I fucking love propositional logic. This shit is awesome
C and teensy bit of C++ for my Intro to CS unit, and Matlab for my Math unit.
I knew it! I saw your loop and function and thought of Matlab immediately haha.
That program is the bane of my existence, anon There are some things that C and Matlab share in common but the meanings are totally different and I get so mixed up. It happened with the semi-colon. In C, it's a syntax rule used at the end of every declared statement, while in Matlab, it's used to suppress output. I ended up putting semi-colons after every statement in Matlab and for the longest time I was confused as to why the answer wasn't displaying in the command window T_T This is weird coming from an IT student, but I honestly prefer the manual working than the program working when it comes to math. ><
Haha I know that feel, there was a time that I had to work with 3 different languages (java, matlab and eviews) in one semester and god all the different syntaxes .
I actually like Matlab more if it comes to math (especially if I have to work with big matrices).

Dang, I'm still stuck with C. I can't wait to delve more into C++ or even C# and learn Java, and I hope that we try out Python as well. Anyways, I'm turning in for the night.
I try to do that every now and then, screen cap it and save them on my laptop, it's pretty hard sometimes.
So you do it on purpose? Ppl could find that weird but unless you are harming someone who cares when, how why ppl post? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ How many times have you been able to complete?

Just three But I'm working on it, I still have to unlock the SGSD Feed thread mission

LOL Now that's dedication, I find it cute and posting once in different threads is not annoying like post whoring on the same one.
An exceptionally emotional results day. Damned numbers straining friendships. Damned pride. Damned competition. So our myopic dreams are at stake, but this is hardly the end of the line. Why are we letting this consume us?

i'm sorry you're dealing with so much stress. Our education system is a bit different here, but I can empathize at least somewhat: I was in an international academic program and went to a very competitive high school. There were certain times during the year - when they'd distribute class ranking - and it felt like all your worth as a person was put on some teeny tiny number. Things were rough then; you had people glare at you for having a better rank than them, and classmates would spend more time finding ways to outdo each other in assignments; behind coy smiles, everyone secretly wanted the other person to trip and fall on their face - to crack under the pressure.
I think it's actually illegal for a school faculty member to do this (and I can't be sure it was one) but the students in my class had a secret website where various test scores were posted and made public. It was so embarrassing sometimes, I hated it so much. The teachers I think knew about it but it was the elephant in the room, no one talked about it (presumably because it'd get them in trouble since it's illegal or at least against public school policy).
When May came around and program exams came up, we were all under so much stress I don't even know how to describe it. By then, competitiveness had worn us all out though. I'm not sure how your exam scores are administered or how it relates to the scores of your peers, but just remember that your worth isn't based on your relative grades.
We all managed though, and most of us are doing ok; you'll get through this. Took me a long time to realize, but it's all temporary. Luckily, you seem a lot less passive and complacent in approach than I was in high school, so you're for sure going to be alright. Just know your limits and remind yourself that they're there and it's ok to have them.
Hang in there
wow o_o was it to make fun of ppl or to set new "targets"? jfc I'm sorry you two had/have to go through this =/ planck hang in there
so i'm doing this survey for my intercultural communication class, if you girls could fill it out i'd be really appreciated

