Oh dear. I'm simultaneously freaked out and impressed. Had any caffeine? That's the only way I'd be able to do it and I'd be really bitchy.

But I only drink caffeine before working out now lol

She switched to making pancakes now, with the aide of one of my other roommates.

Nope, I haven't. I can only drink caffeine if it's in a cream-based frappuccino or in a fizzy drink, and I've not had either of those. I'm just reading about the Middle East right now.

Arti - I am impressed then. I loves my caffeines so much. Learning interesting things?

Orange - She's not a good singer. I don't care though, because we've been passing a bottle of tequila back and forth since 9:30 and I can't sleep because my shoulder hurt. But to be honest... the tequila is making everything feel pretty good lol

I don't really like the taste. :P
And yeah, I guess. I'm just keeping up to date with what's happening... Reading about Africa, I'm not liking this Muslim Brotherhood. :-/ They're not behaving well in Egypt and they're hardly being reasonable in Libya, too...

Both countries are ripe for chaos, actually, considering their history. Neither have a history of peaceable transition of power or the reign of the will of the people. Quite simply, they don't know what they want or how to get it so northern Africa will be mired in anarchy for a decade or so.

It is a slow night. I don't mind, though. Tequila is smooth and music is beautiful.

Pretty much. I think the Muslim Brotherhood is unfairly taking advantage of wherever there seems to be instability - Morsi seemed to be getting off on a good start, then WOOP TERRIBAD CONSTITUTION.

Why can't you see that for the compliment that it is? Perhaps she can only express her love by dismissing it as superficial! :dramaqueen:

Agreed, and it's a shrewd and obvious move. Constitutions, by and large, tend to be failures. I think the American Constitution is the only example of a breathable, worldly document with any amount of long term efficacy and I don't say that just because I live here. It's not easy to write such a public, universal, general system of government that allows a population to both obey and thrive.

I'm quite fond of the British constitution myself, if only for the fact that it's pretty much unrecorded and it leaves less room for wackjobs to cite rules that were made 200 years ago as excuses to perpetuate prejudice and discrimination in the modern world. The fact that we can adapt it and have it grow naturally, meaning that it evolves with our society and that gives it a lot more power than it might have otherwise, and the way in which the information is stored means that you'd need to spend such a disproportionate amount of time finding out about the intricacies of it that manipulating it is too arduous for most people to bother with.

It's just such a shame. Egypt has gone through a lot under Mubarak and it's a shame Morsi couldn't live up to what was expected of him, and what he was capable of. :-/

The idea that a single document can control an entire population and yet provide enough room to grow with the population is fascinating...

I was always under the impression that the UK didn't have a single document to call a constitution... but correct me if I'm wrong. Also I'm slightly tipsy lol.

That's what I mean by "unwritten". Technically it's all there, but not consolidated into one form.

Yep, you understood it rightly!

Saying that, though, I'm not too sure as to whether it's a British constitution or an English one made into a British one... I'll have to check.

I love the German XL episode so much. I spent the whole 43 minutes listening to Stephen and correcting everyone's German pronunciation as if they could hear me lol.
