she had definitely caught on to his little joke. That was one of the many things he loved about her. Mandy would go along with everything, wouldn't judge him for anything. It was fantastic and it was what had drawn him to her in the first place. Of course, these were the kinds of things he wrote in the letters to her, not said out loud. Spoken words would ruin the friendship he'd built with her and that was something he'd never forsake for anything.

"What about you? Any crazy stories or fun trips that I haven't already heard about?" He smiled up at her, his head tilting to the side as he finally let go of her hair. Class would be starting shortly and she looked as if she was going to fall asleep because of it. He moved and rested his arm on her leg instead, his eyes watching her face carefully.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Scott watched as if everything was going in slow motion. He expected a swift hit in retaliation for his cruel words and he'd meant them to be cruel. Sebastian was entertaining to a point but Scott was frustrated by his constant nagging and the fact that he was crushing on this idiot.
The vice's actions definitely took him by surprise though. Instead of the sting he expected to feel on his face, there was a soft, wetness against his lips. It took his mind a little bit to figure out that Sebastian, the vice president and the biggest member of the 'I hate Scott' club was actually and willingly kissing him.
He moved his hands to wrap them around the shorter guy's waist but he moved too quickly out of his reach, leaving a very confused yet intrigued Scott. Damn, the kid had definitely gotten his attention with that little stunt and promise. Now he was actually somewhat inclined to go to class. The problem was, as much as he was an ass, could he realistically let Sebastian reward him like this just to get him to class? Yeah...that would be interesting.
He grabbed his bag and slung it over his shoulder. "Trial basis here short stuff. No promises." Like hell he was going to let him go like that.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~

She ran her hand through her hair, trying to figure out the point of his question. It sounded like a casual 'what are you going to be up to this weekend' sort of thing but of course, she was reading into it a bit. He could mean a lot of different things by it but that would be silly. Sienna was almost a hundred percent sure he had no interest in her past being friends.

"Oh not much. Just the usual, you know? Pretty boring really. Probably nothing as exciting as what you have planned." She smiled at him as she fixed her hair, trying to be nonchalant about everything. Yeah, it was just a friends thing. No need for her to get nervous about it after all.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~
He was in the middle of trying to calm himself down when he heard someone calling out to him. He breathed a sigh of relief when he noticed the amazing Owen show up out of the blue. Eli had no idea how he had shown up at such a time but he was thankful.
The other boy didn't leave him much of a chance to speak which was a surprise. It was nice not to have to talk much though because he was liable to break out into hysterics at the whole situation. As it was, he still had tears escaping down his cheeks. He wiped at them again as Owen looked at him.
Eli nodded, finding it hard to see Owen through the water pooling in his eyes. "T-that might be a good idea. Thank you Owen." He choked out the words, annoyed at his own pathetic state. This was definitely not the way he wanted Owen to find him but he was glad it had been Owen who found him. His mind was very disagreeable today.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~

It was her turn to tilt her head to the side slightly. Now, she knew Tyler wasn't the greatest student otherwise she would have heard his name much more often but she didn't peg him for a skipper. That would just not do.

"I distinctly remember your name being on the class roster. Are you not going to come to class?" She didn't realize it but her lip had jutted out slightly, forming a small pout on her glossed lips. Ada often pouted without realizing it, especially when things didn't go her way or she didn't understand things.

She held the pile of papers tight to her chest, hugging them effectively as she looked up at him through her long, dark eyelashes.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~
His hopes jumped a bit when she reached out and brushed some of his hair from his face. Then those hopes were dashed quite effectively. Cut into pieces, scattered on the ground then run over with a cement truck or three. Yeah, she was good at that.
Mates. Awesome. This was just as bad as the summer when she'd added him to her friends list. How fun. Shit. This sucked. "I'm good...mate...yeah. Uh I've got history. Great way to start the day, everyday. I think it will be my sleeper class." That was a lie. Zach went to every class and worked hard to keep his marks up. He wanted every opportunity possible for him when he graduated.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~

He listened intently, finding her fairly interesting. "Same here. I babysat my kid brother a lot since my sister moved out at the end of school last year. Mom was out working most of the summer so it was just me and Ben, the troublesome duo. Except for the few days I was able to pawn him off on Ada."

It wasn't exactly common knowledge that he knew Ada or that his brother was good friends with her siblings but it wasn't some sort of close kept secret either. The younger three had gone to school together since preschool now so they had gotten pretty close. Thankfully the devils hadn't rubbed off on Ben too badly yet.

"When I didn't have Ben, I spent my time playing some video games and hanging out with a few buddies from middle school that I haven't seen in years."