Gender: Age: Ethnicity (optional):
1. What would be the one stereotype of Latin Americans?
2. What events, activities or lifestyles describe/reflect Latin American Culture?
3. Name at least one public figure amongst Latin Americans and one word you would use to describe them.
Thank you for your participation in our survey!!!
thingy
Gender: Woman Age: 19 Ethnicity: (i'm not really sure how to answer this - what are you looking for exactly? Something vague? Something specific? My country conflates race with ethnicity, and the specifics regarding these categories are super unhelpful and outdated so I have a hard time understanding what the question actually means. Any clarification would be great )
1) ~Awesome dancers~ 2) cuisine is a pretty identifying factor, culturally. 3) Shakira - rabiooooosa (but seriously, probably um..."hair")
@GG: it was meant to be used as a tool to see where you stand in relation to peers. But it's easy to see how cruel it is to have your scores made for the world to see. Can't be sure it was a faculty member doing it (most people thought that) but we did have a couple of students whose parents were teachers and could potentially get access to specific subject grades. These grades were just normal test grades, they were not our actual yearly exams (AP, IB or otherwise) or SAT/ACT scores or anything.
@Bunny what public is this survey intended for? O_o @OG I absolutely love that gif set thank you so much!
about the leaked info, it's abusive in every way. people should have their privacy, even if those ae not final tests; I believe its cruelty resides, though, in what you just mentioned before: it is a way of reducing people to scores. I don't know what is the most worrying possiblity: an adult organizing such scheme or a teenage. this fact also reminds me that in the "real world" we are also mostly seen as numbers, not people ._.

umm like what ethnicity do you consider yourself to be? it could be based on your parents/ancestors or... sorry I can't really explain this well

It's ok
Well my mom grew up in like...northish Spain, and we still retain a lot of what that culture encompasses at home. US is kinda weird in that we don't have a well defined and overarching culture other than superficial stuff; my experiences are gonna be totally different than Joe Schmoe next door lol But for the purposes of your survey, I guess just Castilian-American??? Racially i'm white tho. I hope this is ok for your survey.
1. What would be the one stereotype of Latin Americans? Depends on the location. Most people I know think of drug cartels and other illegal trafficking when they think of Mexico, while they would think of parades and flamboyance if they thought of Brazil, so those stereotypes of the country would reflect on anyone who was from those places.
2. What events, activities or lifestyles describe/reflect Latin American Culture? Um, cultural festivals and the cuisine, mostly. I'd say flamboyance is pretty rife.
3. Name at least one public figure amongst Latin Americans and one word you would use to describe them. Does Ricky Martin count? Because Ricky Martin, and "artist".

I don't know much, 'cause I'm not American, so...
Ricky Martin does indeed count as Latin American, assuming by LA they mean people from the Americas whose ancestry is Latin but even if they mean LA as an US citizen of Latin ancestry he fits the bill as a US citizen.
Cackling at "Latin American Culture" though, what is that? That's like saying Asian culture. Sure there may be some global commonality but as a whole they are so different. I was once told a story of a bus full of Latin Americans of different countries and a fight almost erupted when the Mexicans called the Venezuelans a word that in Mexico has a good connotation apparently but in Venezuela is the opposite. The leaders of each group had to get in between them and explain how the Mexicans were actually praising the Venezuelans and not insulting them.

Yeah... South America is a whole continent, with a wide variety of people who could be considered Latin American.

I didn't say otherwise? Most countries of the Americas are Latin American thanks to Spain colonizing much of it and even those who aren't Latin American do have a good contingent in the country.

Oh, I know, I was agreeing with you. Sorry if it didn't sound like that.

All these damn terms can be a bitch though especially when people use them interchangeably when they aren't like thinking all Latin Americans are Latino/Hispanic, they aren't. Like Brazilians who are Latin American (Portugal) but not Latino/Hispanic (Spain).

It sounds kinda like the "All Eastern Asian = China" syndrome. God, that annoys me to no end.

Yes, it's embarrassing because they are all quite different and just like in Asia there are stereotypes, clashes and prejudices between countries.
It's like saying all British are English even if they come from Wales for example.
Speaking of England, I am still "saddened" at the first born being male; after the change in laws how momentous it would have been for the first born to be female. The first female heir with full birthright to the throne, now we have to hope his first born is female.

Definitely! Anyone who knows anything about Asia will know how fragmented the countries were, especially in regards to Japan and its relation with neighbours.
Yeah, I'm disappointed, I guess. I'm used to having a Queen and I'd like to have another one in my lifetime.

Oh yes, Japan has a millennial conflict with China and Korea is no better.
Abdication or death is the only way that would happen and of course the first born would have to be female, if its male again no dice.
