man i really want to like the hunger games but i just can't help but feel it's so overhyped for what it is, which is mediocre young adult fiction that's (don't shoot me) barely any better writing/plot-wise than twatlight. the concept is super interesting but the execution is meh

i really think the movie versions kind of improve on the books in a lot of ways tho. most notably j. law's performance as katniss, girl killed it in the first movie

x2

Although, I do admit I like how the author writes the actual games themselves, since I feel like the snappy short sentences serve the action scenes very well. I also think that the books focus too much on the crappy plot and insipid love triangle, whereas the film played up the fast-paced badassery of the arena, which has kind of eradicated the plot problem so far and really played to the strengths of the book.

I the first book the love triangle is barely mentioned. Katniss though that Peeta was staging his love for her to get sponsors and she went along. Yes, she was super confused about his feelings for her, but she wasn't confused about her own for a second. In the film they showed what happened in the other districts while things were going on in the arena, but in the book that didn't happen. I scuffed when Gale showed up on screen and looked very hurt when Katniss acted like she felt she same way for Peeta. The first film was pushing the love story line way too much. They probably remembered the hype surrounded team edward and team jacob, and decided to push the triangle.

If the dog was drunk as hale with a [Inser whatever animal Hyo is] in some den and the cat off somewhere frolicking with a deer, this would be accurate.

But lol at this poor puppy, cat ain't having it.

A friend of mine just linked me this:

''If Anne Frank had not died a teenager in a Nazi concentration camp in 1945, Justin Bieber hopes she would have been his devoted fan.
That's what Bieber, 19, wrote in the guestbook at the Anne Frank House when he visited there Friday, according to the Amsterdam site.
"Truly inspiring to be able to come here. Anne was a great girl. Hopefully she would have been a belieber," Bieber wrote. The tourist site posted the message on its Facebook page.
Adolescent and teen girls obsessed with the Canadian singer are known as "beliebers."
Bieber, who is in the middle of a European tour, stopped by the Anne Frank House between his concert in Antwerp, Belgium, and a Saturday performance in Arnhem, Netherlands. He told fans on Twitter it was a "chill day."
Bieber visited the house "together with his friends and guards" Friday night, according to the site's official Facebook page. The Anne Frank House confirmed to CNN that its Facebook post carrying Bieber's message was authentic.
"Fans were waiting outside to see a glimpse of him. He stayed more than an hour in the museum," the Facebook page said.''

It happens often in other concerts, it's not a rare happening. Do think most will find it hilarious, and if not.... Other people will definitely talk about the bra throwing and that might cause a domino effect. :shifty:

Some S0NES might be shocked because you are throwing your bra at another girl, but the reaction it will provoke will be grand.

if i ever get the chance to throw a bra i don't think it'll reach them. i'm 100% sure it would land on someone's head or something. i'm too short and my skill throwing sucks. :-/

Try standing up front.

Don't think it will be possible for me to ever throw a bra, would never go into the pit. Way too much pushing and sweat for my liking.

the only solution is to build a trebuchet outside an open concert venue and rain bras upon the stage. blot out the sun

a 3rd explosion has been reported

People originally thought it was a gas explosion but reports are coming in that devices were seen near the front of the hotel. They are mostly working on getting the injured people help atm, so most of the reports are coming in from eyewitnesses via twitter and forum posts. If you check out yahoo news theres live reports going on with pictures of the explosion and blood on the sidewalk, its quite sad :(

Third explosion, if recent, is probably by the Boston police, who said they would be carrying out a controlled explosions in the next few minutes. Source BBC twitter feed- these guys are the best for information imo.
