I've emailed perhaps two applications, you've more courage than me. Do you mean mint leaves or breath mints? I find chewing gum helps me because it's a distraction but it's considered unprofessional so. But why would you want to stop. (Except don't buy Empires, it's shite). Yuwree that show really speaks to me. |

Out of curiosity how far can you girls run? I've always had bad knee's/feet/cardiovascular health so i've never really gotten over 1k, but today I used my buildings eliptical? machine and it was really easy, made 2km in just over 20 minutes and I wasn't out of breath which was a first for me :3 |

2.4k, because I have to and I hate failing. Apparently, it's easier on those things because the machine does some of the work for you? Idk. But good job, tho. The first time I ran more 1.6k on the machine I almost died falling off it. Also, I'm starting to miss that pine tree on your avatar hahaha. |

i never really calculated how far, but i can jog (steady pace) for an hour straight. i use to do it every other day, but since i've been busy with uni lately i can only do it friday afternoons. i never really liked machines, so i do my jogs at some park or around the neighborhood. i like mother nature. |

I used to be able to run 2-3k before high school. Now, I'll probably be lucky to get 500m without stopping. You guys pay to apply to uni? |

that's a lot of running! i wish i was as dedicated as you are. i always jog just before sunset or sometimes at night. so there aren't as much people in the park by that time. but since it's starting to get chilly here, i think i might have to jog at uni's gym instead. Yuwree: it took me a while before i got used to it tbh. |

the only way you could get me to run voluntarily is to play ball sports bc that takes my mind off running and it's fun. |

sorry for the late response. Yes, we have to pay to send in our applications - it's about $50-$80 a pop. Sometimes you can get the fee waved, but it's with school counselor approval (max is 2 I think and it might only apply to state unis). We also have to pay extra fees if we want to send in additional transcripts. Pursuing higher education here is expensive in comparison to many other countries. |

Good luck anon. orange It certainly seems so. I should've looked into going on exchange because I certainly don't have the kind of money they want from int. students + boarding. I mean, you do have some of the best institutions/facilities so I guess it's kinda worth it but you'd think it only fair for them to start ripping you off after you've been admitted. (My university claims to be a not-for-profit organisation )

True, exchange is more cost-effective. International students do pay a hefty price, but universities really like them, so they make special arrangements sometimes; we have an official grading job here at the university that usually hires international students to do the work - it's meager pay, but because the int. students are employed by the university, they now get to pay resident fees instead of international costs. It's a way of working the system (kind of). Oh, they prep you early, here: if you want a good education before college, you have to pay for it - for public schooling that includes AP exams, IB exams, english class reading list books, student parking passes. You even have to pay $15 to get your phone back if they take it away from you (cell phone use is prohibited from most high schools). When you get to the uni level, you get all new costs thrown at you. Luckily, I am not paying out the wazoo for schooling because I a) chose to stay in-state and b) receive a lot of funding. Even just going to school out of state costs about double what you'd expect to stay in-state, because state laws require their public flagship unis to give in-state residents priority (I have a friend from high school who is paying about 50k a year to attend UCLA, and he doesn't qualify for financial aid nor does he have many scholarships; so freakin expensive, but he's enjoying himself so). Sorry for the wall of text