“Seems good then.” Sebastian muttered looking back up at him with a small smile and lead him towards class, getting through the students was something indeed. The halls were still crowded with students giving the ‘yay I get to see you but school started aweh damn’ greetings. Sebastian was never really close to people beside Aida so he didn’t usually go through this kind of thing with other students.

It had been difficult for Sebastian to adapt to American culture after all, going to an all boys boarding school in England to a co-ed high school in America was two completely different things and making friends was difficult when you jumped into the schooling during the second semester of grade ten.

-------

Archie scratched the back of his head and laughed nervously. “Like, I mean a date...me and you, alone with no one else there... movies and dinner or something?” He smiled softly at her and kicked his feet a bit, he couldn’t actually look her in the face though. Archie really hoped he wasn’t going to be rejected by the girl he had a crush on for the longest time.

“I mean if you’re not interested...that’s cool...well actually it’s really not...that would suck on my part. I mean... I’m totally head over heels over here for you... been for a while, maybe I’m blabbering.” He said and laughed again. “I’ll just....”

----

“Well... you were a good mate.” She muttered and walked with him towards class. It wasn’t hard moving through people for Blair before, but without heels and being rather short she had to squeeze through now. She even got knocked back into Zach. “Shit.. sorry.” She muttered, her hands clutching his shirt a bit as she steadied herself. “I mean... “ She looked up at him, she just couldn’t help herself.

She reached up and pulled him down by the collar of his shirt and pressed her lips to the corner of his lips and then fully on them. “past tense, were a good mate. Until I started fancying you.” She let go and tried to slip away from him. Embarrassed and fearing rejection.

----
Owen carried him to the nurse’s office, not caring if he had to push people out of the way to do so. “It’s okay.” He muttered softly, just loud enough for Eli to hear him. Maybe it was just Owen but he really enjoyed helping Eli and the look upon Eli’s face when he was helpless like this it just made Owen fall even more for the boy in his arms.

He placed a kiss on Eli’s head and sighed softly as they opened the door to the small office. “Miss Pomegranate?” he called inside the room and a thin mousy haired woman looked up from her desk.

She looked like she was in her mid twenties but Owen knew better then that, she was about thirty five and thin brown haired with big blue eyes. “Oh hello Owen...oh no, has Eli fallen again?” she asked as she got up from the cluttered desk and over to the two of him. “Sit him down over there and I’ll get the kit.”

“I know a couple of those!” Gabriel clapped his hands together in excitement, now he could go and learn the guitar and vocals and then sing them to him! He mentally noted it for later and pushed the thought aside as he stared at those curled lips. It was something like a smile, but it captivated him even if it was just a curl at the sides of his mouth. “You should actually smile sometimes, I bet you look really handsome when you do...” he muttered and shook his head, realizing what he said. “Not saying you don’t look handsome now, because you totally do! I mean... what I meant was... oh dear.” He looked away now with a hand over his mouth.

------

Sergio took a desk close to Prosper and pulled out his sketch book. Obviously the kid didn’t want to talk to him, which was understandable...he still had Henry’s face. He could see the fear in the boy’s face. “Mi Dispiace...” He muttered not looking at the boy now, though he was really...really attractive. He couldn’t help it but glance up a couple times as he doodled a rendition of the boy on a blank sheet inside his book.

“If it helps any... my name is Sergio Gianfranco.” He said and offered the other boy a hand, to shake on it...right, that was the American custom...wasn’t it?

She outwardly pouted at him when he stopped playing with her hair, but whatever. It's not like you could just go up to your friend and say "Hey you. Play with my hair." or go "Why the crap did you stop playing with my hair?" It was just a little weird. She kept her head leaning on her hand but shift slightly so she was looking at him more head on than having a tilted view. "Hmmm, went to the beach with friends. Hung out with people and partied...so nothing really out of the ordinary."

Mandy glanced over at his arm on her leg and smiled a bit. Close contact, it was something she craved and when you became friends with Mandy you had better be ready for a lot of physical contact. She actually reached and slipped her hand into his, lacing their fingers together, just to hold his hand. He hand nice hands-bigger and stronger than her own and she kind of just loved to compare them to her own for some reason. Mandy was weird okay.

Then she remembered something else that happened over the summer that might impact the future. "I broke up with my boyfriend about a week ago." She wasn't really that torn up about it. Had actually forgotten until just now if we were being honest.

----

He watched her...ridiculously pretty lips...wait what? Whatever, she was pouting now and it was so damn cute. How had he not paid more attention to this girl earlier. Sure, he was a grade higher than her and half of his classes were open so he didn't have to work that hard, but she was in the halls and during assemblies, he could have been watching her-uncreepily mind you-and seen how prettyshe was before now. Seriously, that pout was just unfair.

