yoonsic shippers should get some kind of prize or something. for most consistent and vaguely suggestive commentary on gifs of subtle hand touches. maybe once upon a time taeny shippers could have competed for this just bc of sheer numbers... or even yulsic, bc of their loyalty... but now it's not even a contest
lol ikr... and then I started wondering if every single yoonsic gifs is like a page reminder or something.. the pattern of discussion is always the same to the point that I could memorize them lol. totally not hating them tho

It is. If you want to masturbate, that's great, good for you. I hope you enjoy it. I just honestly can't understand why you'd try and convince someone else to do it, too - I think that's beyond stupid. Shockingly, some people don't want to.

for the same reasons you'd try to convince someone else to do anything? it's just like saying, you should play this video game because i thought it was awesome. or watch this movie, it may change your life (or it might not, but it won't hurt you to watch it). or try, idk, baking a cake w/o cake mix at least once before you die. because it's fun and pleasurable and healthy and ofc there's no guarantee you'll like it but there's a possibility you might like it a lot?

Yeah, but it's different to those things. Some people just really don't want to, despite all they know otherwise, sort of like skydiving. You can go on and on about how awesome it is and how much you enjoy it, and how much you love it and the thrill it gives you, but some people will just never want to skydive.
The entire concept might just something they really, really dislike, and would never even consider doing, and if you keep going on about it, it stops becoming a recommendation and starts becoming incredibly ignorant on your part and/or uncomfortable on theirs.

There's a difference between educating and pressuring. By all means, mention it as an option, but going so far as to make a powerpoint? I think you should mind your own business, when it comes to sexuality especially.

I don't mind the powerpoint.
I think of it as educational!
I believe sexuality should not be a taboo, it should be discussed, not in a vulgar way of course. When you don't have a discussion about sexuality and intercourse you have ppl thinking it is wrong/gross/etc. OR you have ppl doing really crazy things because they just had no idea.
Reading about such things could help you have a better sexual life, help you please your partner and so on.
Besides, masturbating... is a natural process? as in, humans are curious when it comes to their bodies, even if it's just for exploring, not for the pleasure itself.
If you disagree, or can't stand ppl talking about such things publicly, or trying to "persuade" you, why did you end up with such link anyways?
If you don't care about it, just ignore it lol don't roll your eyes at others, just like ppl roll your eyes at you because of your position.

It's not really educational, is it. Have you read it? It's like 6 slides of "do it because it's fun". If it was a powerpoint of medical benefits, then sure - that would be educational, and I'd respect that, although I'd still think it was retarded and childish to make a powerpoint about it instead of having a proper talk with your friends.

Plus, it's not the sexuality I have a problem with, so don't act like it's only because I'm a ~crazy prude~ who ~can't stand the mention of sex~. Sexuality is a common topic here, and everyone is very open about their sex life, and I have absolutely no issue with that. Your life, your choices, it's more than acceptable to talk about.

But. You can be open with your sexuality without pressuring other people. I love reading, and I love talking about reading, and I think reading is a wonderful way to spend your time. I'm not about to make a fucking powerpoint and show it to my friend who doesn't like reading to try and convince her into reading and then refuse to accept that she doesn't want to read.

And isn't it obvious that I came across it browsing the viral images on Imgur?

Honestly. I disapprove of people trying to force their perceptions on other people, not of the act itself. Not everyone masturbates, and not everyone wants to. And that isn't because society is ~oppressing~ them, it's just because they don't want to.

You don't need to misinterpret my entire stance just to make a point.

I think the powerpoint, while obviously intended to be funny and not to be taken seriously, does kind of assume anyone who isn't inherently sexual needs to be "fixed" in some way. I think it's ridiculous: what someone chooses to do - or not do - with their sex life isn't anyone's business (as long as you're not hurting yourself or anyone else in the process). Some people masturbate, some don't. I don't see why anyone else should concern themselves with other's intimate choices if it's not adversely affecting them.

that said, i'm not sure why the powerpoint was even linked here in the first place...LOL I would've just scrolled past it because a powerpoint made by some ignorant jerk is not even worth a second glance.

Sure the presentation is silly, but when I said Educational I meant it in the way that it could be helpful for some, sure it doesn't mention medical benefits as you said, but it mentions that it could be fun! and for some that is the key factor.
And lawl, did I ever say you were some kind of "~crazy prude~ who ~can't stand the mention of sex~"?
when I said "if you disagree", I meant the whole powerpoint/you should masturbate "trying to persuade you" thing.
I have no idea who you are, so there's no way I could have any knowledge of your sex life or sexual interests.

It just reminded me of a few conversations with some people I've had in the past, that I talked to on some other forum, as well as some people I knew IRL.

Reread it, might have sounded that way, but that was not my intention. I meant for it to sound as if you disagree to what was on the presentation and being persuaded to engage in masturbation.

I don't disagree with what they're saying, I disagree with the way they're saying it. It probably is fun, a lot of people say it is, and good luck to them, or whatever. I don't disagree with people giving a casual recommendation, either - as I said before, people recommend skydiving, and that's cool. I also don't disagree with talking about what's good about it, as long as the conversation is casual and it doesn't devolve into uncomfortable territory for either party.

What I do disagree with is being an obnoxious fuck about it and refusing to believe that some people just aren't that sexual. Like, stop acting as if people need to be convinced to masturbate, because that's ridiculous. Maybe they actually don't want to, as shocking as that concept is. It doesn't mean they're oppressed or ashamed or sexually repressed, it just means they don't have the same priorities as you clearly do.

Like I wrote, there's a difference between educating and pressuring.

basically I was working at some place, handling a bar, and when I packed up, the supervisor said to take the full bottles elsewhere. Thinking back on it, i think i misunderstood full=unopened, but he might have meant the ones with still stuff in it not just the unopened. I gave the nearly empty bottle with no more than one shot- like really, to one of the musician bands cause they kept bothering me the whole night to give them bottles and now they're making a huge deal out of it and saying i wont get paid. which is fine, cause i cant be bothered the hassle, but they're making it seem like so and so security didnt want you to get paid but we were like no, and when i tried explaining, didnt feel like they were really listening anyway. Annoying thing, im a student, they are students, stop with the fucking pretentiousness and 'supervisor' as if they were saving me from something. Fucking told me as well when i got the email to pick up the money, could have told me beforehand but made me walk in the rain for nothing.

there, now it's not cryptic.

I'd have thought the same, so that's not really your fault. It's a mistake of clarification on the supervisor's part and the rest is pure dickishness from other people.

The thing is at the end of the day I don't need the money (as pretentious as that sounds) and I had fun working. If they're going to make such a big deal and if i'm going to have to put up with investigations, when they clearly are not believing what I say and make it seem as they are rescuing from the University's security service and that I have to be grateful for being made out to feel like an idiot then fuck them. 50 quid ain't worth having to explain myself like a baby to people who are the same age as me. I know it sounds childish but they were clearly not believing what I said.
Apparently if you give alcohol away, the policy is that you don't get paid (i didnt know about this either), but I thought it was fine cause they were talking about unopened bottles and there was literally one fucking shot. I'd rather not get paid than face them again.
