It's okay, get some rest. :alright:

You should watch the show though (accessible through the ABC website but the quality is kinda meh). Dunno what your schools were like in QLD but I can relate so much to this show idk.

Anon Wiki is your friend. I actually called some alumnae to confirm because I thought the series was being shot in Sydney.

I love Ja'mie, watched all of the shows with that character. Chris Lilley is a brilliant comedy writer, his shows never fail to amuse me. There are loads of comments in videos that people know a real life Ja'mie, but I think her character is a bit too extreme for anyone to be like her. Sometimes Ja'mie does things that make me think of my sister though. =_=

Time for school. Lets see how many people remembered my birthday so I can make them feel awkward when they don't. Posted Image

cool thanks.

@windmill to an extent there were girls in my high school that spoke and acted like ja'mie- but they weren't racist and didn't make fat jokes...they were just really self-involved and mean in other ways

Haha well she is a fictional character, she's an exaggeration of girls who exist irl, I've known girls like her so it's not surprising that other people have too. But they probably mean a number of different girls who thought they were tops at one thing or another (modelling/sport/philanthropy). I think the reason it's quite popular in Aus is because a lot of people can actually relate to it on some level. It is, in it's 'unique' way, a relatively accurate portrayal of our high school experience and Chris Lil is scarily believable as a 17yo girl. I think I really need to go and watch SHH. I actually quite liked the girl (from high school) who most closely approximates the Ja'mie character.

Hope you have/had fun making people feel awkward. :)

looking back at hs i don't think i could have crushed on any of the girls that were like ja'mie, they were too intimidating and exclusive at my school.

No, not at all. She was sassy at times but not ill-meaning.

But I didn't like her in that way. She was popular (well not so much with the Asians but I honestly felt that they didn't make any effort to get to know her as a person, rather sticking to their preconceived surface-level judgement of her character). She was very interested in meeting boys and throwing parties but she also threatened to beat up my best friend for me one day when I was upset and she assumed we'd fought lol. Funnily, she also recommended I let someone (a guy) perform cunnilingus on me.

I don't think I could have crushed on any of the girls that I went to school with, period, since we grew up together and I couldn't consider them romantically even though some of them were quite attractive.

Would you rather dive... Into a relationship with a friend or a complete stranger? Why? Elaborate and cite sources. 10pts.

@anon how do you qualified a stranger tho? you must have been in a state of knowing your partner to an extent where you know them and you feel comfortable around them in order to build a relationship at the first place

@dino, ye, like they're not your friend or anything but you get to know them gradually as u spend time with 'em say, on dates or what have you. Like u have to build something from scratch with them.

Friends first for me cus it's their personality and their everyday quirks that I find interesting. Plus I hardly trust anyone so I need to be sure that I could trust this person completely and I can be as comfortable as possible to build a further relationship

A friend, any relationship needs a good sturdy foundation and friendship base is good for a romantic relationship.

Would you count documentaries? If yes, I liked The Pirelli Calendar Saga and Exit Through the Gift Shop. If no, I liked films by Gabriele Muccino: L'ultimo bacio, Ricordati di me, and Baciami ancora. Actually, there are no favourites, this is a mean questions. :(