He figured seeing as she had this magic ability to know everything like class rosters, he might as well be honest with her. "As a matter of fact Prez, I hadn't planned on going. I was going to go sit in the caf and listen to music, maybe read a book or play on my game boy." He grinned at her and made to move around her. He'd wasted enough time here that his time wasting in the cafeteria was being cut short.

----

"Oh? You friends with the president or is it more of parents are friends so we kinda sorta hang but not really?" Social circles and how people interacted with each other were things that had always sparked an interest in Leah. She fiured that's why she could handle people ranting, venting and generally speaking at her if she was playing with their hair or doing their nails. She could focus on something then listen to the person. She didn't necessarily gossip, but hearing things was always interesting.

----

Topher's lips turned upwards slightly, giving him more of a smirk than a smile but it was close. Gabe was being...really cute. He was acting like a school girl kinda and Topher wasn't going to complain at all. If he could get Gabe flustered like this more often, he'd be happy. Hell, he was happy with Gabe just talking and smiling at him. "We'll see. I guess I just smile around the people I like." It was true, he really only smiled around Mandy and now Gabe. Everyone else either had to work really hard to get him to smile or had just given up so he didn't try to smile around them anymore. He didn't even really smile around his family. He just constantly had this bored, neutral expression on his face.

----

He was still talking to him...what was Prop going to do? He took a few deep breaths. After calming himself down and focusing on the fact that this guy had a completely different voice and name he shifted slightly to face him and took the offered hand. Prosper was still a little cautious but he shook Sergio's hand and gave him a small and timid but friendly smile. "Prosper Jackson."

They were holding hands and she was smiling at him and she had just told him she'd broken up with her boyfriend recently. Alright, school wasn't so bad now. This was one of the best days to date actually. The only thing that would ever beat it would be if they ever started dating or if they kissed or if they went on an actual date. Okay, there were a lot of things that could beat it but he was still enjoying it.

"Really? Why? I mean, that sucks and all. Anything I can do to make you feel better about it?" He was the break up clean up crew when it came to Mandy after all. Whenever she broke up with someone, he tried to do something for her, even if it was just writing her a letter and sticking it in her locker as a surprise. Or getting her her favourite flowers.

It was hard to keep the excitement from his face. Theo hadn't been a huge fan of her previous boyfriend to begin with. Not because he liked her either. He wasn't always that shallow.

----

Scott ran his free hand through his hair, heaving a sigh. His other hand twitched around the strap of his bag. Was he seriously thinking of holding Sebastian's hand? Crushes were stupid. And what a lame want, seriously. Ever since that kiss though his mind had been running rather rampant with thoughts of him and Sebastian doing various dating type things. It was not cool especially for the fact that he found his thoughts rather enjoyable. Now he was going to be miserable for the sake of being miserable.

While he had been chastising himself mentally, his hand had taken on it's own prerogative. The backpack was left to it's own devices as he felt his hand reaching out to grab onto Sebastian's. Scott grabbed his hand, a look of confusion flashing across his face for only a moment.

"Come on vice prez. It's just a hallway full of students. Just push them out of the way, like this." The dark haired, tattooed teen took the lead at this point and began making the students move out of their way.

----

No way. Archie was just kidding, right? Some sort of joke? This was so not a possibility. Sienna laughed nervously, backing off slightly. No, he just meant as friends. A date as friends. She'd just ignore that second part until she could actually figure out what he meant. "Oh! You mean hang out? I'd love to. I mean, we only really hang out here and it always smells a little bit too much like sweat. Beating each other up all the time isn't the best way to become good friends either." She smiled at him, trying to ease away her nervousness.

It felt a bit better not to have rejected him though. Of course she didn't just want to be friends but it was better than nothing. And this allowed her to have more time with Archie and that was always a benefit.

"Any movie you want to see? Or there's a wrestling competition in town this weekend if you want? My dad can get us tickets. I think some of the guys from the team are going to check it out too."

----

Eli avoided looking at anyone as long as possible. The school nurse had seen him a lot last year, enough for her to call home to his parents despite his begging her not to. His parents had been concerned but as usual he was able to convince them everything at school was fine, that they had just been rough housing for fun.

Now he was here, on the first day of school because of his own clumsiness. At least he wasn't crying as much now. He wiped at his face once again, wiping the last of the tears from his face. The kiss on the forehead had sobered him up a bit and he quickly glanced at his saviour. Owen Kalju, one of the nicest, sweetest and cutest guys in school. The very guy Eli had been crushing on since last year. Why was he here, carrying him while the nurse grabbed her tools? Surely he had better things to do than take care of him.

