I'm gonna post here because if I post on the snsd thread, they might jump me
but those yoonsic shippers are so funny
I'm not hating, I just find their comments amusing as hell. They all sound like the same person over and over again lol
x2, it's just too funny. i don't even find it annoying like some people do, sometimes one of them says something and i actually have to stifle my giggles before scrolling down

Ew, the Daily Fail.

Also, this has been known for ages, since like the 1970s, with Snyder studying around 600 dreams and finding out that 70% were "highly coherent", with only 5% being "3x0tic".

Edit: Obviously I meant the word 3x0tic and not the fans of the SM kids.

I'm pretty sure you're missing something.
indeed daily fail was a bad choice, try this

No, this is also old news. Not only Snyder, but some neuroscientists way back in 1997 have been recording increases in limbic activity during dreaming, and EEG scans have already shown that REM delta waves are similar to waking life. Zadra et al (in 2004, I think) already coined the idea of reality in dreams through a content analysis of what people dream about to prove its prevalence.

I guess the way they used the computer is new? If that's what the article is saying. It's like an extension of Dement & Kleitman's study in 1957.

it's like a report of what happened in your dream; I'm a ware of what you're saying, and again I believe you might be a bit confused. there are experiments that show the images you're imagining with a suprising accuracy. but it's not what we're talking about. it's programming created to decipher your dreams, also how and what what happened during your sleep.

No, I understood that perfectly well. The only new thing about this study is that they're using a computer instead of a person.

Speaking of dreams, something creepy just happened to me last night. So, i was tired and slept early last night then woke up with a sleep paralysis. I got the whole shebang: hearing voices and creepy whispers, and hallucinations. I kept calm and gained control of my body after quite a while (the longest I needed to recover from SP). Then I reached for the remote and turned on the TV. There was a football match on, @rsenal vs QPR. I watched it for a couple of minutes, but then I woke up. The whole thing was a dream; my waking up from sleep and SP, and my watching TV.

So I got off my bed, brew some tea and while drinking it, turned on the TV in the living room... and taadaa, on the TV was a football match between @rsenal vs QPR.

I was seriously creeped out and mindfucked. What. The. Hell.

Tru story.

Once that happened to me over and over and over. I would wake up (my sp was as bad as yours, and sometimes I'm sure I was screaming or crawling from my bed and some shadows were laughing and holding me, grabbing my feet- which was not true ofc), then I would wake up.
Then I would realize i did not wake up and repeat the process.
Then wake up.
And repeat process.
And wake up.
And repeat process.
Etc

Wait, if I'm still dreaming right now, wouldn't that make you a figment of my imagination? Have you ever felt that you're not real? How do you know you're real?

@GG
Gosh, that sounds scarier. My hallucinations never were that scary. They're usually just figures floating or standing in the corners. And that kind of multiple levels are amazing really.

That's kinda what happens to me everytime I have sp. I feel a presence in my room and try to scream but can't make a sound, try to move to turn on the lights but cant move, after what feels like an eternity I'm able to reach the light and wake up, but I'm not actually awake and everything repeats, again and again. I had this 4 nights in a row, I was so freaking scared to go to sleep.

I've had one too, I was sleeping and I felt like someone was strangling me and I couldn't breath or scream or anything it was scary as fuck. It was my first and only time, my little bro has a lot of these sleep paralysis and because I sleep really late and his room is next to mine I always hear him make weird scary noises, once he woke up and told me that someone kicked him out of his bed.

Here in Morocco they call it "Hmar lil" the donkey of the night, I mean not my brother the sleep paralysis thing.

what specific branch or topic did you enjoy the most?
Kind of a cop-out answer again, but I do like all kinds of maths, though I admit graphs were my least favourite aspect of it. I like algebraic equations.
Do you means graphs as in the ones used to visually define algebraic equations, or the graphs used in graph theory?

If meant the former, i'm surprised you didn't like it if you like algebraic equations (again, another broad term and i'm just going to assume you mean high school algebra).

I only took maths to high school level, unfortunately, so yeah... I'm speaking about high school level. And I believe that it is the former, because I just really don't like graphs at all in maths. Even though I love them to express statistical trends. ._.

Oh I see. Um, i'm not sure if i'm interpreting your last sentence correctly: do you mean you like to look at the statistical trends modeled on a graph or that you like to make graphs that hold statistical data?

Because to do the latter, you would have to find a fit curve for your data and graph it which, I think, is what you meant when you said you don't like graphs (since that's all that they are: representation of algebraic equations that hold points/data).

Sorry, i'm just confused.

Depends on how much you eat of a pizza. I looked on the box of a frozen pizza in the freezer and it said 1400 calories for the entire thing.

Anything is unhealthy if you eat too much of it.

DA

Actually I had one incident of SP. I doubt that was a paranomic activity that night.

I woke up in the middle of the night only to find myself unable to move/scream and I saw a pair of grey arms holding me down at my chest level. I could feel myself screaming internally but it was still paralysed at that point of time. I don't remember how I was eventually released but I know that I was too afraid to sleep after that. I called my bestie up and she chatted with me from 3+am till the 6+am.. I feel so bad after that because she had to work the next day.

Another strange incident was.. I had a dream within a dream and it happened over a year back.. It sure wasn't triggered/influenced by watching 'inception' because I only watched the movie like last month.
