I've tried.. I don't have a second sitting/sun room anymore and I can't have two completely different couch sets (btw Couch has younger siblings Arms 1 & 2) in the same living/lounge room. It would be aesthetically tragic. That he will.. I'll just have to content myself with the knowledge that he's going to a better place now, one where he will be needed and can fulfill his destiny. It's just hard to let go. Bunny what are they up to? |

You can mix and match styles so that's not really a concern unless you have no idea how to. Oh well, couch will move on.

I don't think it's gonna happen But you could suggest a new paint colour if you'd like. Couch won't even miss me.

It's ironic because all my friends complain that Couch is really uncomfortable. I'm going to sleep on him tonight just because.

That one is easy, you get throw pillows following Couch's pattern while you get throw pillows matching Gianc for Couch and get other similar share accessories. Both couches share the cream-beige-brown palate so a color palate based on that or paint the opposite to bring out the muted color so a blue palate. Another even easier solution would be to cover up Couch with similar color to Gianc, the fact the styles are different won't be jarring if they are the same color. Color would depend on what you like, other furniture in the place you want to paint and colors in the other rooms. It's been 17 years, I'm sure Couch will. |

Thanks for the help anon! Are you an interior designer per chance? I've just had a chat with friends and I'm okay with letting him go now.. I really don't have much room/use for two couches + armchairs and someone actually needs one so. About the colours, I'm fond of this palette atm. The other rooms aren't consequential, I got lazy and painted everything white, my place looks like a gallery rn, or an asylum. |

Donut worry, when i lived in QLD I bought an $40 fouton from the salvos and pushed it home on it's teeny tiny wheels. Turned my carport into an entertainment area with that majestic piece of furniture, it was hard to say goodbye. Spoiler: click to toggle

I don't have higher educations studies of ID but I've always been interested in the subject so read a lot and decorated rooms thru the years. I see you want a warm no frills palette, you can paint all the walls in the same color or have one colored differently (accent wall) and then tie in that color with accessories. You could also different shades of the same color for a monochromatic approach. Au revoir to Couch then. @Yuwree That situation does sound weird however the only minus is the minors and how it could affect them. You aunt is an adult so its up to her to decide what she allows her husband to do while continuing with the marriage. I don't think hiding the arrangement from the girls will work, they will find out soon enough. If they are serious about the arrangement they should just be upfront with the girls, of course with their ages there is no need to go into the gory details but they should know daddy will live here now with his 'bf', mommy will stay at the house, etc. |

You aunt and uncle should sit the girls down, probably separate at first (they can explain better to a 13 yr. old than a 9) and then together. What's important is for the girls to know what the change means for them or doesn't and how that change doesn't affect their relationship with their parents. You know the good old mommy and daddy love you very much and that will never change bit. If I was them I would either divorce or have an open marriage than only close friends and family knew about, children are quite adaptive and resilient. |

I used to volunteer at one, I brought home so much crap I had to cut myself off. Never furniture though. Spoiler: click to toggle Oh, I won't ask why you didn't pursue a career in ID but you've been most helpful to me, thanks. I wish I could get a rainforesty pic on wallpaper and just plaster that over one of the walls as a feature and be done with it. Although I've managed to broker a deal that involves someone else painting my house for me so painting will be fine I suppose. I might go with an accent wall or different shades of forest green in that case. Yes, it's a sad day. My best mate just texted to tell me how happy she is that I'm getting rid of Couch. edit:

LOL no, that's probably never going to happen in Melb. I'm at my parents' house because close to campus. I just forget that other people live here because no one ventures into my portion of the house (bedroom/lounge/study). But there isn't anyone else to inherit it so.

Glad I could help. You can make a picture into a wallpaper, of course you will have to pay a company to do it but you can have that rainforest wallpaper if you desire. That bitch, cut her from your life. How dare she?! I hope she has nightmares of Couch landing on her, that would be hilarious. Classical music is the best. |

Hrmmm.. I might have to do some research. I've seen some beach backdrop feature walls and they look pretty rad. Yes, she tends to have vivid dreams so that would be pretty funny.

in my case, i have no one to accompany me to bed (plus im already at that age when it's not cute anymore to ask someone to) so I ended up like O_O the whole night (plus sweating cold sweat too) Planck, when is the 7 moon/month(?) celebration? I remembered watching a Singaporean horror movie once. Do people really dont go out late during the time? |

@babycakes-- Yessss, it was great. I was a little worried going in because of the hype surrounding the movie, but in the end I was pleasantly surprised. --- @Rexie-- Aww... Edgar's excellent company for sleepless nights, js. 7th lunar month was from August to early September this year. And yes, I think people are supposed to avoid wandering around at night because of "Hungry Ghosts". There's also a bunch of other superstitions associated with it, like not going swimming, not playing musical instruments after a certain time (not sure if this is legit), etc. I don't know much about the details since I'm neither religious nor local--most of this stuff I hear from my friends and neighbours. |