"T-thank you Owen...I'm okay now...y-you can set me down..." His face was rather red from all the close contact and he could feel his heart going a million times a minute. He was going to get dizzy if they stayed this close much longer.

----

"That won't do at all!" Ada frowned slightly and reached out to take his hand as he tried to step around her. If he was so intent on skipping then she would drag him to class. Literally. She was stronger than she looked after all.

"If you're going to skip, at least come up with a better reason. Say you're going to study in the library or something." She shook her head and smiled up at him. Before he had a chance to reply, she turned and pulled him after her in the direction of their first class.

"It's always important to go to the very first class. It sets a precedence with the teacher as to what kind of student you're going to be for the entire year. If you miss the first class then the teacher will assume you're going to be a problem student and pick on you much more."

----

He was shocked at first but moved into the kiss a second later, coming back with a stupid look on his face. "Yeah....fancy...awesome...." There was a dreaminess to his voice as he spoke, his eyes looking off in the distance. He couldn't even feel her slip away until a student passed between them. Zach suddenly reached out and gently took her hand to pull her back to him.

"Look...we're friends...right? You just broke up with a guy recently and I'm way too much of an ass to get into this. I have too much baggage Blair." He felt terrible for telling her since he really wanted the opposite but he'd liked her for too long at this point. He knew the kind of guys she dated and he was the exact same as all them. Zach couldn't and wouldn't let her go through that again, especially not with him.

"But...." He was pausing, going back on everything he had convinced himself of previously. One date wouldn't hurt, right? "Go on a date with me?" Zach could just act like his normal self and she'd be turned off completely, surely. Then they could go back to being friends and everything would be solved all in one go. And he'd get a really nice meal or something out of it.

----

He smiled at her, sniffling for a moment. "I suppose we're friends. We more so know each other because of our younger siblings. She has two little siblings, twins. Often referred to as the terrible duo or the devil twins. They like to pull pranks and sometimes rope Ben in to helping them out unfortunately. Still, he's a good kid regardless." Landon glanced down at his desk and took a deep breath.

"Oh my god! I can breathe out of both sides of my nose! It feels sooo much better." How he had missed that ability for the past few days. It meant he was on the mend hopefully too. Summer colds sucked majorly and he wasn't a fan of them in the least.

Sebastian glanced back at Scott, he looked upset with himself and he noted the obvious pink shade to his pale features. Adorable. He didn’t put much thought into it for now though he just continued to lead him to class, then realizing how bloody busy it got he grabbed onto Scott’s hand.

“Better make sure you actually come with me instead of ditch me in the crowd.” He said, was that an excuse for doing what he was doing? Maybe, but again...he didn’t want to put much thought into it.

“You don’t have to be so pushy either Scott.” He muttered and slipped them through a bunch of tenth years.

--

“Well..I was just thinking...the two of us, alone kinda...thing ya know. Like.. a date, something people do when...well they like each other kinda?” He was babbling, Archie shut up you are totally babbling! Mandy warned your ass about this. He sighed softly and dropped his head in defeat. “Unless...you don’t want to, I mean well I like you and well if I’m not your type then.” He muttered.

Wait...did she just ask him the movie he wanted to see? he looked up. “So you do?... well I wanted to see the Dark Knight or something like that but I also saw that there were a couple other movies out there too.. depends on what movie genre you like?” he was blabbering again wasn’t he?

--
Gabriel blushed darker now “p-people you like?” he repeated, but as the obvious southern farm boy he was, he brushed it over and didn’t truly get the point of the statement. “alright..well I’m glad you like me then!” He gave Topher a toothy grin. “I really like that smirky smile ya got there, Topher.” He admitted moving slightly closer to the darker haired boy. “but you should scadattle, class is gonna start and we ain’t wantin’ ya late, ya know.” He said putting his hand on the other’s leg without realizing.

==
“I like that name, Prosper.” He said giving a sheepish smile in return. “Almost like it’s out of the thief lord, a book I use to read as a kid... the main character’s name was Prosper, Prop for short.” He muttered and retracted the hand after the very gentle shake he gave. “s-sorry for bugging you.” He said looking around for a seat to take as students began to make their way into the room. “c-can I sit here?” he asked as he motioned to the seat across from him.

--
Owen smiles softly at Eli as he slowly put him down on the cot in the nurse’s office, but he put his hand on Eli’s afterwards. “...not to seem creepy.” Owen began, yes... Owen you are totally creepy as you watch him get bullied by his so called friends. “But, I see you get pushed around by those kids a lot, from my perch.” Wow, you sound like a hawk, god you are a fool. He sighed and bit his lip as he tried to tell his mind to shut up for once. “Honestly... if they lay another finger on you. I will break their noses. You don’t deserve that.”

