So today I went to get a haircut with my mom and I wanted my hair to be shorter than my previous cut. I want it to be kind of like how Sunny's short hair was during The Boys era and during IY2 but she keeps on telling me that I'll look like Ch@rice (and she also told me "are you really going to cut your hair short? and are you going to come out too?" and I was like "WTF? Am I that obvious?" ) and the stylist also doesn't want to cut it that way cause she can't stand Ch@rice's style. So yeah, went for something a little more feminine but my mom still insist that I look like a dude or something and when I got home my sister was like "WTF did you do to your hair?!" she said that I kind of wasted my hair and I think it's cause I'm the only one who has pretty decent straight hair, (my siblings have wavy ones) she said it looks weird.
So now every time I look at the mirror I kind of regret having my hair cut short. and now that I think about it I don't think my hair now suits me at all cause my face looks big and round as fuck.
So yeah, just wanted to let that out. I've been looking at my reflection from time to time and I can't help but think of what they said. I know I shouldn't mind it but I don't know, it somehow just irritates me that now I can't even cut my hair short without being called a "tomboy" or being compared to Ch@rice. How I wish she just grow her hair again and sport a different style so I can have my hair to look anything that I want and It's not like tomboys are the only one who can sport short hair right? I'm just really annoyed right now.

I had my first aikido class in a few weeks today and I'm in so much pain I could really do with a massage... I should've stayed in bed and snacked all day instead
/PC I've been doing aikido for 10 years now.
Dang girl, you must be pro! I only started last September because my university offered free classes. Spoiler: click to toggle Does it get less painful
Well lets just say that my years of training have given me some good results. And to answer to your question, it does get less painful. When you've learned the basics, and they go smoothly, it'll be less painful.

One Hit: i think it's rather psychological, when i got out of the hair salon with my new haircut i loved it, but when ppl started saying it makes me look chubbier and manlier etc etc i started not liking it and didnt like my reflection and cudnt stop but realize what they say like seeing myself that my face is chubbier etc but just love it how you wnat it doesnt matter what ppl think, it just ruins your whole day really lol

It's your hair, cut it how you want. Short hair is comfortable and easy to maintain. And that's why I want it to be cut short too. And also I like playing with my hair when I'm bored so yeah. I don't need to comb it for minutes, don't need to have it dried for a long time, don't need to use a lot of shampoo and conditioner (because conditioner is hard to wash off and I hate it), and I don't even need to tie it during laboratory work in school cause it can't be tied! how awesome is that! There's a lot of benefits having short hair too bad they can't see it like how I see it.

I feel ya, my mum freaked out real bad and half yelled at me through the phone once she knew that I cut my hair short (I was living overseas at that time). It was pretty ridiculous because I was already 23 at that time, and I paid my own. She was worried so much that i'd look like a boy bla bla bla (I think my mum suspected at some point, parents intuition ya know), but I didnt care, I loved it so much. Like you said, it's so convenient and it actually suited my face better. At the end of the day it's your hair, if you feel comfy with it, who the hell cares.

the fact that you're already in the prep for a medicinal college is enough to proof that you're smart, just take it Haru, it's a nice compliment
lol, it works differently in msia, everyone is in prep college (no matter if it's med or not) it's like 6th year lol so technically anyone who can score high and show diversity has a chance oh ok haha, i think it's admirable enough that you actually consider medicine while knowing the endless amount of studying you have to go through. One of my friends is a doctor, and I felt sorry for her when she was still in college, heck you still have to study even once you become a doctor. The amount of countless studying is just for me

Yeah, I guess you're right. They'll get used to it eventually. And I'm still planning on cutting it shorter so I should prepare them. btw, are you the one asking for the reg who's going to start medicine? I don't know if I was the one you're talking about, but I just started med school last June 13.

If you like it, who gives a shit what other people say? The important part is that you like it.
Yeah. I should learn how to like it. It's my freakin' hair. So I should still have the last say? Shouldn't I?

I feel ya, my mum freaked out real bad and half yelled at me through the phone once she knew that I cut my hair short (I was living overseas at that time). It was pretty ridiculous because I was already 23 at that time, and I paid my own. She was worried so much that i'd look like a boy bla bla bla (I think my mum suspected at some point, parents intuition ya know), but I didnt care, I loved it so much. Like you said, it's so convenient and it actually suited my face better. At the end of the day it's your hair, if you feel comfy with it, who the hell cares.