--

Okay, this was the point where if Blair was in the privacy of her own room she'd be dancing around like a crazy maniac singing na na na na told you he liked me Demi you were so wrong! HA HA HA HA~ but because she was in public and the daughter of the city and the state's most profitable bank, she had to store that in her... okay she blew it because she full on grinned up at him and whipped her eyes slightly and started laughing. "C-Course I want to, ya dolt!" She said and grabbed his hand and kissed it. "W-Why wouldn't a lass like me like a lad like you, you're not that much of a douche bag and as I quote, I want baggage that goes with mine..." she said and pulled him into a hug, she was small so her head rested on his chest than his shoulder or anywhere close to it but, she didn't care.

"I'd love to. don't forget that."

And of course, here came good old Theo, right there to make her feel better. Hell, she didn't even need it. She didn't get dumped this time...well she normally didn't, usually she was the one breaking it off, but sometimes she felt like it had been a bad idea. But this time, she was glad to be rid of her latest guy. He was weird...But that didn't mean she didn't want comfort. She'd take Theo comfort any day of the week. That meant movies and junk food and going for a walk or something. Really just hanging out but really, she wouldn't trade it for the world. She'd milk it for all that she could...did that make her a bad person? Wanting to spend as much time with one of her best friends/on and off crush?

"Hang out with me after school? Maybe we could pop buy the convenience store and grab some ice cream and watch a couple movies or something?" It seemed like an okay thing to do. She could do it all the time if it was just with him. The bell was going to ring soon though so she hopped off his desk and sat at the desk beside him but kept his hand in hers. Nothing like close contact, right?

----

"What?" Being turned and pulled in a completely different direction from where he was going was an unexpected turn of events. What was this girl doing? Did she think she had the right to just take him to class? Though...her hands were soft and holding the hand of a pretty girl didn't really bother him...that much. But he still didn't want to go to class, so he begrudgingly followed and sulked as she dragged him to class. Next time he wanted to skip, he'd have to go another route and avoid this girl like the plague. "See, Prez, I don't think you understand. I don't care about going to said class, therefore I don't care what the teacher thinks of me." The teacher could think of him as gum under the desk, which a lot already did. He didn't exactly have the best track record for attendance and grades. But he still wouldn't care.

----

Well, if he was anything like his older brother, Leah couldn't see anything wrong with this Ben kid. She rather liked Landon. He was pretty cool, even while he was sick. Though when he exclaimed about being able to finally breathe, Leah couldn't help but snort and laugh at him. Who actually yelled out something like that? No one normal that was for sure. "You're such a dork." She laughed again and smiled over at him. He was cute though, even if he was a dork.

"Ben sounds like fun, maybe we should get him and Casey over to the park for a meet and greet kind of thing?" Casey loved making new friends and maybe this could get Leah and Landon closer as friends. It was always nice to have friends. Normally when you didn't talk much like she did, you didn't get a hole bunch of friends. She had enough, but most of them were made through the friends she already had. She hadn't gone out and made the innitiative to make them herself.

----

Of course he liked Gabe. Really, what wasn't there to like about him? Contrary to popular belief, Topher was actually drawn to boisterous, outgoing, bubbly people. Just look at his best and longuest friend, Mandy Graceland. He may have a surely/bored/neutral exterior, but he was generally a happy person. He just didn't like showing it. The hand on his leg was making him especially happy. If Gabe was okay with being this close to him, that meant he wasn't doing anything wrong or anything to bug the older guy, which was always a plus. Though, he did have a point. Topher's class was all the way on the other side of the school, so he should get going, didn't want to be late after all...but he didn't want to leave either...but he didn't want to have to run. So he'd leave...he guessed. "Alright, but I was wondering, do you wanna hang out after
school? Or do you have that band thing?"

----

Funnily enough, that's kind of where he'd gotten it. He had watched the movie when he was younger and had always liked the names Prosper. So he adopted the name and became Prop Jackson. He smiled a bit back at Sergio and shook his head back and forth. "Go ahead. I don't mind. And if you want, you can call me Prop. It's a lot easier than saying Prosper each time." He wasn't really bugging Prop and now that they'd started talking, he was starting to get over the resemblance with Henry. Besidse, this was a free country after all, you were allowed to sit wherever you liked as long as the teacher was cool with it. It's not like he could say no and this guy, who was quite a bit bigger than Prop himself, would take it and trudge off to another seat. This guy seemed nice enough though, so it's not like Prop would have to say that anyway. "How long have you been doing art?"
